If you want some good Spanish food this is the place to go. Nice service and great atmosphere ❤
Fresh homemade Spanish food! Also great service!
I have tried their food before (never breakfast though) and my family enjoyed it so we were expecting the same when we came looking for Puerto Rican breakfast. We had only been able to take out before (during COVID) but this time we saw a dine-in area which we were happy about. The area is a decent size, very clean and was comfortable (we were the only ones there) The lady serving us was very nice, food came out fairly quickly. Note that this establishment is cash only (I don’t remember if this was the case before it is now) but there is an ATM on site. We were lucky this time parking but I know from before this can be an issue. The breakfast was okay but I think their lunch/dinner menu items are better. The bacon was so good though (crispy, not salty) for both our dishes (bacon, egg, and cheese) and breakfast platter (egg white, bacon, guineos). We also had two coffees and two bottles of water and our bill was $23. I look forward to coming back for their fritura as I had them before!
OMG!!! So glad I ordered for my daughters birthday party!!! Everything was well packed and labeled. Reheated a little because we got the food early. Everything was soooo good, soooo yummy!!! All the rellenos were still juicy. No grease after taste. Thank you guys!!!
Freddy & Tony's on front street is a neighborhood & city go-to for authentic Puerto Rican food. The take-out area is ALWAYS jam-packed! That's always a good sign when located in the middle of a Puerto Rican neighborhood where people can easily make many of recipes themselves. The food is DELICIOUS & AITHENTIC! I ordered for an event. They did not miss a beat!!! Just as good for catering 200 people as they are feeding a small family. AND they r great people who care about the community which always goes a long way in my book! Prices are fantastic! They're known for their roasted chicken, but everything is good! We had arroz con gandules, roasted chicken, pernil (roasted pork), morjellas/escebeche (dish of green bananas & chicken liver. Dont knock it til u try it. 1 of my favs!!), potato salad for 200 people! UNDER $1,500!!! Even the local politicians use them as a go-to. There are 2 locations ... 1 on Front and Indiana and one at 2nd & Allegheny. I think both are yummy, but everyone I speak with thinks the one on Front st is the best. They're both always packed. Either way, u cant go wrong. They've been in yhe community at the same spot for 50+ years for a reason!!!
I absolutely love this place, but today I was disappointed with my food.😔I expected more food for what I paid for🤔maybe my timing was off.🤔I will try again in the future, but today I am not satisfied with my food & what I paid for. I feel I should have received more food.😔
Best Puerto Rican food in Philadelphia at the front and Indiana location. The only thing is there is a lot of weirdos walking around at all times so you want to get good food gotta keep your head on the swivel.
Looking for an authentic Puerto Rican Restaurant, then you have to try Freddy & Tony's. This restaurant has and always will be near and dear to my heart. Located in a highly hispanic populated neighborhood, you will find this popular restaurant.
I have been coming to Freddy & Tony's since I was born. This restaurant has been around since my mother was a child and we all agree that no matter what changes in life, the richness, flavor, and love put into the food here is one like no other.
The meal options are amazing. Whether I order the bistec encebollado, the ensalada de pulpo, the morcilla, the relleno de papa, the alcapurias, or anything else on their menu, I am never disappointed.
I love bringing friends and family here whenever they visit Philly. I highly recommend that you stop by and have a meal with Freddy & Tony. You will love it!
Love this place. Food is delicious, especially the potato balls and Alcapurria. Rice & beans with pork chops is delicious.
Definitely traditional PR food. Roast pork, beans and rice was satisfying. Roast pork and beans had nice flavor. Fried pork wasnt well seasoned, so spouse wasnt happy. Beans were okay. Blood sausage was good. Mofongo in gravy was decently good; a bit too much gravy for me. So the next day leftovers werent visually appealing; as gravy was soaked up in the Mofongo and just looked like mash. Not personally part of the culture, my prior food experience was based on home cooked food from of family close my heart stateside, in PR and establish ments in PR. If familiar with the cuisine, this will hit the spot if can't prepare yourself but definitely prefer homemade.
Always love it here! Wish they'd accept credit cards especially when there's a big party or # of people coming to eat.
ATTENTION: THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH....FOOD IS GOOD!! ATMOSPHERE 0%, YOU CANT DINE IN!!!!
My favorite PuertoRican spot to catch a nice hot quick fix meal very affordable and great portions and clean place
Absolutely LOVE this place.........good is always amazing and fresh and the people are just amazing. The Rellano De Papas and pastellos are always coming hot and fresh...... champagne cola is the best soda ever
The food was very good. I don't speak Spanish but I had a Spanish speaker with me, which made the ordering experience very easy. The staff is very polite and patient. The food didn't take long. It was made fresh and delicious.
If you don't try Freddy and Tony's then you haven't eaten Spanish food!
I bought 3 pounds of morcillas and took them to Texas with me. Every body loves it and I was told to make sure to give a 5 star review. Any ways. When I want Puertorican food I always come here fot more than 20 years and never had a problem.
The whole damn menu is great... Their piña coladas are 🔥
I had the best soup so delicious 😋
