Really friendly staff and tasty treats. So happy to be able to go to this bakery during our brief weekend getaway trip! Cinnamon bun was a bit more savory and kind of tastes a bit like buckwheat without it actually having buckwheat, and loved the amount of cinnamon. Magic bars were definitely magic. Treated caramel, with a hint of coconut. Chocolate on top was made in one of my favorite styles. Overall texture was a bit crunchy. Could eat half a dozen easy. Would be perfect with an espresso or black coffee.
The deserts are pretty tasty, but there is not a lot of variety and the prices are a bit expensive. Seating is also very limited. However, the service was excellent and the staff were friendly. I would still recommend this place if you are in the mood for desserts, but they should still add more options like cake slices.

Despite the many mixed and poor reviews, I decided to give this place a try for my wife's birthday. I ordered a french toast style cake with maple frosting, along with an order of 6 oatmeal raisin cookies (her favorite). Upon picking up the food, the cake looked very well made and had a very pleasant odor of maple and cinnamon. After taking the first bite, may we just say, this was the best cake that we have had. The frosting was delicious, but not at all too sweet, which is an issue I have with most bakeries. The cake itself was plenty moist, but also hearty. The oatmeal raisin cookies were out of this world. Just the right amount of sweetness, and super soft. All in all, we will be back. Reading through the negative reviews, I do understand that sometimes a bad batch can make its way through and everyone's taste buds are different. For us, it is great to find such a great tasting bakery that is dairy free and gluten free. Neither of us have a gluten allergy, but we did notice that after eating a large amount of the sweets from here, we did not feel any kind of sluggishness that we have felt from eating sweets elsewhere. Keep it up guys!
Good donuts, good prices. They only have one flour mix, so things tend to have a very similar taste. The mix is a garbanzo bean flour, but the coppery flavor is very subdued. Get yourself some chocolate glazed vanilla donuts, you wont regret it. Celiac friendly, soy free, corn free, and safe. First good gluten free donut I've found in 4 years.
We ordered the pumpkin glazed donut and pumpkin cupcake. Both were super delicious and moist. I wanted to try everything it all looked so good! Especially hard to find an all vegan bakery. My only suggestion would be to offer plant based milks because nothing washes down a donut quite as well. I look forward to coming back the next time I’m in Philadelphia!
Best bakery ever! Great customer service, cakes are beautiful and most importantly delicious. Ordered a fishing theme cake, showed them a pic of one, told them exactly what I wanted and they got it done. My father-in-law loved it! They are awesome! Update: ordered another beautiful and delicious cake. Showed them pic and got exactly what I asked for! Cake was for my mother in law. I refuse to believe the negative reviews they have. Will keep using them for every celebration we have .
So hard to find baked goods that I can eat, because I have multiple allergies. And working from recipes to make my own stuff at home can be so hit or miss.
I love this place! Everything I have tried here is amazing. Honestly, their stuff doesn't have that dry disappointing Gf vegan taste that some people have come to expect. These baked goods are just as delicious and moist as their glutinous counterparts.
Delicious! Really good prices for gluten free/vegan goodies. The cake bites and the chocolate chip cookies are my favorite. The girl at the front was very friendly and helpful.
The service there today was fabulous! I loved the guy that waited on us. Sweet Freedom has safe treats for those of us who have food allergies. Let me just say...the Fauxtoss (mock Hostess)cupcakes are the bomb! Today's trip was by far the best because the atmosphere was awesome. Plus tasty cupcakes! Yummy!
I ordered from Sweet Freedom for a large event where I needed some gluten-free options. It's a great bakery, and the fact that they're gluten-free is just an added bonus. Honestly, the baked goods at Sweet Freedom are so good regardless of what's in them, and I definitely recommend them whether you're just popping in for a snack or getting a large order for an event.
Great little vegan bakery, delicious treats whether you are vegan or not. We love going to the Collingswood location and this one is the original where it is baked fresh. Highly recommend for vegan/gluten free eaters and friends alike.
