Celebrated my birthday here and we couldn't of selected a better restaurant in Arizona. A true authentic piece of Arizona history and a complete gem through and through. From the point we entered the restaurant we were greeted by the hostess whom immediately wished me a happy birthday. We had a few drinks in the bar. First of all the bar is stunning, bartender was great I believe his name was Harry. Once seated for dinner the experience was personal and intimate. In a dining room completely full this is hard to do but with the superior professionalism of our waiter John he made it seem easy. I have truly never been that impressed with a waiter as he remained connected with our table the entire time. Even down to the bus boys working in perfect order in the dining room to ensure the optimal experience for all. The food LORD where do I start, we had venice sausage with cranberry and apple chutney, prime rib, bison rib eye, and NY strip ABSOLUTELY cooked to perfection and AMAZING. The clam chowder is simply to die for. The chili is on point. The potato stack a taste buds delight. When you think it can't get better along comes the pecan pie and cheescake. From the time you enter to the time you leave the entire staff makes you feel like family. Hands down the best money I have spent on a meal. Deserves more than five copper stars. We were exceedingly pleased and can't wait to return!!! A perfect gem!!!

We found Stickyard by accident as it was close to our hotel and we were tired but wanted a nice place for mother’s day dinner. Man we were glad we did. From our server Alice who was so nice and told us the history of the place to the food everything was really spectacular. My wife had the twin lobster tails and we both had the seafood chowder and I had the Elk ( I mean you have to try Elk when in Arizona right?). The Chile chocolate cake put the topping on the meal. We really had a nice evening and to end it Alice gave my wife a nice chocolate truffle for mother’s day.

I was in town for business and few folks we we met with recommended this place. Stockyards is by far the best steakhouse I've ever been to. I ordered the Arizona Cut 24oz Ribeye and it was AMAZING! Our server Alice was fun, and knowledgeable and made the experience one to remember! I'll definitely be back again!

Had cocktails first, great selection of bourbon, Bookers is a favorite so enjoyed one on the rocks, excellent. My wife a cosmopolitan which she enjoyed. We shared the tenderloin for 2, cooked to order just perfect and the sides were tasty. A medium priced bottle of wine, which we both liked. Great service! Quiet dining. A totally enjoyable evening!

The ambiance is excellent! Food, superb. Service, awesome. I walked in here all negative in vibes for my garage door got knocked down by the storm but boy, my entire experience here turned things around. Please let your entire staff know how good of a job they're doing. I'm pretty sure some of you have their own garage-door-knocked-down version of a bad day, but still manage to deliver exemplary service at their job. Keep spreading good vibes.

This steakhouse is superb. The ambiance is very appealing, the food is delicious and the service is outstanding. Restaurant manager Casey along with staff members such as Parker, Ron etc combine to provide the warm, friendly and professional attitude that makes The Stockyards Restaurant the most enjoyable dining experience in the Phoenix area.

We made a reservation for dinner on a Saturday night but they were able to get us in much sooner when we showed up early. Our waiter was wonderful. It was our anniversary and he brought out our dessert with a candle on it to celebrate and took pictures for us and gave it to us free as an anniversary present. The food was all excellent and I loved the strawberry Cosmo. The atmosphere was very cool. I'm sure we'll be back for future celebrations.

In town for business and found this excellent place to escape the trip. Our server John had knowledge of the whole menu and guided us with precision. The Bison steaks, New York strip, and Bass were all cooked and seasoned perfectly. We also tried half the appetizers available and were not disappointed. The nostalgic atmosphere makes you feel at home and warm. A must to dine here while in the area.

Showed up around the time the main restaurant stops seating in the main area, so we went into the bar area and had the opportunity to order off the whole menu still. We were looking for more of an appetizer/snack anyway. So we ordered a club and a soup and chili. Customer service was amazing and very friendly. Had a few margaritas and some wine. Great atmosphere and ambiance, and the history of this place is pretty awesome as well! We enjoyed our food, four stars on the food only represents that our food was a more basic dish. The food was still fresh and good.

