Expensive, like Whole Foods expensive. I only come in here to buy bags of shredded mozzarella cheese by Polly-O for homemade pizza. I don't recommend doing your grocery shopping here due to the prices. However, it's a very well-kept store.
Nice supermarket, you can always find fresh vegetables. And most of all, I like the department where fresh sushi and rolls are prepared. A pleasant cook can even immediately make something to your taste by adding or replacing ingredients.
Great selection of fresh produce and locally sourced goods. This is one of the best local grocery stores in the area.
It's won national awards and seems to treat customers and employees with respect. Sometimes prices are a little high, but inflation is making things expensive in general.
Overall, you'll find pretty much anything you're looking for here. š
Everyone here is so nice, itās like knowing all my neighbors but in a store. Recently I got my daughters birthday cake and OMG was it perfect!!! The cake was deliciously moist, perfectly decorated and for $30 it fed 10 people and had leftovers and everyone had a second piece. Angie, I believe her name is, made my cake and let me tell you she is unbelievably good at her job and it was an absolute pleasure to get my cake done here. Also Iād like to add that the ENTIRE CAKE was edible!!!
Good selection of produce. Pretty good deli, they carry Dietz & Watson products. Staff is friendly. Bottle shop located in store which is nice to be able to be buy beer and wine there. Has quite a few products from small local businesses.
Always a great place to go. Everyone's so helpful and friendly. The vegetarian food is always a little pricey but they have good sales
Major shout out to the Port Richmond IGA bakery crew! I needed a last minute picture cake for a friend's 40th birthday party and they came through big time!
Not only were they able to turn the cake around with 48 hours notice - they also put the best little icing decorations on the cake around the picture and really tied it all together. Stellar service! And everyone I spoke to was super nice. I'm gonna start ordering picture cakes for everyone's birthday, haha!
Just wanted to say congratulations for well deserved recognition for the awesome work and service provided by all of the employees there at IGA in Fishtown ! The service is always above and beyond. The store is always clean and stocked with the freshest produce and meat products. The shelves are always full and well maintained. I've noticed how much better this store has become since it was Thriftway. ššššÆ Rob is an awesome manager and Sue Mei is a fantastic cashier. Always so nice ! My only complaint is that I often notice things stocked on shelves are not being rotated. Stock clerks being lazy...???š¤

October 22nd 2021 I just wanna update my review some has changed mostly just the new people they have working here especially in the bakery department end lunch meat department the way I get my lunch meat cut Is like thereās no more care in food like I ask for sliced thin but for month now itās hasnāt been good and I asked for fresh cut cheese not the pre cut stuff they always give me the pre cut stuff no matter whatā¦the bakery we got a frozen cake and had them put the name on it as you can see in my picture itās horrible a lot has changed here people have no care in making or doing anything with care or just a way to give to a person just sad how people donāt care no more !!!!! We come here a lot my wife and kids ...always nice comming food shopping here staff are very nice and helpful... food always fresh ..gets crowded at times but goes fast in lines ...the only place we go food shopping always have fresh foods ..they have everything we need and very clean here always staff around to help you out if in need ..but a really good place to take your family shopping here !!! I know we will be back soon just about ever week lol parking lot gets pretty full but u can always find a spot mite be a lil walk but not to bad ...

Thank you for having multiple varieties of vegan halo top, nada moo and arctic zero stocked. I have been on the look out for the vegan halo tops everywhere and I havenāt found them anywhere else. This grocery store has plenty of parking, a good produce section and a variety of interesting brands and snacks available. I originally found them on Instacart and will definitely be back.
I previously posted a one-star review because this store not only allows employees & patrons to smoke next to the one & only front entrance, but it even encouraged them, IMHO, by recently installing large ash bucket, also right next to the front entrance. The owner immediately responded to my review in a generally positive way, and he moved the ash bucket further from the front door. (Not far enough away to suit me, but I'll compromise & I do appreciate his responsiveness.) Overall this is a good store & it seems to be constantly improving. The bakery, in particular, has consistently given me great service over the years (lots of big orders for breakfast meetings for my large staff.) Their muffins & bagels are the BEST you can find in Philly. Their blueberry muffins are absolutely loaded with blueberries! Really, really good. It's great to see the whole Fishtown Crossing shopping center under going renovations too.
