Scanlon's Saloon - Philadelphia - Photo album

One of my favorite quiet places to play pool and have a drink. Very low key but the staff Ian very welcoming. Not too much foot traffic for others like myself who don't want to be bumping up against a ton of people on football Sunday.
Great service, there to talk when you want and not pushy if you don't want to talk and QUICK to refill your drink. I like to go for quizzo on Wednesday nights.
One of the best bars in Philadelphia. So glad a friend showed me this place
Very insular bar that doesn't seem to welcome outsiders and has a very weird vibe. They also don't serve food except for a single, strange sandwich advertised on a marker-written paper tacked up behind the bar, we declined. Doubtful it meets health code.. The beer choices were good but the consiste
Nice and quiet spot. 2 pool tables, coin operated so bring quarters or cash for change.
The owners and bartender are very pleasant people, the drinks are reasonably priced and made well. That being said the place is in dire need of a deep cleaning and menu revamp, with a little work it could really be a great spot.
My visit was brief and just stopped in for a beer and a shot for a friend's bday but the place had a great corner bar vibe and the drinks were very reasonable!! Will definitely stop back in next time I'm in that part of Roxborough.
Love this little bar. Very solid beer selection. Yards all day. Tacos Tuesday is like what my dad called "mexican" and I love it. Also, two pool tables and a great juke box. This place is a bar, not a restaurant. There's a million places to go if you just want to eat, this is a place to hang out.