Stockyards is a classic steakhouse. Where the majority of the market has seemingly moved towards a more posh, 5-star slant, Stockyards almost defiantly sticks to its guns and roots by preserving the western/cowboy styling of the self-proclaimed "Arizona's original steakhouse." It is a little hard to define the Stockyards experience, as it seems to force a juxtaposition of old-fashioned, no-frills saloon and refined American cuisine. The results are mixed. The soup of the day, a wild boar gumbo, was delicious and creative, yet slightly over-salted and served with packaged crackers. The steak was a decent cut and cooked approximately to order but served plain but for the char marks I would prefer to go without. It was improved by the tasty whiskey-peppercorn side sauce, but again over-salting made it hard to fully enjoy. The Citrus Burnt Cream is their version of crème brulée, which is served at nearly every steakhouse in the area, but unfortunately the burnt sugar crust was too thin to give that satisfying first crack and the citrus flavor was hard to detect. Overall, Stockyards offers a particular kind of steakhouse experience that is great if you are looking for an elevated version of a Black Angus or Longhorn Steakhouse, but if you are looking for the fine dining experience offered by many modern steakhouses, you should look elsewhere to find white table cloths and dimlit elegance.

Each time we are in Phoenix we make sure to go to the Stockyard. The history of the restaurant is interesting. The hand carved bar is beautiful. The atmosphere is casual. The food and service is top notch. We have gone to many NYC steakhouses and the steaks here are on par. Fantastic onion rings and a perfect rib eye.

My wife and I stopped here for lunch one day when we were in the area. We arrived an hour before they closed between lunch and dinner, so it was nice and quiet. We were both very glad we did. I started with a cup of some pretty awesome New England clam chowder, which was topped with crispy bacon bits. I had the 12 oz bison ribeye, and she had the 12 oz filet mignon. Both were very tender and well cooked. We decided to also spring for dessert. Her chocolate mousse was rich and creamy. The raspberry added the perfect balance to the nearly dark chocolate flavor. The pecan pie. Wow! This is probably the BEST pecan pie either of us have ever eaten. Everything about it was perfect. All in all, it is definitely worth a try if you're craving a great steak and you have a little extra $ to throw down.

June 12, 2023 I am regret to be informed the experience was not satisfactory and manager Mr. T. Moore manager only made the situation worst. Waitress- not attentive and didn't bring out the appetizers before meal. Staff-uses foul mouth it is encouraged by management Food- great! ( chef did a wonderful job) Management- horrible customer service skills. Side note, the last time I visited i was in my business attire Definitely will not recommend this restaurant to anyone base on my finding. A month agoExcellent hostesses, kitchen staff, waiter and waitress. The food was excellent. The menu selection is ideal. The atmosphere was phenomenal.

Went here for my birthday celebration with some girl friends and it was excellent. I regularly cook filet mignon at home so my steak standards are high. I ordered the 8oz filet and it was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of marbling. The parmesan potatoes were a server recommendation and they didn't disappoint! Out table of 4 also shared grilled asparagus, mushrooms, green chili mac and cheese, and the filet appetizer. Everything was delicious, hot, and cooked to perfection! The service was excellent as well. They platted our cake for the table, then took it to the back to cut and serve after dinner. They also gave us free dessert to go, which was a nice bonus. It was a leisurely dinner with just enough attention. We never had to ask for anything (refills, more bread, etc.). I also thought the atmosphere was great. I've been to the bougie Scottsdale steakhouses and much prefer the Stockyards' atmosphere for it's more refined but relaxed vibe. Overall, 10 out of 10!

Good classic steakhouse. Ordered the bone-in Delmonico and my wife got the bone in ribeye. I liked the delmonico better. Very tender, lots of flavor. The Parmesan potato’s were great, highly recommend. And the bread pudding was a solid dinner.

Jokes aside!!! This was an incredible steakhouse. Our server was Megan. Megan was very knowledgeable waitress. We went there for me, because my husband is vegan. We were not sure what to expect but Megan helped me with the menu and chose the best steak that I’ve EVER eaten. Megan picked the best vegan meal for my husband. I will return because this restaurant delivers!❤️.

The food here is great and the servers are wonderful. The bar could use a little bit of updating and maybe another TV but otherwise it was great. You can't ever go wrong here.
