We have gotten takeout here at least once a month since we moved to Mt Airy in 2018. Tasty Indian dishes, incredibly consistent, reasonable prices, great people. The woman who is the chef is a treasure, and the woman who runs the front is quite funny and pleasant. Very grateful to have this place.

Went in out of curiosity and to see what was available. My partner and I have recently been cooking a coconut milk butter chicken recipe due to her dairy and gluten allergies but it is such a lengthy process I was hoping to find a place that we could get it on demand. Spoke to Rani and as it turns out they have a gluten free and dairy free option for every day of the week!! Rani and the lady in the kitchen were both so helpful in making sure they could accommodate such limiting dietary restrictions. Took home the dairy free gluten free option of the day which was some nicely spiced meatballs and rice. We enjoyed it tremendously! Looking forward to coming back to try the recipes for the other days!! I only got a small container so It was like $6 for a whole meal!

I stumbled across this place on DoorDash and was skeptical by the prices……… Well was I wrong. It has become a weekly staple in life. I’ve tried almost everything but by far the butter chicken is the standout dish. Have it with the garlic naan and you will not be disappointed If you ever get a chance to pick it up you’ll get to meet the owner who is behind the counter serving up your dishes for you. She’s always lovely and greets you with a smile. A real gem in the neighborhood!!! Eat here!!!

A real Indian food taste. I loved the food, the lady at the reception was very welcoming, good service. I had Samosa, chana poori it has traditional punjabi taste. Plus they’re prices are lower compare to other Indian restaurants which is really good thing. I would recommend this place

This is a great place for Indian takeout! We love the rotating menu with different specialties each day of the week. The price per volume is great - more affordable than what you would get in a restaurant, but just as delicious. This restaurant has gotten us through many hectic days when we did not have time to cook but craved comforting Indian food.

Consistently good Indian takeout at great prices. Services is friendly and prompt. Limited menu but it's always consistent. The vegetarian combo platter is a great deal. It is not the best Indian food in the city, but there is a reason I have been a repeat customer for years.

Jyoti is a terrific neighborhood place to grab a quick, bite in or a fast meal to go. The food is outstanding and very reasonably priced for the quality you receive. And their rice is to die for! We got enough to feed four adults, two (very small) children, with enough for a lunch the next day for $34. Can't beat that! Inside the restaurant is small but nice. The staff is super nice and helpful. It's probably not a place you would go to eat in most of the time. But if you're flying solo, or just want to grab some food with a friend, they do have three tables and a small bar to eat at. Probably only 10 seats total.

I was walking in my new neighborhood and came across this little gem. Called in my order as one does in these times, and in no time was handed a bag with a whole lot of deliciousness inside. Reasonable prices and tasty food—can’t beat it. Looking forward to returning for more!

Nice local Indian restaurant to frequent other than Tiffin. There vegetarian dishes are good and they provide a lot of choices everyday of the week. They offer limited meat dishes, which may be a negative for some if you're not a primary veggie eater. The is small but has a trendy vibe. Good food and prices all around.
