What an inviting and cool bar. My boyfriend & I loved the staff, music and the exceptional food. The best brussel sprouts I have ever had. It was incredibly busy but they opened up the upstairs early to accommodate all of us quickly. Ryan you were outstanding. You took care of everyone quickly and efficiently. You were very helpful with the menu and so kind. We will absolutely be back. Thank you for a wonderful Sunday!

Enjoyed with family and friend. Live music great drinks and snacks. A party bus stopped in celebrating someone's half century birthday. Very friendly group on its way down South St hitting each pub on the way. Great bartender named August. Definitely would recommend upstairs bar much more intimate!

MilkBoy South Street has let us turn the upstairs into a Virginia Tech bar for football games. The atmosphere is awesome, I love the rotating draft list and the specials they've gone out of their way to provide. Thank you MilkBoy!

The fact that you can grab a few beers and they actually send someone over to Jim’s to get a cheesesteak for you is amazing. Skip the line and check out this spot.

Absolutely love this bar. All the hosts and bartenders are super nice. The food is AMAZING. It's my go-to bar for sports and food. Oh and if you order the El hefe you get a shot and a beer. So they have awesome deals too :)

You can order Jim's Cheesesteaks here and avoid the long lines. Came here for lunch while visiting South Street in Philadelphia. I initially thought about going to Jim's across the street. However, after seeing the line down the street and the limited indoor seating, decided to come to Milkboy, especially since you can order a Jim's Cheesesteak from Milkboy. It was early in the afternoon, so there was plenty of seating. Came to the upstairs bar area and was immediately greeted by the bartender. She was exceptionally friendly and helpful. She genuinely wanted to know how I enjoyed the cocktails she made. Ordered a few cocktails, Fried Brussels Sprouts, Chicken Cheesesteak, and Jim's South St. Brussels Sprouts arrived within 7 minutes and the Cheesesteaks within 15 minutes, which was much faster than waiting in the line at Jim's. Surprisingly, I actually liked the Chicken Cheesesteak more than the Jim's Cheesesteak. It was juicier and more flavorful. The Jim's was really good, but I preferred the Chicken Cheesesteak. The Brussels Sprouts were very crispy and had a nice char to them. Overall, I'm glad I came her to MIlkboy as it allowed me to order their Chicken Cheesesteak and also Jim's Cheesesteak from across the street. It wasn't crowded, food and drinks were delicious, and great customer service.

While it's a small space, it's a more than decent bar and kitchen. The service is great, the drinks selection is solid, and the food is probably better than you'd find at most South St locations. It was peculiar that the cheese curds were breaded and fried; however, they were still tasty. The chicken nachos came loaded, which was a pleasant surprise. Definitely a great spot to have a drink, chill with friends, and people watch.

Good spot if you want Jim’a cheesesteaks but want to sit down and have a drink, too. The fried brussels sprouts were nice and crispy! The cheesesteaks were solid and so were the waffle fries. I also loved the hard cider! There are a few seats on the main level and the upstairs is a bar (and also where the bathrooms are)

Loved it! Saturday afternoon bartender and server were great, fun and I was happy to be there. I never stopped here before bc I thought it might be kinda touristy but it's amazing. Can't wait to go back. PS don't forget to switch to Hale and True cider :)

Love the hangover burger; it's my favorite burger in the city. I really like this place, and come here often. I think the only downside is that they don't take reservations, so you kind of have to just show up and see what happens.

Good selection of drinks and food to include everyone-this cozy but somehow spacious location is popping in an area already full of excitement. Great spot for after-show drinks or just as you are passing through South Street.

Tried them twice. Once during happy hour. The bill came out to be around 60 with tip for 5 people three drinks each and a plate of nachos. Pretty affordable. Also they have good tap beer. Another must try is cranberry vodka.

The chicken Philly was straight 🔥. I’ll be 100% honest with you that I’m not from Philly, and I originally intended to go to Jim’s across the street like a typical tourist but showed up with no cash or debit card and decided to give this place a shot instead. I’m glad I did. The bartender made a legit old fashioned and Jesus was the sandwich delicious. The aioli added a nice heat to it. I’m glad I came here instead. No regrets.

The band - Stealing Society - was amazing!!! The service wasn't totally nice though and the audio guy wasn't the best, but overall had a good time

This was our first time in town and someone recommended Jims for a Philly cheese stake but we saw this place right across the street and they had happy hour, the bartender was amazing and what’s even better was we still were able to get the sandwiches from Jims. Their IPA’s were extremely cold as it should be and their Roast Pork Nachos delicious. Lots of drinks to choose from, second floor bar available and their restrooms were impeccable and clean. We recommend this place 👍🏼 For more tips on other restaurants and bars check out our YouTube channel Aventuras con los Paiz IG @ISAACPAIZ @AVENTURASCONLOSPAIZ

I love this place! they've got a new brunch menu that rocks. I've had the breakfast sandwich, hangover burger, and the breakfast; all were great! I love that it's a Baltimore Ravens bar too! ask for Maxx, he's great!

MilkBoy has a unique relationship with Jim's Steaks across the street, that I took advantage of three times during visits to Philadelphia. You can sit in their outside booths and order a cheesesteak from Jim's through them to skip the line. When you order through MB it jumps to the top of the order queue, so you get it faster. That was a nice feature one day when the line at Jim's wrapped around the outside of the shop. Besides that, MB is in a great location on an iconic Philadelphia street - South Street. On all occasions the servers were friendly and helpful. I also appreciated their on-hand availability of Pennsylvania's finest and oldest brew - Yuengling.
