love this place. char grilled pork banh mi and tofu banh mi my favorites -- delicious and affordable. going to miss this place.
The greatest Vietnamese deli ! Love the tofu hoagies and they come highly recommended.
Fu-Wah is amazing. Their Vietnamese hoagies are a staple of West Philadelphia cuisine. Go. Now.
Good people. Good food. If it's not a spicy tofu sub, it's a buffalo chicken hoagie.. they know how I like it
Best Viet Namese hoagies anywhere especially the Tofu
I’ve always felt my favorite banh mi spots were in north and south Philly. Oh my I’ve found another amazing spot located in the cedar park neighborhood of west Philly. Order the classic with pate and extra mayo, something about their mayo sauce mix, with every bite it got better and better 🤤🤤
BEST TOFÜ HOAGIE EVER! Only $6.50 and worth every penny. They’ve got a ton of other menu items.
Also they have many different products (noodles, ice cream, fruits fresh produce and fresh bread) and household essentials. Owners are also friendly. Really lovely overall and good prices too. will definitely come back!
One of if not the best Banh Mi / Tofu hoagie in the city. Has been around a long time, over 15 years for me. Neighborhood staple and very friendly owner, family business. Many unique items I tried for the first time from this place. Cash only!
Fu Wah is just the best. They squeeze in an incredible selection of Asian groceries in a tight space and their tofu banh mi hoagie with everything on it is my favorite in the city. The staff here are super helpful and efficient. They are no longer cash only.
Char grilled pork (order extra cilantro) was delicious and smoky and satisfying!! Store was well curated, grab some giant fresh ginger root to bring home!
Everyone was friendly and very helpful. I ordered the chargrilled pork. It was extremely delicious. Wow!!!! I will be back.👏🤗😃
Tofu > pork
I’ve had both but the tofu was so good I’ll keep getting that one
Love this store and it’s quirkiness
THIS PLACE IS CASH ONLY. You're welcome. The ATM fee is $1.80, otherwise.
A friend of mine raves about the tofu hoagies here. I've tried them a couple times now -- just under $5 for a sandwich is pretty good, but I wish it had more veggies. It's mostly sweet fried tofu, with a little carrot/daikon, cilantro, and a few big slices of jalapeno (which try as might, I cannot take a bite out of without burning my lips off --- you can ask them to hold the peppers but there's nothing to balance all the sweetness without it!). My husband likes the tuna salad hoagie -- it's double the size for $7 (unfortunately they don't upsize the tofu one, I've asked). The couple times he's had it it's been pretty soggy, tho. We're feeling so-so about the hoagies, but will keep going back because of the convenience/price.
The market itself is very sweet. Loads of interesting organic, gourmet, and pan-asian grocery items, including dark chocolate candy bars, quality soba noodles, vegan meat substitutes, and baking ingredients. I haven't seen any organic produce here. Prices can be steep but it's nice to have this type of stuff in the 'hood. The outdoor seating area is pretty adorable, too.
Incredible tofu banh mi, so delicious and reasonably priced. The store itself is also really great and has a diverse range of products. Love this place!!!
Neighborhood one-stop-shop for all your random pantry essentials and last minute ingredients… such as a lemon! Which I scurried over to fu-wah for the other night mid-potluck prep!!
