I have one word when you're looking for breakfast or lunch in Fairmount- TELA'S!!  Everything is sooooo fresh and it's all from local PA farms.  My roommates and I order breakfast from there almost every Saturday and Sunday.  You can't go wrong with the bacon, egg, and cheese- thick applewood smoked bacon, with farm fresh cheese and eggs.  Their pancakes are delicious as well and they have a nice selection of produce and other grocery items.  Go Tela's!

I came to Tela's for a quick lunch last weekend.  I had the veggie omlet and side salad, and my boyfriend had the egg sandwich with home fries.  Both were delicious!  After we ate, I looked around the market side, and found a few things I'd like to try, namely a brand of cookie dough that's tagline was, "Eat it, Don't bake it!"

Tela’s has a great menu with a variety of pizzas and pastas! They also have an amazing happy hour deal with runs everyday even Saturday’s which is awesome. They pizzas are a good value for size and price and they sell wine to go which is a great. I’ve been here over 6 times and have been happy with the food and service each time. Highly recommend. ALSO they have the best fries!!

Tela’s is a great local spot in Fairmount, had brunch as our first experience; entrees were very tasty (pictured is the scrambled with prosciutto and pesto) and *highly* recommend their dirty chai espresso martini. The interior is decorated with cute farmhouse vibes, and I would have enjoyed my experience more but the music was blaring, it was quite loud and almost felt like we were at a noisy sports bar that I could barely hear my friends conversation across the table; I think there was also one waitress for the entire place and felt very badly she was doing so much work but the service was a bit slow. I would be willing to come back and try this spot again since their menu has great options!

Overall: Great place and good food. Ambience is chill and relaxed. I went for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. For breakfast, you go in and place your order at the counter and they give you a number to bring to your table of choice. You grab your own utensils and you clear off table yourself. I like this take since it’s super efficient. I think for brunch and dinner you get served as you would normally (not entirely sure)? Good menus and variety. Food came out great! Overall, super chill place. Would go back and highly recommend. Price: $-$$ Service: friendly staff!

The food, ambiance and location are amazing. The coffee tho from my experience is not great. It definitely looked so cute (latte art on point) but that’s it, when you taste it…it’s disappointing. Everything else, is great!

We went for a Sunday brunch. Great food!! The turkey bacon was delicious and cooked to perfection! They were the star for both dishes. Very friendly staff. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. We would definitely visit again. And would recommend a 100% to everyone.

This is just a preliminary review as I plan on stopping here multiple times to write a comprehensive review. I've been wanting to stop in here since we moved to Philadelphia four months ago. I went here for one of their made fresh everything bagels. I walked in and up to the counter. There were not any menus posted around to look at, but they did have paper copies on the counter. I ordered my bagel and grabbed a seat, taking in the lovely feel of the restaurant. My bagel arrived after a short wait and I dug in. The bagel was chewy and flavorful, while the cream cheese did exactly what it does best. They have a great selection of take home dinners, wine, beer and charcuterie needs. I am excited to try some of these as well as their dinner offerings in the future.

Definitely on the pricier side for breakfast, although the lunch sandwiches are reasonably priced. I asked for a side order of French fries with my breakfast sandwich and instead of giving me a separate plate with them, they instead put a small portion of fries on my plate and did not give me the home fries that were supposed to come with my meal. As my breakfast sandwich was $13 and included home fries, it was frustrating they charged me an extra $5 for the French fries. The servers were fairly attentive. It gets very busy here. The coffee drinks are expensive.

A great stop for lunch, happy hour, or bottle of wine. I love their grilled avocado salad (topped with chicken). A little pricey, but I guess that’s par for the course thanks for inflation. Coffee to-go!

A place with a very chilled and romantic ambience. The staff were super friendly and the coffee and apple cake I had were very good. Highly recommended after a visit to the nearby Eastern State Penitentiary.

I loved the atmosphere here! The food was good. Large portions. The cookies and brownie were delicious.

The lunch is much better than the brunch. Last time I went for brunch, my food was somewhat bland and they don't really know how to make espresso. But I love the lunch menu here and primarily come here for that.

The food and drinks were delicious! We waited 20 minutes for someone to bring us water and take drink orders which wasn't ideal. If the service improved it would be a 5 star experience

During the noreaster of 2022, my partner and I embarked on a journey for sustenance to quiet the stomach grumblings. With our furry companion (service animal) in tow, we stumbled upon Telas. Upon entering, we were promptly greeted and seated. With the menu in hand, my eyes quickly zoomed on one item, buttermilk pancakes. The waitress assured me they were some of the best and fluffiest pancakes. With a bit of skepticism on my mind, I immediately said yes! I needed these cakes of pan post haste. Minutes had passed, and in front of me, a savory plate was placed before me. I squealed with delight at the sight of pancakes and mixed berries. It looked delicious, but did it taste delicious? It was a resounding yes! These were pancakes of the gods! Zeus and Hades would share a plate. A bit moist in the middle, a bit crispy on the edges, and all the satisfying with every bite. Two days have passed, and this moment is still with me.
