2nd time here as of today! Checking out a local band called The Revolving Doors that play here from time to time. Great place, tasty food and drinks. Wonderful atmosphere for the family! The staff is very friendly, the area in general is beautiful, hiking trails, running, walking, biking, etc. If you haven't been here before, I highly recommend you check this place out! A+++ Place!

The staff were amazing!! So very friendly, helpful & caring! They made us feel very welcome. Loved the handmade fruit smoothie with spinach! Their sandwiches and cookies are the best! I would certainly recommend this facility to my friends and family!

Jenny and her staff do a most amazing job preparing, baking, cooking for all the patrons in the park. This has to be the best thing that ever happened to the Wissahickon. I especially love Jenny's homemade, gluten free blueberry-almond muffins. Delish as everything else is. Jenny and her staff are incredibly friendly, accommodating, and take much care in preparing your food. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!

I like the veggie burger which is home made and the coffee is wonderful. Great place to stop in as you finish your Wissihickon Park hike along Forbidden Drive and Northwestern Ave.

Fairmount Park Conservancy took a risk that paid off when they leased this Park property to someone who had a vision and has succeeded in creating place for Philadelphians and everyone else who wonders near,to more deeply enjoy the richness and fullness of the park experience... a great example of fulfilling a dream

As a Trail Ambassador for Friends of the Wissahickon, the stewards of the park, it is always a pleasure to hang at Cedars House for great food and coffee, and to kindle friendships new and old.

Sweet place. Great band, "Gravel Road," was playing outside under the trees. They were fantastic. Coffee was hot, the smoothie my friend had was described as wonderful. I look forward to going back sometime.

I have come here a few times either after or between some walks along the Wissahickon. I appreciate the fact that there's a cute cafe at one end of the park. The food has always been good and the service is fantastic! The coffee is okay, it changed day to day so you might go on a good day or you might go on a bad one! There are a lot of tables outside available for patron use. Overall, I think this is a unique and fun cafe!

Absolutely one of my favorite places for breakfast. Egg and cheese croissant had the perfect mix of cheesiness and egg, the croissant was also very well textured. Great location in the forest, only issue is that it's pretty difficult to get to for anything other than bike, making it more one of those places you go to if hiking, not if you're just getting breakfast or lunch.

Amazing breakfast sandwich but, more importantly, it’s nestled in the woods at the entrance of Forbidden Dr. Squirrels, chipmunks, and birds are gathered around thrown peanuts and feeders around the cafe. There are indoor and outdoor seats, some on a hill hidden behind the cafe. It is a near perfect aesthetic. Also, they serve la colombe coffee and ice cream.

We loved our experience there this morning. We had a delicious breakfast sandwich and a piece of the spinach quiche and they didn’t disappoint. We also had the Apple Cider and Hot Chocolate. Very very happy with everything.

Loved the bagels. Long line, but can see why. Great place to sit under the trees and people watch. Lots of healthy people around.

This is one of my new favorite hangouts while living in Philly. Perfect place to end a mountain bike ride or trail run. Bagel with Lox... Awesome!

They're open but not able to have any indoor dining yet, due to Pandemic response restrictions. Plenty of well spaced outdoor tables and chairs, I had a great sandwich.

Having always driven past the trail and never having walked it before I didn't know about this jewel of a spot to eat. My coworker took us there for a short bonding time. I was very surprised. There is outdoor seating and the seating inside is comfortable and varied. It has a rustic/coffee house look without the coffee house feel. When visiting places like this in the past I have been able to get expensive food that was small in the portions and tasted okay. Those places seemed to try and impress you with the ambiance. That was not the case here. I was able to get a bagel sandwich with good toppings and a drink for under $10. It was also very filling. The building was air conditioned but not so much where you felt like you were walking out of a fridge to an oven. The service was great and they were friendly as well. I will make it a point to go back in the future.

We happened to come across this place while out running errands and trying to find a coffee shop that was open. I had a rough idea of the location so we gave it a shot. Cute little place located just inside Wissahickon Park. Decent sized menu, good prices, La Colombe coffee, and super-friendly staff. Close enough we'll be coming back.

We had know idea what to do in P.A, found this not far off a hike and it was great. The food, staff I would definitely go back. We got the quiche and kids turkey sandwich, which were so good and big portions also great dark roast coffee! I didn't bring my stroller but it would have been ok to since we stayed on that one trail.

I try to make it to The Cedars House once a week. The food here is always on point along with the service. Not only that, but it's also consistent. You can tell that the staff have a passion for what they are doing. After I'm finished, it's nice to go for a short hike in the woods to burn off some of those delicious calories.

The Cedars House is The Best. Their chocolate chip cookies are amazing. If you’re lucky you’ll arrive right after a fresh batch just came out of the oven. And today was a special treat. Though we showed up shortly after closing (early bc of Easter,) we were offered scrumptious mini carrot cakes. It was so generous (thank you!) and delicious. It’s also an amazing place to feel ensconced in the woods and under towering trees and to hear and watch all the sweet birds singing, eating, and flying about. Will be back soon!

A quaint cafe to relax before or after a nice adventure in the Wissahickon Valley of Philadelphia. They offer a variety of beverages, baked goods, and prepackaged snacks. Good food and drinks over all! The staff is friendly. For those interested in dining outdoors, they sometimes have live music. Their entrance does requiring climbing a small set of stairs. You can also rent their space for private events. They are really easy to work with.
