Love, love, love it! From the decor, to the fabulous steamed buns, spicy garlic edamame, and of course, the most delightful sushi in the city, this place is an ace :) And what could be better? It's a byo! My new obsession, hands down!

Simply Delicious. My sister and I went here on Saturday night to check it out as a possible place for my bachelorette party.
It was moderately full when we arrived at 9:20pm (late dinner) but we were seated immediately. The service was a little slow (there were only two servers) but once we ordered everything arrived quickly.
We stared with the rock shrimp served atop crispy radicchio and rice noodles. They were scrumptious and it was a generous amount for an appetizer. We didn't think we could finish it but they were so good we ate them all.
The double spicy tuna roll is just that - spicy! The interior tuna is mixed with siracha and the top layer of tuna is topped with cayenne pepper. Beautiful presentation and there is NO need for wasabi or soy sauce on this roll. It's perfect the way it is.
We also had the dragon roll and the shrimp tempura roll.
Both exactly what to be expected from these staples in the sushi scene. Perfect execution.

Great atmosphere and BYO. Can't beat it.

Not the best Japanese in town, but.... They just opened and I can see that they are enthusiastic. The waitress was delightful, the service was good and I don't think the check was too bad either. Now the food- they were decent, OK, if not the greatest. Tempura, agedashi tofu, tonkatsu and hamachi Kama were all fine and met the usual expectations. I won't say they were the best, but very good, especially considering our Fairmount location.
The problem was Sushi: I had Sushi deluxe and not really pleased with it. The fish itself was not 'very fresh' and very wet- and I don't think they have the best sushi maker in town. The fish was all cut too thick and It seemed like "fish on top of a chunk of rice" rather than actual Sushi. I like big fish-small rice sushis but this was way too disappointing. I might give a try one more time - because last time was right after the snow storm.
And I like their hot foods and definitely going back for more. Welcome to the neighborhood!

It was raining pretty hard when we got here, so I didn’t get a chance to take my usual photo of the outside so I settled for a pic of the sushi chefs at work. I was excited for this Korean-Japanese fusion (not the usual fusion, but more of a modern take on things). kalbi skewer we started off with the kalbi skewers because I was craving some Korean BBQ. I was hoping for more than 2 skewers but the marinade was your typical korean bbq. yum! h rock shrimp tempura This has got to be one of my favorite dish of all times, so any time I see rock shrimp tempura on the menu, I have to order it. I don’t know if this one has the same caliber as Pod or Morimoto , but it was prepared well and tasted great. lobster tempura roll I was expecting a lot for this roll but the lobster flavor was completely lost. I do love soybean paper wrap. medusa roll The medusa roll has shrimp tempura, avocado, spicy sprouts, and spicy mayo on the inside, w

The service is honestly my favorite in the city. Delicious, VERY well prepared food. Love the Korean inspired options. Love the hand rolls. Good date or double date spot. Prices are very fair - $3 for a miso soup which is a must, so delicious and cozy. BYO with a $5 corkage. Nearly a perfect little casual restaurant. Been twice and looking forward to returning!

Fantastic neighborhood Japanese BYOB. For the sushi and rice lovers (not noodles unless in soup), they have SO MUCH to pick from and all amazing. The dinner bento boxes are fantastic for takeout (you get a little bit of everything). In the restaurant, I cannot recommend enough the spicy pork bibimbap. Imagine a blazing hot stone bowl with rice, vegetables, pork, that continues to cook and get crispy while you eat it. AH-MAZING. Other recommendations- pork gyoza (fantastic), triple spicy double, tuna, roll, island, roll, Medusa roll. Great flavor, creative, and large in size. The staff is always wonderful and so friendly, and if you do want something to drink, there is a beer store next-door (it is overpriced, but it is convenient).

Came by Doma for a Friday afternoon dinner and really enjoyed it. We didn't have any issues grabbing a seat without a reservation around 5pm. Some quick facts: Doma accepts cash or card, and is BYOB. There is actually a beer store literally 20 feet from the front door, so it's easy to grab some options if wanted. We grabbed a few different rolls and some appetizers and enjoyed them all. We particularly enjoyed the Island roll. The service was also great overall. I'd recommend swinging by!

We came in on a Friday evening and it was fairly busy but not overwhelmingly so. All of the staff members were nice but our waitress, Yuli, was so awesome. She was cheerful, polite, and so helpful. We asked if they offered omakase, but they aren’t specifically an omakase restaurant, so she ended up accommodating us in a different way. She surprised us with different dishes one at a time and just asked if we wanted another surprise one to come out or if we were done. Some things we tried were the shumai, different rolls (one with kiwi!), and even a crispy rice with tuna tartare kind of dish. While we didn’t totally love everything (the nachos for example), it was a nice way to try things we haven’t had before! The restaurant is nice and chill, the food is good, but the experience was that much better because of Yuli! Thank you! Edited to add: this is BYOB and other reviews have mentioned that there is a beer store very close by.

Enjoyed a lovely meal here on a Saturday night. There were three of us and we ordered a mix of appetizers, rolls and sashimi in a couple rounds. The gyoza are fantastic (regular and spicy). If you're looking for an extra kick, ask for their house sauce. It'll change you. Their canned Coke tasted like fountain coke. The interior design is beautiful and the chairs are wild. Be ready to sit back and relax. Share interesting stories with whoever you're with and order what sounds tasty and interesting.
