We love Mama Marias, true authentic Italian food and hospitality that is unheard of today. This place is a hidden gem...everything we've ever eaten from here was amazing!!!
Had a wonderful birthday dinner at Mamma Maria's yesterday. Just wish she'd made the gnocci for that amazing gorgonzola alfredo sauce... the ziti were a delight in it, but I'm guessing her "little puff cloud" gnocci would have been so much better. pork medallions with portabella marsala was wonderful too. always a delight to eat here.
This place is absolutely amazing ❤️ It reminds me of going to my Nans house for dinners . Everything from the appetizer to the pasta dish, all the way through the cello after dinner, could not be more perfect . Word of advise, go hungry 😋.
The hospitality and food are amazing. The wine is the best wine as if its straight from the wine press.

Wonderful Easter dinner at one of my favorites! Beautiful antipasto, insulate, flounder with crab, limoncello cake, cappuccino, and after dinner cordials, sambuco limoncello and. Plenty of red wine. So wonderful and delicious!!! Thank you...A wonderful holiday meal!
Great food, I would recommend this place.
Went with friends and we all enjoyed the food drinks and server was amazing
Great atmosphere, food was home style Italian cooking and we will be back. You can BYOB or enjoy there house wine which was ok. Food and service ... Fantastic!
My husband and I went to dinner tonight for my 15th Anniversary and it was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted and seated within 2 minutes. The service was excellent and food...exceptional!! Mamma Maria stopped by our table to welcome us and check on our food and service, she couldn't have been nicer! My only complaint is against myself for not getting our waiters name because he was the best!! We hadn't even paid and I was already plan our next visit!! Can't wait to go back!
From start to finish everything was phenomenal, would strongly recommend Mamma Maria to anyone looking to dine out in the city!!!
Great overall experience. Our waiter was attentive while also giving us time in between courses to just relax and enjoy our meals. The restaurant is small where you can have an intimate dinner with a loved one but still make friends/enjoy a conversation with fellow diners. The food is delicious and the wine is great. Cannot wait to go back. Thank you for an exceptional time.
This was the first time we were at this restaurant. We went on New Year's Eve and the menu was a fixed menu. The place is so nice, relaxing and comfortable and the food and service very good. Our dinner started with Italian cheeses and meats, pasta with the most flavorful meatballs, lentil soup, surf and turf and a delicious, homemade Italian cream cake. There was also complimentary carafes of wine and after dinner cordials. We could not have asked for a nicer dinner. I felt like family. Thank you, Mamma Maria for a very memorable time!
Some of the best (if not the best) Italian food in Philly. Mama is extremely sweet and makes everything herself from scratch. The prices are very reasonable, and your meal will always exceed expectations. If you haven’t eaten her food yet, you absolutely are missing out.
My family and I had a wonder dinner here at Mama Marias! We had the fix price menu which came with antipasto, soup or salad , 3 different pasta , and your choice of protein and a dessert! Everything from start to finish was delicious 😋. My family and I even received personal service from Mama Maria herself! She was so welcoming , and explained all of our courses very throughly ! I would definitely recommend trying this delicious authentic Italian restaurant yourself! We will be back.
Loved everything about this place. Service was great as soon as you walk in the door. I know it's cliche to say they treat you like family but they truly do. Everything we ate was so good. We met the chef and they give everyone their homemade limoncello after dinner. Just left and I can't wait to go back.
Just got takeout from here and it was amazing! The prices are reasonable, the food is homemade and delicious! Mama Maria makes everything herself and she’s the sweetest lady. I went here pre-Covid for the 5 course meal and that was also delicious. This place is the most underrated restaurant in Philly.
Came with my cousin and we didn't really know what to expect when we bought a groupon for two. Came with wine, bread, antipasto, soup or salad, (gnocchi which she surprised us with even though it wasn't part of it), a main entree, a blueberry limoncello shot, and a dessert. Everything was decided for us except the soup or salad and the choice of the entree. The overall experience was pleasant and the server was really nice. I was pretty sick and had a sore throat and luckily we were the only two there. We arrived when they just opened for the day haha. It was my first time there and I loved it. :)
I was there tonight eating dinner across from this table that just commented below. They were very disruptive and are liars! We herd the waitress say she would take off the Groupon and also the other guest were so embarrassed they left with out them! Food was amazing! They fought with a 71 year old women over five dollars maybe they should have gone to apple bees
Amazing amazing AMAZING!!!! I have recently gone for Thanksgiving 7 course meal and Christmas Eve seven fishes and both times and every time prior to that the food and the service have been outstanding. This is an authentic Italian restaurant with amazing food and an amazing experience.
Mamma Maria and the family were wonderful during our recent party. We celebrated a 70th birthday party with friends and family. The food was excellent, drinks plentiful and staff attentive and friendly. A great place to celebrate and mange!
Wow I am really surprised at some of the reviews listed below saying that the food and experience wasn't good. Every time that I've been there over the years I've had a great meal that isn't rushed like some restaurants, all the staff and servers are professional and welcoming and they give you cordials at the end of your meal. The only negative I would give is that it is a little expensive. This is the type of place you go for special occasions, not everyday.
WOW! My girlfriend and I had been trying to rekindle our relationship. We wanted to eat good food in a cozy atmosphere and not pay outta the you know what for it. This place was just what we needed! It was so cool as Mama came out to thank us for coming. I will Definitely go back! OMG, the Blueberry limoncello, outta this world!
