Makhani - Philadelphia - Photo album

Superb meal here Friday night! What a gem. Saw them on Fox 29 local TV over the summer. Loved the Tandoori Wings, the special Akbari (spelling? ) chicken. It had a delectable sauce with special nut flavors and delicate creamy curry. I generally cannot tolerate cream sauces but had no problem. La
I have been waiting for this restaurant to open for few weeks! Finally got to try it and let me just say it was amazing. Very clean and fine dining feeling. Service was great but best part was the food!! Omg it was amazing!!! I’ll be back again keep up the good work guys!
Great, fresh cooked food and a friendly environment! I got the veggie lunch special, and it was a good amount of food for the price. Will definitely come back for dinner!
I have had the privilege of growing up with wonderful cooks in my family. It has made me truly appreciate every nuance of a well prepared and decadent dish. I have been to Makhani twice in about a month and each visit has been amazing. Makhani is an intimate restaurant where everyone is welcomed...
Very delicious well balanced food. Spices are amazing and rice is on point. Authentic Cuisine to it's finest. Atmosphere was very seductive and decor , Modern Feel! Great Staff and the Mango Cheese Cake 😋😁😁!!! Wow
Wandered in here by accident looking for a new spot in Old City - very happy we did! We had the vegetable samosa which was quite tasty and brought out very quickly. Then for entrees the Mali-shrimp and makhani shrimp - I don’t know which was better! We both cleaned our plates and came just short of
I had a lovely lunch here. It felt like they took the time to prepare everything fresh. My samosas were very tasty as was the eggplant appetizer. Staff and owner very nice, attentive.
Just got back from an early dinner. What a great new Indian restaurant in Old City. We had a few specials so they may not be on the menu if you go. From the menu, the Paneer Korma was fantastic. Spicy, sweet, nutty, rich, absolutely delicious. Naan was cloudlike. Mango cheesecake was just the p
I ate here with my husband and in-laws who are visiting from North India. Not only was the food incredible, but the menu was a delightful surprise! I fell in love with the Mango Paneer, and my husband loved the Kashmiri Chicken. Both had a delicious creamy curry. The bright elegant decor creates a
I chose the lamb shanks and they were amazing! The Naan is also some of the best I’ve had. So flavorful, so happy to have another great restaurant in the neighborhood. I do wish they would get a soda machine, but maybe for my health it’s better that they don’t haha.
I loveee this place! The food is delicious, always had really nice waitstaff, and the atmosphere is cozy and calming. I am gluten free and mostly vegan and they were great with making recommendations and any modifications I needed. My favorite was the Choley Peswary. Highly recommend!
At first go we were little hesitant to try the food at this restaurant during our weekend visit to Philly, but after little thought we went for it . The taste of vegatarin food was really good and Naan was awesome too. Two things to call out - quantity served was less compare to other places and als
Makhani Modern India Restaurant in Old City is fantastic. I ordered from there for home delivery and got my food in about 30 minutes. It was hot and fresh when I received it. I got Meat Samosas, Naan and Chicken Makhani and It was delicious.
The food is excellent but the waiter is rude. I went with my fiance and even though I tried to ask him about the portion size, he avoided eye contact and acted like I wasn't even there. He certainly has a way around Caucasians, very polite with them.
