This could have been a lot better. Having the best hoagie in the free world I hoagie up'd my cheesesteak with peppers. I like the price. The meat on my cheesesteak was dry. It needed more cheese. it was oily. I got a hoagie. I liked it. Quality over amount.
Best cheesesteak I’ve had in a long time. Better than all those big-name cheesesteak places. First time here, was meeting a colleague off of 95. I googled best cheesesteak near Tacony, Palmyra Bridge, and found Jacks. Friendly staff, large half on fresh bread with plenty of tasty meat. Fries were spices with little old bay type seasoning. Everything was served hot and tasty, at a reasonable price. $15 for Steak, fries, and water bottle. No indoor dining, but they have an outside picnic table. Will definitely go back.
Best Hoagies in the world. I lived in Philly and that was my spot. I live in Maryland now. And Jack's is STILL my spot. Ya gotta take a ride sometime to get to the greatness.
Stopped by in the late afternoon for an early dinner and ordered an Italian. The order was ready for pickup when I arrived 15 mins later. Service was friendly and without fuss. The storefront is unpretentious and what you would expect of a neighborhood deli. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hoagie was served on a seeded roll (other places charge a premium for such requests). The small hoagie was flavorful and satisfying. Slices of meat blanketed with Romain, red onions, and accented withwhat seems to be an olive feta cheese spread (nice touch). Definitely will be coming back soon to try out the more premium selections. Small Original Italian, large bag of Herrs, can of Pepsi $10.
Just ate a Chicken Cheesesteak from Jack's I must say without any exaggeration the chicken alone was soft & fresh, & ultimately the whole sandwich was a mouth watering treat!!!!! 😋 Ray from Water dept Lardner's point....
Bought a cheese steak sandwich also bag of chips and cold Pepsi was very tasteful and absolutely clean area I will recommend this to family and friends I will return for there famous hoagies 😊👌👍👍👍👍☝️
Old Country with Longhots is my favorite but every thing I’ve tried is great definitely the best in the area.
I had there Cheese steak it was the best I've had in a long time I can't wait to try the rest of there menu good good
Jack's hoagies taste INFINITELY better than Fink's or almost anyone else's. Their deli meat, cheese, spread, and other ingredients are top notch. Their Original Italian is DELICIOUS but some of their other hoagies are also tasty, as are their cheesesteaks, sausage sandwiches, fries, and just about everything else. The joint is very clean and the staff is quick, polite, and efficient. Despite their obvious superiority, Jack's prices are highly competitive. Why settle for a Hyundai when you can have a Rolls-Royce for the same price?

Fourth time at this place. Hidden gem! First time the hoagie was so good I took one on a trip to California to soothe the craving of an old Philly friend who now lives in Palm Springs.
Chopping down on their cheesesteak as I type. Very good! I expected a seeded bun from previous review which I did not get but in the future will request. Cheesesteak, light onions w cooper sharp 👏🏽
Their hoagies did come w seeded roll. Can’t wait to try more on their menu. Super nice staff too.
All I have to say is yummmm. The spread on the Italian Hoagie is *chef’s kiss*.

This has always been a small neighbor secret, but as the neighborhood people told others about this gem, it grew in popularity and has become a fairly well know spot for a great sandwich, whether cold or hot.
I try not to eat out too often, but when I think of a Jack's Italian hogie or chicken parm sandwich, I often give into the urge for one of those great sandwiches.
Highly recommend this place for a personal lunch or food for a party.
