Liang pi is highly recommended!!! Xī’ān cuisine is different from the usual Chinese fare. Not Cantonese or Hunan or Szechuan. If you want something different yet not hyper exotic, try this place. My group of 6 all loved the food.
Food is always great!!!! One of my favorite place to eat at in China town

Best food in the city. Great staff. Love love love this place. All the food is amazing
Not only is the food good but I was stranded downtown. When a very nice customer gave me the number for a cab but my phone was dead and they let me use the phone!! Very friendly place thanks again!!
good authentic chinese place! we got the liang pi, chinese hamburger, and a lamb dish (forgot the name oops). they were all yummy! do note that the chinese hamburger’s bun is not fluffy, but it’s still good though.
Food was delicious, light and not too greasy! We got the Xian liangpi, Chinese hamburger with braised pork, and Shanghai bokchoy with edamame. Very reasonably priced. The restaurant’s exterior doesn’t look very good but the inside is very clean and attractive.
The restaurant was very clean and the service was friendly and fast. We got the spicy beef noodle soup, dumplings in chili sauce, and Xi’an Liang Pi because of our server’s recommendation. Everything was delicious, boldly flavored, and fresh.
Had the Jumbo Shrimp and veggies. The vegetables were perfectly cooked with the right amount of crunch. The shrimp was not overcooked with just the right amount of firmness and the sauce was absolutely outstanding. Compliments to the chef. And Mickey, the waitress is superb! And very pretty too.
Dined here on Chinese New Year Eve. The place was almost empty, so got full attention of the owner who was very friendly. Place was clean. We got chicken noodle soup which was authentic. It was okay. Dumpling in chilli oil was fantastic so was the scallion cake. Inflation induced pricing will bite you. Overal good experience.
I loved this place me and my family came here and all the food was delicious😋. The staff were very nice and kind and the service was great me and my family will definitely come back here again.
It was good food! But a little more expensive than I expected! We had the 肉馍,羊肉泡馍,凉皮,羊肉串。 they were all good. But after tip and tax, it was $55! Little expensive...
Not a fancy sit-down place but the food is rich in flavour and quality. Service is friendly and not over-bearing, plenty of options for tastes/preferences of all kinds. Worth checking when you are out on a walking tour of old town.
Biang Biang Noodles with Ginger Scallion Sauce. I've ordered that here like too many times, by far one of my favorite comfort foods in Philly. Hefty portion size too
I loved this place! I went there with a friend, who is actually Chinese, she said the preparation style is very authentic, which I could feel by the fact it differs a lot from what you get at a number of 'Chinese' places which in fact offer adopted and revised dishes. Most of guests were asian too. That aside, I was hit by the nessesity to choose, because the menu was abundant with attractive dishes and I wanted to try it all. It had plenty of vegetarian options, some pretty helthy choices. The amounts were generous enough, but not like horse-size, and the prices were very modest. I will definitely return.
Food is pretty good; I've been back twice. Can't beat the price either. Also they are accommodating to vegetarians!
After torturing myself with memories of getting authentic Xian cuisine while living and working around Asia, I simply had to find a place to get this style of food and not worry that they were going easy on the spice.
This place is it! I highly suggest the Dan Dan noodles and the Chinese cumin hamburgers. All the dishes pack a Szechuan punch and the place envelops you in the rich smell of cumin and other earthy, herby scents the minute you walk in.
$15 minimum on cards. The ladies serving are super nice. Hot chilli oil and Chinese vinegar on every table. Not a bad place to stop in for a bite if you happen to be in Philly Chinatown.
I had a great time here, the staff was very helpful and happy. The food was amazing I had 3 items and was very impressed. They even tell you a bit of history of some of the menu items and how they prepare them. Not much wait time for food and waiter check on me in a good timely manner. The only reason I was not completely happy was that there did not have a couple items from the menu and I was not notified of this before.
Everything else was outstanding.
Better than Xi'an famous food. I actually came from NYC to Philly for it. Liang Li is better. Food is nice and not expensive at all.
Not bad! Got the dumplings in chili oil. This is one of my favorite dishes. I know it as a very simple such: dumplings + chili oil. What I got here had a sauce that was mostly a sesame-soy mixture, with some chili oil mixed in. I do like this combination, and it was good, but I kind of wish I'd known that's what I was getting; the flavor is quite a bit different. Maybe a translation problem? Good, either way.
I've been to Xi'am sizzling wok's a number of times. The food has always been delicious and can be made mild if that's your thing. The service is quite nice compared to other restaurants in Chinatown. They also have more Americanized Chinese food for those who aren't interested in more authentic dishes.
Highly recommend the burgers, the Xi'an liang pi and the biang biang noodles.
Had the Chinese hamburger, bbq skewers, and fish and pickeld cabbage, and I can say that everything was delicious. Service was excellent.
