Went by today for lunch with a friend. I love that their tables are all covered and service was pretty fast and the staff was nice. The water ice was delicious especially the strawberry lemonade flavor and the beef patties! Plan to come back to try some other food items.
Oh course they have amazing fun water ice flavors though lately I’ve been opting for the ice cream. All ice cream isn’t created equal but Fred is definitely on to something. Fred’s is on par with a creamery if that’s your jam, so why take that drive when you can stop here!

Should have been came here. I enjoyed my green apple gelati with rainbow sprinkles. My Pretzel was fresh.
They're black owned and they have fenced in seating so you let the kids get their eat on without messing up the car or they clothes or stroller.they located on the trolley and bus route
It is ALWAYS mouth-watering and SPECIAL treat when I get the chance to come up and stop by. It's rare!

This is a large gelati which could easily feed 2 or 3 ppl .. like its packeedd. I got coconut cream and strawberry lemonade water ice which is just soo good. The guy who is working there at night was so nice. Definitely coming back ! They have so many options and flavors. Side note it is in a quest

Strong recommendation- wonderful selection of water ice and ice cream and super reasonably priced!
I asked for 2 flavors in my "small" water ice, the pistachio and the piña colada, and both were magnificent And the portion was enormous-- 2 cups by my estimate. The staff is friendly and helpful. All just what I needed on a **HOT** day in a heat emergency.

I stopped on a hot Sunday afternoon for a water ice. I ended up getting a Strawberry Vanilla Gelati and it was awesome. The water ice was great, not too sweet and the creamy Vanilla soft serve was a nice complement. People around were very friendly and the prices were very reasonable.
My favorite is the mango gelati. Water ice is the way to go to beat the heat in Philly.
Love the water ice. Hate the pretzels hard
