Our server, Mackenzie, was wonderful. She was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was great-my husband and I both got the small plate of shrimp scampi and it was better than our Italian grandmothers used to make. The desserts were out of this world as well. Thanks for a fantastic experience!! We will be back.
I was in my glory- they had a fabulous Gruner Veltliner that also was a happy our special (reasonable still if it wasn't HH), Zweigelt and a lovely Reisling from the Mosel. All at the appropriate temperature! Our bartender made the day. Fun, personable and very accommodating! Oysters withe the orange ponzu was a nice touch! Who woulda thought? Hamburger and fries were delish! Well worth the calories. Great place to stop at if your in the area. Oh and for you non- wine drinkers, my boyfriend thought the beer selection was great!
I am in the restaurant business and a bit of a food snob but everything I had was superb. Mushroom soup,the best and tuna tartare was very nice . Attentive wait staff

My wife wanted some brick over pizza, i tried the chopped cobb salad. We left the drink selection to the waiter, great service nice friendly attitude didnt bother us too much but made sure we were ok..

We were there having a late lunch with our friends from Manayunk. It was our first time eating at Jakes & Cooper's. I tried Liver Pate' my first time ever and It was delicious š¤¤!!! A great place to try it your 1st time! The raspberry jelly with it to top it off was just perfect! I also had a Mixed greens salad W/ grilled shrimp that was very good! Everything everyone else had they all really enjoyed! I definitely will go back to eat at Jake's!
Cool wine store/bar with plenty of options if you're looking for a drink. The two glasses of wine we tried were for sure tasty. I can't speak to the food as we didn't try any, but the options were appealing.
Finally got to sit near the large open window in the front. This place has been on my bucket list since I moved to the area. My fiance and I experienced great service, great cocktails, and great food. This is more upscale than most of the restaurants on Main St if not all of them. Very pleased! I recommend the short rib pizza if you end up ordering one.
Great atmosphere. Our service was absolutely wonderful! Great drinks and salad. The pizzas looked delicious but unfortunately weren't to our liking. Very oily, messy and fell off crust. (No one should eat pizza with a fork!š) I'm guessing it was the cheese we didn't like. I'm sure others like it. We'll definitely be back.
I loved everything about my dining experience at Jakeās. We sat outside and it was a beautiful night and perfect spot to people watch but what really made the experience so great was our server Brittney. She made all the recommendations -at our request and she was right! We had the cheese board and added the meat, calves liver, skirt steak, sweet potato fries and the petite Syrah wine flight. You can also purchase any bottle of wine in the āstoreā and pay a cork charge of $20 and enjoy the bottle while you dine-genius! The inside dining is lit well and has beautiful art work displayed throughout. Make a reservation and ask for Brittneyā¦ she will do the rest. Then, go right next door to the Chubby Robot for ice cream.
My son and I bike from Conshy to Manayunk and then always grab an early dinner outdoors here before heading back. Each time, we have had a very nice experience. His gnocchi were tasty and fluffy but not mushy, perfectly cooked. I loved the watermelon salad .. fresh, light and simple but with an interesting kick. We shared the marinated olive app which was surprisingly plenty enough for two and delicious. Our server, Desiree, was excellent and super nice. She recommended the seasonal margarita, which was amazing (made with caramelized pineapple puree ... I mean, yes. All day!) Thanks all for a wonderful experience.
New Yearās Eve dinner with friendās. Kerri behind the bar makes the best drinks. Manhattanās and other assorted special cocktails. Great wine list as well. Food was amazing. Spicy meatball pizza was delicious.
This place has consistently good affordable food if you're looking for a date night that is romantic that won't break the bank. Very interesting wine selection and deals on bottles!
The fact you can buy a really good bottle of wine for less than $50 makes it my new favorite place in Manayunk. We had the tuna tartar which was really nice, an amazing pizza, and an oversized dessert. We will definitely be back. Specifically for the wine and pizza!
Brunch with my kids. Breakfast burger kicked it! Piled high with fresh egg, bacon - it was fantastic. Kids had pizza and french toast. Every plate clean. Gotta say I was quite impressed. Great service. And be sure to try the Kentucky Mule.
Great happy hour. Our waitress was amazing. We had a very large party and she was able to keep up with everyone's drinks and was super nice.
I have come here several times for their wine tastings and finally decided to dine here as well. The food is great and the service is excellent. A true neighborhood gem.
