I overheard a woman telling others on Sansom Street that the food here was excellent so I decided to stop in and give it a try. Needless to say that I am so disappointed that I have never been here before. The food was absolutely to die for!!! I had the savory chicken with tomato, mushroom and pesto sauce. Everything here is fresh and/or homemade. Nothing is canned or processed.
On my second visit, I took my son. Once again, I tried a savory crepe and he had a dessert crepe. Both were delicious. I have been spreading the word about how good the food and service are. I am definitely going back. Maria you can not get rid of me!!! I love the food.
I struggle with how to rate the food. The savory crepes I ordered were overcooked (crispy, black). Based on these alone, I would rate them as poor. However, the sweet banana flambe crepe I ordered was to die for. So, I settle on "good." The service was exactly what I would expect from a French cafe. But there should be more consistency in the food.
I have dined here 3 times, and have had a good dining experience all of the time. The food is deliciously seasoned, and very tasty, the appetizer smoked salmon salad with the apples and walnuts were a meal in itself, my partner and I shared this and we were stuffed by the time our brunch entree came. Friendly wait staff, knowledgeable about the menu, and the food is just as unique and delectable as described on the menu, I will be back because I would love to try everything,
You know I had To do it to em

My wife and I were on our way to the Müter Museum in Philly when we drove past this place(if it wasn't for my GPS, we wouldn't have even driven on that street). It was perfect timing that caused me to glance and catch the sign...so we decided to give it a shot. Its small, but once you walk in and start eating, it doesn't matter. We were both crepe virgins, so it was an entirely new experience for us both. For our maiden crepes, I had a banana and sugar dessert crepe, and she had the (amazingly epic) banana, peanut butter, nutella dessert crepe. It was a complete home run. I have since brought my parents, my sister and her husband, my wife's cousin and her boyfriend to La Creperie and they're all floored on the quality and taste of the crepes there. The service could be a bit better, I'll have to admit, but I put up with it just to get myself into a crepe. On my last visit (about a week ago), we both had our first savory crepes. She had the Bolgenese (i know i'm misspelling it terribly...sorry lol) and I had a pizza crepe. Another homer. I would definately recommend this place to anyone looking to get away and hide in an inconspicuous corner the French Quarter of Philadelphia :)
Attached was my dessert crepe from my last visit: La Finalé
These are absolutely the best crepes in the world. They are very authentic and the flavoring of each crepe is fantastic. I have tried every one on the menu and each one is better then the next.
The best crepes I ever had and I've been to Paris. We had both dinner and dessert crepes, and everything was amazing—perfectly crispy. Highly recommended!
This place is to die for! After tasting crepe from another place that was atrocious. So glad i walked in this place it's cute and authentic, good service. And the crepes are unforgettable
The best crepes in Philadelphia nestled in the French Quarter, (what you didn't know Philly had one?). Don't take my word for it... Go! See for yourself
