Quite a Surprise
Family owned Italian restaurant that we found the food delicious and the staff quite friendly. We had the lasagna and a specialty pizza with prosciutto, figs and brie which was amazing. Highly recommend!
Fantastic food. Everything is made fresh and from scratch. We had salad, pizza, and garlic bread and it was all delicious. The staff are great and the place is locally owned.

Decided to give this place a try tonight with my sister and we absolutely loved it. We had the wings, which were awesome, they were perfectly crispy and the sauce was delish. We also had the margherita pizza with pepperoni and it was amazing by far best pizza I've had in a long time. The crust is perfect not to thick or thin just perfect. We ended with the tiramisu which was delicious also. The icing on the cake to this place was the friendly owners who were attentive and courteous. We will definitely be frequent customers!

Been a regular since 2002. I don't know what the other reviewer is saying in regards to sitting outside and not even being offered water. First, I have been going there since they opened in 2002. I am always offered something to drink especially if there is a wait (inside and outside).
Any restaurant worth going to is going to have a wait or they wouldn't be so crowded. That is why people go there, for the great food! Since the space is small and the focus (to me) is on great food and personal service, I would imagine that they aren't rushing people out so that they can get more people in. That is something to be commended not scolded. This is the type of service we used to have back in the day before all the restaurant chains and impersonal service some of us experience now. The owner and his family, go out of their way to make sure that you are happy and that is why they have so many repeat customers.
I can tell you one thing, I haven't been offered water while waiting outside at Outback Steakhouse, Red Lobster or any other chain that has no idea who you are. The only thing I have been offered at those places is a PAGER!
Bottom line: this is a small, family owned restaurant with fantastic food, and great service nestled in Ahwatukee ("the worlds largest cul de sac" as referenced by Wikipedia at http://www.goo.gl/BmZaX). If you want more than that then bring a bottle of water with you, this is after all Arizona. Most people know to bring bottled water with them everywhere. Aside from that, if you think the wait will be more than you want to wait then order take out, trust me it is just as good to go as it is to eat it there.

Oh yeah....and their pizza too! Thin crust is chewy and great. Tons of cheese....forget about your diet when choosing this place. When I'm in the mood for sinful, oooey gooey pizza, this is the place.
This is a locally restaurant and the owner is extremely friendly - he wants you to be happy with your meal and service. Can't go wrong.
It's VERY small so either plan on sitting on top of your date, or use their take-out service.
Very good little place... Chef will give you a personal touch on anything you order, just ask... Food can compete with any of the large chains, no problem... And you're supporting a local bufiness... Can't go wrong here.

Bella Italia is fantastico!. During our visit here we had the chance to visit a few little restaurants and shops. Bella Italia made us happy with there selection of foods and more so with their wonderful sangria.

The pizza is good, but the pasta is great and the fried zucchini, and bruschetta is good too!
Pickup order had a pretty long delay (30 minutes) but the restaurant didn't seem busy when I arrived early. All said it was ready at the promised time. Gluten free crust is great, almost multigrain quality. Much better than many typical gluten free crusts. Great flavor in the prosciutto and fig! Would definitely recommend this spot.
The service here was great. The girl serving us was very attentive and personable.
My friend and I ordered lasagna and gnocchi. And two meatballs with sauce. The lasagna was really good had nice texture and flavor.
When I ate the meatballs with a marinara sauce, that marinara sauce was amazing. Tasted like it was made with cherry tomatoes. And yes the meatballs were good tender juicy.
My friend ordered the gnocchi I had a taste of that and it was good but not as good as my lasagna. The next time I go back I'm going to order extra sauce and put that on everything.
The salad was fresh and they had fresh shaven cheese. It made the salad.
I wasn't a fan of the bread it was a darker crust and had an overpowering taste of like it was burnt.
For dessert I ordered the tiramisu and it was great. Definitely homemade.
If you are looking for thin crust pizza, this is probably the best in a 5-10 miles radius. Consistent service and quality throughout the years.
Small local place that serves a straight forward (non pretentious) Italian menu. Ambience is minimal, maybe even a bit too dark. Our server was friendly, responsive and not too intrusive. The food quality was excellent: simple salad made with fresh ingredients; shrimp scampi was flavorful and done just right... Not under or over cooked. I only wish I had more of an appetite to have tried their pizza which looked pretty good.
Best service ever I would advise only eating the normal pizza. The clam pizza might be the worst pizza of all time appetizers not very good either but their pepperoni pizza was delicious and again I’ll say the best service ever.
We absolutely loved this place, my wife and I were on trip to the west coast and we stopped through Phoenix, and we came across this place by pure happenstance. We got seated and looked over the menu. Alot of Italian options to choose from. I had a beer from Italy and my wife ejoyed the house sangria, which she absolutely feel in love with. We will be taking a return trip just for the food and services that we provided to us.
I stopped in for a carry-out pizza on a good feeling. The place was busy, which is always a good sign. The gentleman at the counter was friendly, the price was reasonable, and the wait wasn’t long. We THOROUGHLY enjoyed our pizza, comfortably stuffed with leftovers for tomorrow.
I would recommend Bell’ Italia Pizzeria to anyone looking for great pizza in Ahwatukee.
Food was very good. Had enough spice to give some heat to the dish, but not make it uncomfortable. Pasta was very saucy which I loved. Waitress was incredibly kind. Will definitely be back.
Fantastic food! I love this place every time! Small and cozy Italian restaurant with great atmosphere. Definitely try it on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday for pasta night deals!
Our friends introduced us to this restaurant last year and now we delight in dining or getting takeout whenever we visit them. The service is incredibly warm and welcoming - as if you are family. The food is fantastic and they do a wonderful job if you want/need to go “off menu” and get creative. (Gluten free options are available.) I cannot comment on the tempting desserts as I have been too full - great appetizers, fresh salads, pizzas, pasta and I dream of returning just for their vodka sauce - beyond delicious!
I have been here dozens of times over the last five or so years and it is better every time if that is even possible as it was fantastic the first time. I've had about half of everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. The ownership and staff have done a stupendous job of consistent excellence which is rare nowadays. Bravo!
