Love this place and this morning my partner surprised me with my favorites so I thought I’d share the joy: plain bagel— I usually go for a flavor but here the original plain is the best in my opinion, always fresh and a good chew to it, good crisp bake on outside, good with cream cheese, better with butter! And my fav of all time: the vanilla cream beignet, the pastry cream inside is sooo good, real vanilla bean flecks, crispy fry outside fluffy dough, so good!!

Hands down, best croissants since living in Paris. Worth the trip, and a fantastic find on a Saturday morning after a late Friday night.

Four Worlds Bakery is a *FANTASTIC* bakery with some of the best pastries and breads in the city. Go there and try everything, they need and deserve our support! LONG STORY: I have been going to Four Worlds Bakery for years and have always been amazed at the incredible variety and magical deliciousness of their croissants and pastries in particular. In this picture alone you have the following croissants: chocolate almond (one of the best things I've ever eaten), raisin, apricot brie, lemon curd, spinach ricotta, and goat cheese, and I barely scratched the surface of what they offer. Also pictured are a whole wheat sourdough bread and a Carrot Cake Man carrot cake. Consider this your reminder to go there, and for the many people new to the neighborhood who haven't yet tried it. It's honestly one of the best bakeries in the city; on the quality alone it deserves our patronage and support. But beyond that, the owner is such a kind, generous, wonderful contributor to good in our community. Just a few highlights: - FWB donates tons to organizations that do great work like Food Not Bombs - During the pandemic FWB began offering other bakeries' items for sale, to support their survival during the hardest times for everyone - FWB donated part of its profits to support Lee's Deli's recovery - offered a place for Carrot Cake Man to sell his best-in-the-MF-world carrot cakes (!) when Lee's closed - donated big boxes of baked goods to hospital staff working the front lines during the pandemic Please, please flood them with business! Get your job to order a big box of happiness for staff! You won't be disappointed, I promise.

I ordered bread here once and haven't been happy with store bought bread since. It's a blessing and a curse! The sourdough and whole wheat are our regular orders, but literally everything here is good. The pastries are DELICIOUS. They're never too sweet!!!! You can actually taste the ingredients. Definitely recommend signing up for their email list. They offer great discounts and sometimes free delivery! Great walk in specials too.

I bought a pastry with sweet potato and pecans. It was delicious, the inside was airy. I really enjoyed it. Never had anything like it. Will go back

I have never had a bad item from here. Items from Four Worlds and Au Fournil are our favorites- especially the beignets, croissants and pretzels (which are sourdough so a bit different in the best of ways)

This is an amazing bakery. Not only is the food delicious, but Timmy is good people. Visiting from Florida I was pleasantly surprised when he came out after closing and offered a free pastry. Two cons, one I live in Florida and two it isnt open 24 hours!

Never have I had something from here I didn’t absolutely love. Don’t skip the city-best soft pretzel, the apple turnovers, olive bread or sesame bagels. Time your trip here with Clark Park’s year-round Saturday farmers market if you don’t live in the general area.

Fast and friendly service during the time of COVID. They make sourdough bagels, so that's a lot different for anyone who is used to NY/NJ style bagels. Still great quality bagels. The challah and brownie were great. None of that even came close to the almond croissant, though. The plain croissants were solid, but it really transcends when you add almond. It was life-changing. I had a dream about the almond croissant after eating it. I miss my croissant. I will go back and get another.

Great fresh bagels, bread, pizza dough, and croissants. You can also pick up local cheese and honey. They don't do sandwiches or prepared foods but you can pick up coffee and cream cheese when you order.

Was staying with a friend and South Philly and was able to walk to the bakery from her house. Great selection of fresh bread and pastries. I ordered several croissants and they were outstanding. I will definitely be stopping back on my next visit.

Pretty great. Everything’s solid, very traditional styles with some really nicely curated baked goods (cookies, tarts, etc) from other bakeries in the greater Philadelphia area. Coffee by the pound from Philly Fair Trade, lox and other goods available as well. If you’re looking for a croissant you could do far worse.

Four Worlds makes delicious sour dough breads and bagels, croissants that I have been told could be made in France, seasonal products like apple turnovers, and more. Throughout the pandemic the owner Michael Dolich and his staff have pivoted and pivoted, with Michael always focused on serving the community, making great products and SUPPORTING his staff as much as possible. Go enjoy
