My wife and I responded to a postcard from the Genuine for a complimentary Margherita pizza and bottle of wine. We are so glad we did. We went for their Happy Hour and got there just as they opened, so my pictures show the restaurant without any patrons. The decor is comfortable yet elegant their kitchen features a wood-fire oven, and their menu utilizes it perfectly. The lamb meatballs and pizza were delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. We enjoyed everything, and we can't wait to go back for dinner to enjoy the ambiance at night and sample more of their cuisine.

First time at The Genuine, and it was such a pleasant dining experience. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and it was a great restaurant to eat food and drink lovely cocktails. For appetizers, we ordered the duck egg rolls and the ahi tuna tartare. The duck egg rolls were honestly my favorite. The meat was well seasoned, and the slaw in the egg roll was really flavorful. The ahi tuna tartare was also great as well. For our main dish, I got the seared Icelandic salmon. It was nicely done, crispy on the outside with the salmon still moist. The salmon was a little on the salty side, but when eaten with couscous, tomatoes, corn, and squash, really it even out. For cocktails, I ordered the nitro double espresso martini and take Bethany home. Both were very good options. Our waitress Liz was amazing. She made us felt welcome. Gave great recommendations and was such a joy. The whole staff was awesome. The restaurant was clean. They had a complimentary valet. We will definitely be going back.

Love the patio seating! Very chic, great music playing in the background, and overall, gives a chill vibe. Definitely want to go back and try more of their menu!

11-15-2023 - Back to The Genuine for dinner. We ordered the Wild Arugula Salad, which I love. Not pictured. Also ordered the Squid Ink Mafaldine, pictured. It was delicious. The drink with the edible flower is Sex & Violets. Recommend. Stopped at The Genuine for some appetizers and to check out the remodel. The space on 16th Street used to be The Vig. I LOVE the redesign and new entrance. The green beans are super tasty. Don't remember the coating but it was delish 👍🏾

Love their community support with a community beer handle where they give a couple dollars of the beer to a non profit. Their food and vibe is great. Wood fire pizza is awesome, this go around we had some different items and loved them all the same.

My new favorite brunch spot! This cute place has indoor and outdoor dining with a cozy feel. From the food to the service, this is 10/10. Noell was our server and gave THE BEST SERVICE ever. She was the highlight of our brunch and her attentiveness, friendliness, and welcoming attitude made the experience that much better. Whipped Black Pepper Feta - 7/10 - A good starter but did not give enough lavash for the portion. Had to order another side of it and it was $3 - It was tasty, salty, sweet Charcuterie Board - 7/10 - A classic for the table, but overpriced by $4-$6 Cinnamon Roll - 10/10 - This stole the show! - Outside had a crunch texture - Inside was fluffy and flavorful - It wasn’t overly sweet which I appreciated Meat & Potato Skillet - 8/10 - Had it with over easy egg - The perfect savory breakfast item - Could have had more meat Bloody Mary & Pineapple Mimosa - 10/10 - $5 need I say more? Overall, this was an amazing experience from service to food. I’ll be back to try their dinner!

We started out the night at nearby restaurant that turned us away because we had our 16 month old baby boy with us. Their loss was our gain because the Genuine hit the spot. Great service (our server’s name was Megan — she’s top notch). Killer atmosphere and vibe. Fantastic food made for foodies (I had the double smash burger - 🤤) And…they welcomed our little boy with a smile. We will definitely be back for future date nights!

This place is ALOT nicer than I expected. Very busy both nights I went. I recommend making a reservation. They have Valet. The food here is wonderful and local bought. I had the Octopus and the Shrimp. Both were very generous portion and were cooked to perfection. My waiter Ivan was delightful and helped me pick out a mocktail and was very helpful when describing menu items. The macaroons were a great finisher! The manager Sara came out and delivered our meals and she was also very delightful to talk to!! Great place guys!! Keep up the good work! 🖤🖤🖤

I simply can't express how much I love this place. The design, of course, is fantastic, and the food was simply delicious. Lovely drinks and super service. We actually showed up with a larger group than we reserved space for and they were gracious enough to figure out how to seat us. Highly recommend the beet salad and fungi pizza.

Cool vibe, and an interesting menu. We were in on a Sunday evening and it was almost empty.

We had come in because we'd seen a spot on the news about the date night menu centering on tequila. Since we met at a tequila tasting, it was the perfect way to celebrate our engagement. They took such good care of us! Incredible food and excellent service. Make sure to get tickets to this monthly tasting menu! Took a star off for the multiple TVs hanging around. I wouldn't expect games on with food this good, and find them to be a distraction.

Had a wonderful dinner here with friends. Super cool '70s chic decor provides for an upscale atmosphere that's not too pretentious. Great drinks, selection, wine, beer and signature cocktails. But these guys are masters of the brick oven from our first appetizer of brussel sprouts, squash, apples and candied pecans served in a piping hot cast iron cazuela to our entries and dessert of bourbon bread pudding (also served in cast iron). Everything was cooked to perfection. Dishes were creative, flavorful and fresh. Best of all we found the prices were very reasonable for the times. Our server Adam took great care of us. A very pleasurable experience, we'll be back

The food was amazing. Came here with a party of 9 and they were very accommodating. Their veggies are all locally sourced and their drinks were all on point. My wife and parents were both very impressed. Entire staff was all very nice too.

Stopped by the Vig on our way home from the state fair because we were starving and was happy to find out that their kitchen was still open at 10:30. We order a couple of items from the main menu and appetizers and was very happy with our food. I wouldn't get coffee here though. Overall good service, waiter was nice. The art work was really cool on the ceiling and there were dividers between our booths. I would definitely recommend this spot for some late night dining.
