With our office attached to the building where Harper’s Garden is located, we have been anxiously awaiting the opening! Tonight we hosted a retirement party at Harper’s Garden for 60 people. I worked with Nick Longobardi who was attentive to every detail, a pleasure to work with and extremely accommodating. He overdelivered in everything, as did the attentive staff. The drinks flowed and were buttered regularly, and we loved the specialty cocktail created for our event. You couldn’t ask for better servers who were available and took care of any requests or needs right away. Nick even had the drinks we selected printed and in tabletop frames for guests to know what their options were, which was a great touch! Th food was delicious - every thing we ate - but especially the fries which are giant and delicious, the pulled mozzarella and flatbread. We also made toasts during our party and hooked up a wireless speaker and microphone which Nick helped us with - there wasn’t one request he didn’t attend to.any people at the party stopped to tell me how much they loved the space, food, drink and Everything about the night! I can’t say enough good things about Harper’s Garden - it is a fabulous, unique and beautiful event space - and about the food, drinks, servers and in partial, Nick Longobardi who helped make tonight happen!
Best burger I’ve had in a long time. Fresh oysters and a bourbon old fashioned to start. Our server was excellent and very friendly. Will definitely return.
To my surprise, the food is very delicious, very creative. We tried the lamb meatball, squash salad, crab pasta, and fried plantain chip. just love all of them. The oysters are super fresh and sweet. I will be back.
Wonderful service, beautiful atmosphere and such quality and care taken with food preparation. So glad we found this amazing eatery!!
Amazing drinks. One really good looking bartender.
Service was excellent, I asked her for a spirit forward drink and the bartender delivered a spirit forward and herbal “newly minted” cocktail that was amazing. I got the beef melt and that also was utterly delicious. Chunks of well cooked beef made for a messy but tasty sandwich and a side salad with a great dressing, very impressed with the food and service, highly recommended!
Amazing food! The menu is limited but the taste of each dish was really good. The cocktail combinations are also good. The apricot mille feuille was definitely the best dish!
We went for Father’s Day brunch and we had a fantastic experience. We dined inside which was just as pretty as the outdoor dining area. Everyone’s cocktails were great, I got the hummingbird which I highly recommend. I also ordered the eggs Benedict with salmon and potatoes…yum! My two year old son had the scrambled eggs, pork sausage and side of fruit (which they were able to just do strawberries instead of big chunks of melon for him). He ate two whole plates of food that we cut up for him, he absolutely loved it. Skip the donuts unless they are being ordered for the table- which we did. They are mostly air (not joking) although delicious. Our server Meghan was very sweet and very accommodating. We look forward to going back!
Atmosphere: 1/1: Has Inside and outside area. Both nicely decorated. Outside area really is a garden!
Service: 1/1: staff was nice, welcoming and attentive
Price: 1/1: Prices are average
Food: 2/2: The Baba Ganouch was pretty good. But let me tell you that both the Tuna Aguachile and Burger with fries are well worth the visit to this restaurant. Both are well prepared and very tasty! Their drinks are also great! We had their “No shirt, no shoes” and “Secrete Garden”. Both are worth trying!
Overall: 5/5: Definitely check this place out for lunch or dinner! Great atmosphere. You can’t go wrong with their burger with fries, Tuna Aguachile and drinks!
I stumbled upon this place with my sister and decided to stop and grab something to eat. It was so good, I decided to take my parents here the following week for Sunday brunch. Sat on the patio for both visits. The staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is beautiful and the food was delicious!
Had a great time at Sunday brunch with my girlfriends. Their patio is very nice and the food was very tasty. Their specialty cocktails were amazing and beautifully crafted.
It is a crowded place- you should make reservations. The food here is always phenomenal. I particularly love the ‘Merica Burger. I’ve gotten it multiple times and it never disappoints. The reason I’m not giving a full 5 stars is because service was a little off. We got a cheese board and the waitstaff didn’t explain what cheeses that were on the board until I asked. Then after only eating a few bites of the cheeseboard, our main meal came out. I had to request they keep it warm in the kitchen because we still were eating the appetizer. Also, the blueberry lemonade mocktail is not sweet at all! Heads up if you like sweet drinks- it had a lot of lemon in it-so much I couldn’t finish drinking it.
I recently revisited Harper’s Garden for the first time since the pandemic and was disappointing to see they significantly shortened their dinner menu. While the burger and salmon were both good, there were only maybe 6 entrees to choose from and portions were small. However, the dim lit and cutely decorated ambiance, as well as the espresso martini still earns this place 4/5 stars in my book.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Harper’s, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Savannah, our server for the evening. Her attentive and friendly demeanor set the tone for the rest of the evening, and her knowledge of the menu and recommendations were impeccable.
After dinner, we decided to sit at the bar, where we met Nick, the talented bartender. Nick's expertise in mixology was evident as he crafted unique and delightful cocktails for us. His engaging personality and vast knowledge of the drink menu kept us lingering at the bar longer than we had intended, but we certainly didn't mind.
One standout item that caught our attention was the cheese board. It was a delightful assortment of cheeses that showcased both local and international varieties, paired with complementary accouterments. It was a true testament to the chef's dedication to providing a unique and memorable dining experience.
In addition to the exceptional food, the adventurous drink menu was a highlight of the evening. The creative and diverse selection of cocktails, wines, and spirits truly catered to every palate. It was evident that a lot of thought and creativity had gone into curating the drink menu, and it certainly paid off.
Overall, our experience at Harper’s was nothing short of fantastic. From the impeccable service provided by Savannah, the delightful creations by Nick at the bar, the flavorful food, the intriguing cheese board, and the adventurous drink menu, every aspect of our visit was top-notch. I highly recommend Harper’s to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience, and I will certainly be returning to savor more of what this exceptional establishment has to offer.
Quick service, delicious burger, fries, and drink (nihilist #2), which was not too sweet, a little spicy, and refreshing. Pretty decor, cool outdoor patio. The booth was a bit uncomfortable and more like a bench but that’s really my only complaint.
Visiting from NY and had to randomly pick a brunch place in the late morning / early afternoon on Dec 16 (Sat). I’m so glad I picked this place!
Got the chicken and biscuits with potato hash as a side and both were delicious! To top it all off, my server Meghan R. was such a sweetheart - she always had a friendly demeanor whenever interacting with me and other patrons.
She deserves a big shout-out - more servers like Meghan should be working in restaurants!
Excellent brunch spot! We visited from NYC and was recommended this place by a local. We got the truffle toast, eggs Benedict and short rib sandwich.
Quality and plating of the food was excellent and the decor of the restaurant was beautiful.
Drinks and service was great too! Overall would be back to try other items on the menu.
Had a delicious brunch following college graduation. Place is very comfy and the food was terrific. Supposed to dine outside but a little rain moved us indoors. Staff was very accommodating. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal!

Definitely one of my favourite spots in Philly =)
Very delicious food, nice staff and a very beautiful decor. I totally felt like I was in an illuminated garden, which it was… kind of =)
Highly recommended! Prices are mid range and it gets super crowded very easily. So plan ahead!

We had a friend visiting and came here for drinks and appetizers. They have great ambience and a fun selection of cocktails (with creative names). We enjoyed the Nihilist #2 and the Secret Garden. For food, we ordered the cheese board, Brussels sprouts and the beet salad. Everything was tasty, with large portions and well priced. We also had a server, Allison, who was absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend this spot for drinks with friends!
