Woodrow's Sandwich Shop - Philadelphia - Photo album

Tastes better than it looks! To be blunt, the service here kind of sucks but the sandwich is great — probably the best chicken cheesesteak I've had around. Plus it came out fast. I would probably grab takeout here again, despite the surly staff and slight inconvenience of needing to order and pay o
Absolutely delicious! One of the best for sure. The meat was perfect, the bread was soft and the cheese was quality. Definitely recommend this place and I’ll be back.
I had Woodrow’s a little lower on my list, because I wanted something more traditional for my cheesesteak experience than truffle whiz and cherry pepper mayo. But wow, was I ever wrong! The combo of the homemade truffle whiz and cherry pepper mayo was creamy and rich, with a hint of both mushroom
Authentic Wiodrow's Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich was absolutely incredible! They use a truffle oil in the cheese sauce that makes their sandwiches divine. The sub was huge, enough for two. We truly enjoyed our cheesesteak sub.
This place is absolutely worth the trip! So thankful for Alex Delaney's video showcasing Woodrow's as the best place to get a cheese steak in Philly, otherwise we would've missed it. Look at all that whiz!
Date of Visit: Sunday Aug 19th, 2023 When in Philly – one simply must have a Philly cheese steak. There are many places that advertise having them on the menu, or specialize in Cheesesteak to choose from. We looked at the Philly Tourism map of best cheesesteak shops in town, and looked into which o
Very delicious philly cheesesteak, I highly recommend it over many other resturants. However, its not the traditional cheesesteak as it has truffle and other toppings. The grilled chicken breast burger was good, a healthier option for those who want to balance lol. The resturant is relatively mid si
Cheesesteak is amazing here. Salads are great too! Grilled chicken sandwich has good flavour but meat was a little dry. Sauce and toppings were so good you barely noticed though
I had a few hours to kill and I was looking for a spot that was supposed to have some of the best sandwiches in Philly. Woodrow's certainly lived up to that reputation. You're going to use a QR code to order and there are limited tables, but the staff was friendly and efficient.
Quick business trip to Philly and needed to get a cheesesteak. Poured over online reviews and headed to Woodrows. Ordered the Whiz Wit...shaved ribeye, truffle whiz, cherry pepper mayo, caramelized onions...one of those transcendent bites where I simultaneously wanted to cry and maniacally laugh. I
Best cheesesteak I have ever had. I was specifically looking for a cheesteak that was not one of the big "tourist spot" establishments, and I happened upon Woodrow's. Absolutely delicious...the meat, the cheese, the roll. Highly reccomended. UPDATE Oct 2023: We have tried a total of 6 solid cheeses
I loved the cheesesteak and their in-house cheese sauce is the bomb! I was very disappointed with the homemade fries and would skip those next time and just have a bag of chips. 4.22.23-Returned again and the fries were on point this time! I put in order notes for them not to be overcooked. My chee
This was my first official Philly cheesesteak in Philly. Came on a road trip last week and researched many spots and decided on this one. I really enjoyed the cheesesteak. The meat had no fat or gristle. I liked their cherry pepper sauce and the truffle whiz. The only thing that could be better is t
We loved Woodrow's. As first time visitors to Philly, we knew we wanted to try and authentic cheesesteak and luckily, we found Woodrow's. Their menu is simple and you can order through to app at your table so there's no way to mess it up. Plus their wiz was the best. 10/10 would recommend for anyone
Cheesesteak sub was good. The truffle cheese is interesting. I like their fries.
Hurry down, baby, she's the hippest street in town- South Street! The Orlons sang it in 1963. Sitting in Woodrow's with a seat near the street window was a treat, that is true. But the real treats are the their sandwiches! A roast pork "torpedo" with provolone and broccoli rabe was my choice. Te
Honestly one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. The classic cheesesteak with the truffle wiz (even ordered more of it) was insaneeeeeee. So much meat, amazing bun, onions etc. It was jaw dropping. 100% a must visit. Also had the Cajun fries which were sublime. About $11 for the sandwich, others al
