Very good sandwich (The Slammer I think?) though next time I’ll ask for less press since crispy French bread is too tough. Super fresh ingredients and inviting atmosphere. Will be back
Espresso as a stand alone beverage is exceptional! Food is great! Fresh ingredients with many items mad fresh on premises daily...i wish they had an evening service! Staff is friendly and helpful. All around good experience
I absolutely love this bakery/cafe! They have freshly baked items everyday, amazing sandwiches made to your liking and tons of homemade goods like pastries, cream cheese, and sweets. Their coffee is really good too. I usually have a latte here and it's pretty bold and flavorful. I believe it is run

Pretty darn great. You'd be hard pressed to find a better cafe in philly. They have got quality breakfast sandwiches and they also have delicious artisanal breads.

I never write reviews but I’m making an exception for my new favorite place. They are just far enough away that its not really convenient for me to walk there but I fully don’t care. The staff is so nice the food is so good, the baked goods are incredible. 10/10 really great place, love it.

I love this place. The turkey panini is one of the best i've ever had. I also buy their fresh baked bread every week, worth every penny.
Had a fantastic sandwich today at Metropolitan today. Also tried the Cuban coffee. That was amazing. My new go to coffee and sandwich place. You've got to try this GREAT little spot!
We came across this place on our recent visit to Philly. So glad we found it as the coffee, sandwiches and bagels are delicious and great value. We visited most days. All the staff are great too and super helpful. Definitely recommend this place and we will be back on our next visit! Thank you 😊
I just moved out of the area but I'm still thinking about Metro! Sad that I haven't yet found a cafe as inviting or tasty as this place in my new area.
