I have been to a lot of jazz clubs and this one ranks in the top 5. Great music, great food, great atmosphere. Came here alone and feel part of the family. Definitely going to be my philly go to spot.

Saw John Swana's Quartet with Mark Allen on 7/8/16. First time at Chris's. Thoroughly enjoyed the music. John Swana is a wonderful valve trombonist with great lyrical and harmonic skill and verve. My wife and I are vegetarians and predictably the food was disappointing, but our meat-eating friends enjoyed their dinner. It was a very inviting and conducive atmosphere in which to enjoy some great music!

This is a smaller resturant but doesn’t feel over crowded. We bought the dinner/jazz entertainment show package and it’s worth every penny. The taste of the dood was one of the best I’ve ever had. Very small portions, it’s more for looks than anything. The jazz performers was nothing less than amazing. They’re true performers and really knows how to interacted with the crowd.

I was so impressed with my first visit to Chris'! We went for the full dinner and show package and it made for quite a classy night out! Our service, overall, was seemless and our server Rae (?) was so relaxed and professional. The food was also delicious but the main event, the jazz, was the star of the night! We went for the 9:30p show which was followed by an open jam session and because our table wasn't reserved for that, we stayed to hang out and see some new talent, which was equally impressive! Will definitely be back again soon!

10/10! Amazing food (to die for!!!!!!!) amazing atmosphere/aesthetic, amazing drinks, amazing music. This cafe is everything! I will definitely be returning!! The bartender Chris is a gem!! He was very attentive, funny, and kind. I wish the head chef/manager was available tonight to give my respects and compliments. Get used to this familiar face lol, me and my husband will definitely be new regulars😊

Really enjoyed my evening there tonight. Limited menu, but the options seemed like they would be pretty tasty. Cajun themed cuisine for the most part, which was a bit unexpected. Figured it would be basic bar food, but was pleasantly surprised. I had the Ricotta and Honey desert, which was beautifully presented and delicious. Caught a performance of "The Chronicles", and they were fantastic. Highly recommend both the Cafe and the group.

Great food and great music combined for a perfect dinner. The prix fixe menu had several options and I can say the jambalaya was delicious. Full bar with good wine and a killer espresso martini. Throw in a super talented vocalist with an excellent backing trio and it just doesn't get much better. Can't wait to return.

Always a great time at Chris. Food is excellent. I am always please with the menu selections. Drinks were well made, one of the best Dirty Martini's I've had in a long time. And lastly the music oh the music loved it. If you want a small intermit setting Chris' it is. Highly Recommend.

If you like real jazz, this is absolutely the place for you! I honestly think it’s the best jazz bar in Philly and have been coming here off/on for well more than a decade. On top of their resident / local musicians, they also welcome a variety of musicians from all over the world for one-night only gigs, which are also worth seeing. And the staff are always great. Friendly service and just plain fun to be around. One of Philly’s “hidden gems” that’s actually right in the middle of center city, just not in plain sight.

Loved the vibe. The entertainment was awesome. The bar staff were so accommodating, friendly and entertaining! I hadn't visited in several years but it's as awesome as I remember. Really glad it stood the test of time!

Both service and atmosphere were great. No wait on a Saturday night and we were walk-ins too. $30 for closer tables and 1 drink min per person. Band was great. Check their website for an idea of what's playing each night. Good beer selection.

Overall nice place. To enjoy music you really need to be in preferred seating area. Bar area and usual sitting area a quite far from stage and it can be quite noisy around. Food is only average.

It's one of the best jazz places in Philadelphia. We enjoyed our jazz night by listening to talented Maci Miller and Webb T’s Superband!

Nice atmosphere, great music, and the staff were very nice! Couple things, get rid of the Pilar in the middle of the room, it kills the view of the stage. Especially when you charge $25 for the high table seats. Also, more food options. The menu online was not even close to what I was showed in-house. Updating the website to match what you serve would be helpful.
