My first time trying Ethiopian food and I’m glad I tried here! The lady behind the counter was super nice and recommended the best smoothie (fantasy island) I have had in a long while. Everything we got came quick, fresh, and delicious. In addition, this place is very vegan/vegetarian friendly, and
I ordered online for pickup and got what is just called “Tibs” on the menu (not any of the special ones with another descriptor; note it is beef). I went with the spicy version and it was INCREDIBLE. It was spicy but not overly spicy, very juicy, and everything had so much flavor! It came with cabba
I love this place! Very family oriented the service is amazing and staff are very friendly, you can dine in or order take out the wait isn't long. Welcome to share experiences Ethiopia culture Kaffa Crossing Ethiopia restaurant, bar & coffee. Kaffa always awesome and great.!!
We came for lunch and there was no line or wait when we arrived.
We ordered the Yebeg Tibs, spicy regular Tibs, and Shiro Wot. It came on a bed of injera (Ethiopian flatbread) with extra on the side. It also came with yellow split peas, spiced split lentils, collard greens, and carrot with salad.
Excellent experience! Located in a less than desirable part of town but the food did not let us down at all! Everything was high quality and tasty. While some food may seem bland at times, you can simply salt to taste. Many spicy options are available. Great smoothies also! Menu is online, just scan
I have been to a good amount of Ethiopian restaurants because of my love for the food, especially the injera (fermented bread) that it is served upon. I decided to come here for my birthday awhile back and was absolutely amazed by the deliciousness of the food here. It was all so flavorful and capti
One of the best Ethiopian for I've ever had. Period. From the moment I entered the place, I was instantly transported to Ethiopia. The vibes were lovely. There were quite a few vegetarian and vegan food choices. We ordered the Sambusa for starters and then moved on to the veggie platter with eggplan
This is a Halal Ethiopian spot. It's not the best Ethiopian I have had, but it's still good and it's nice that it is halal. Great service and clean space with Ethiopian goods for sale in the back.
This is a cozy little restaurant on Chestnut Street in University City. The hostess was exceptionally kind and accommodating to us. The food deserves 4.5 stars. The atmosphere and service gets 5 stars from me. We had Doro Wot, Veggie Combo for entrees. We also got a small smoothie and an Ethiopian b
Best Ethiopian restaurant around. My family loves this place and could eat here every day. The vegetarian platter and doro tibs are delicious. The smoothies are great! Highly recommended.
First time tried Ethiopian food for our six month anniversary. It was pretty good and kinda close to Indian food but less spicy.
We ordered three meat options: Doro wot, Kaffa Tibs, Yebeg Tibs. It's perfect amount for three people. My fav was Kaffa and second fav being Yebeg. Doro wot was alright.
Looks awesome, good quantity, I liked the taste also but I don’t know why even before eating half of the dish, I was feeling so full. I think I will visit this place again, I will update after trying couple of other dishes as well 👍
Was a nice mid week dinner. Food was great. The place was empty other than 3 people in the bar. Table was a bit dirty when we sat, server cleaned it. We got an appetizer and two main courses all were very good.
Great food and service! We had the Doro Wat and the Quanta fir fir. Both were delicious. My wife and I are definitely coming back!
I've always loved it here - I'm usually here studying or working but they are always welcoming & the food is consistent - smoothies & lattes are fantastic as well
Excellent meal, highly recommend it if you like African or are curious about giving it a try.
The Kitfo (minced beef with some heat, ordered rare), Doro Wat (chicken in a thick, heavily spiced, curry-ish sauce), and vegetarian sampler were more than enough to pleasantly fill up a party of three wit
Solid, unassuming Ethiopian restaurant and bar in a neighborhood with many of them, each one better than the last. Make sure not to fill up on injera or you will have no room for the wots and tibs!
