Robert, our server/bartender is very cordial and friendly! He was able to juggle all the various guests/tables and remain attentive to each!
It was our first visit, and enjoyed the food and service! I was surprised the menu was lighter in offerings than I anticipated. We did enjoy the seasonal menu! No Chile Relleno? I was also anticipating signature dishes with “garlic” after the restaurant namesake.

Family ordered take out here for brothers birthday. Went to pick it up and everyone here was polite and very kind.
The food is amazing. Beans and rice and the shredded beef for the tacos were all very good.
I place and order to-go for the flan and brisket tacos. Wow on the tacos. I've never been a fan of pickled veggies but they were the perfect balance of flavors that brought the tacos together. They were just pulling the flan out of the oven so I didn't get to try it but they substituted the fried ice cream and it was just OK. The coating on the outside wasn't very crispy and the cereal flakes were to large for my own preference (the thin cookie crumb/bread crumb size makes for a better coating). Atmosphere looked wonderful and the customer service was great! I hope to come by again to sit down and have the full experience and try their flan:)
The service was excellent on both of our recent visits. The food was the best chicken taco salad and the cheese enchiladas were even better than mine! My husband loved his tacos, too. We don't live in the Valley, but Ajo Al's is THE place for Mexican Food as far as we're concerned from now on.
Fabulous chicken mole & shredded beef tacos were so tasty. Try the specials the chef is brilliant. Our server was perfect and really cared that we were happy.
Their booths are comfortable & clean. Stylish decor is completely native Arizonan. The hand blown glass light shades are especially wow.
Recommended for anyone wanting a romantic or friendly meal. Choices are mild to highly spicy AZ upscale Mexican foods.

Great service. The gentleman that served our corporate group near 7 pm on april 19 was outstanding. Detail oriented, attentive, got all our orders right. Unlimited chips. The queso dip which my coworker ordered was delectable. The red sauce enchillada, i had better, but overall a very nice welcoming atmosphere with good queso dips
Server was very attentive! I thought my shredded beef chimi was tasty, but it had a little too much moisture content (like a little draining might help). My wife got the crispy beef tacos and enjoyed them very much. Overall it was a very good experience!

Food is expensive but what is not these days...
I had the Carne Asada Ajo Al's bowl. Total with tax was $20.08
Decent taste. Ok for quick airport food.
Never disappointing. Consistent quality and "tasty" food. The Servers and Staff are always courteous and attentive. On this occasion we were dining with Senior's with special needs and we were taken care of beyond what would be expected. A big Thank You for accommodating our Seniors.

Consistently Great Food and Service every time we visit Ajo Al's.

Super friendly and accommodating server, Ashley made us feel so welcome! The food was great! We also had the chili con Queso which was delicious!
Our family might be spread out through the entire valley at this point, but we always meet here whenever we can. We have shared many memories here and look forward to sharing many more. Love this family owned restaurant. Remember... My mom only gets 1 margarita...ONE!
This is a hidden gem, food is absolutely delicious. By far the best Mexican dishes around and if you go other the cheese dip! Or server Robert was spot on, very friendly personable and made the experience great. 10/10
Went there for lunch while running errands, we loved it! I had carne asada street tacos my wife had chicken tacos. The sides were great and service was pretty good, little slow, but not bad. I do wish we went Tuesday. As you can order three different tacos to have on taco Tuesday, other days you can only choose one.
