Stopped by for dinner. staff is very friendly, food is good, prices are good. I will admit, I feel as though we waited a little long for our food, but it was good. Restroom area is a little rough looking.

The quality of food and portion size is well worth the price. A good variety of food on the menu and the staff is friendly. Really nice outdoor seating great for a nice night out. Make a reservation in advance as it is quite popular for good reason. Would come back for sure.

This is the BEST Italian/Americana fusion you’re gonna find in the heart of Simsbury, actually I’d be bold enough to say it, in the VALLEY! So good. If you live nearby or just passing through, you owe it to yourself to come to Soma. Great staff as well, we were seated in a matter of minutes! This is on a Friday night folks. So good. Everything from the pan seared scallops appetizer down to the decadent strawberry cheesecake :) I’m going to have to run a few miles tonight but all worth it!!! (PS, the lobster ravioli will melt in your mouth and the PO boy fried shrimp sandwich is one of the best I’ve had in the northeast) I’d rate 6/5 if I could. Definitely a repeat customer in the making :) Even the owner was nice enough to stop what he was doing to come check on us 20-somethings. That says a lot about his character. We will be back for more!

Wonderful atmosphere with the outside band and delicious food. Really enjoyed the food and like the variety as I don’t find a lot of places in Ct with paella. Nice overall and would recommend

We had our rehearsal dinner at Soma Grille last week and the whole experience was exceptional. Chris and his staff made it easy for us from planning the dinner to execution. There was a small blip at the beginning with things getting off to a slow start but they fixed that very quickly and even better than expectation. Chris made a point to come out and check on us every once in a while to make sure that we had everything we needed, and checked in on the other tables as well. Everyone raved about how awesome the food was. Good times were had by all. Thank you to Chris and the staff at Soma Grille to make an important moment in our lives that much more special. Highly recommend this place to all. Thanks Again! Jon & Ashley

We found this place just prior to our wedding, my now-wife had lunch with a co-worker and they loved the place and food. We liked the setting and atmosphere so much that we booked our wedding dinner there, and later a baby shower brunch. Chris is very fantastic, and the crew that ran both of our event's did an absolutely top-notch job handling both events! We are VERY impressed with the service and level of attention given to our parties during both events. The food was amazing, and they made both events very enjoyable and relaxing for us. The prices for events are VERY reasonable as well, and Chris was incredibly relaxing and accommodating to work with for both events. I can't recommend this place enough! For the ease of dealing with them, the incredible and professional service, and the price... we found a real gem of a place and will definitely be using this venue for future events!

An all around good experience. Yesterday was my first time here, and I was pleasantly surprised by the unassuming bar on the riverside. The fresh spring weather certainly helped with the ambiance, as it made for the perfect day to sit outside and watch the boats go by after being trapped inside all winter. More importantly, the food was quite good. At the end of the day, it’s bar food, but bar food done well. Instead of chicken fingers they had boneless fried chicken and fries, hand breaded even. Though the batter could have used some seasonings, a little hot sauce and honey kept me quite content. The fish and chips was a nice portion, and tasted fresh as well, no hint of burnt oil that would absolutely ruin this meal. We only had a pitcher of beer, which was good, so I son’t have much to say about their drink menu this time around. The service was the only place that was somewhat lacking, however these days I don’t really hold that against folks, I just tend to give extra praise when the service is exceptional.

SoMa Downtown Grill & Café, a charming eatery that specializes in American cuisine with a twist, is located in Phillipsburg, NJ. The address is 62 S. Main Street, hence the name SoMa, which stands for South Main. SoMa's decor is simple yet elegant enough to match the charm of its owner, Carol who cooked the food that we ordered to perfection! I ordered the Bistro Steak, grilled to a perfect medium rare, was smothered with peppers and onions, and glazed with Korean BBQ sauce. I added a baked potato as a side dish and a salad with Ranch dressing as a starter. My lunch date ordered the mouthwatering Mushroom Swiss Burger, which is the latest addition to their impressive menu. Carol's son Eddie, who was our server and also the establishment's bartender extraordinaire, was very pleasant, professional and polite. He made sure that everything was great, from the food and drinks we ordered to the lively music that played as we enjoyed our food. Carol was even nice enough to show us the outdoor bistro in the back, even though it's already closed during the colder months. Their outside dining area, which is large and can accommodate a nice-sized party, has an awesome view of the Delaware river, and the train tracks that ran just outside of their establishment, all for the enjoyment of their customers while they dined in the summer months. All in all, our dining experience at SoMa exceeded our expectations, especially after meeting and talking to the owners of this fine establishment who gave us their personal touch in excellent customer service! Bravo!
