The pulled pork sandwich was excellent. They give you a generous serving of the pulled pork. My husband had the ribs and brisket which he loved also. Everything seemed nice a juicy. We'll come back again.
Alright, so the place is under new management and they are really doing a great job. Super friendly staff, and the food is delicious. I think the place speaks for itself. Seriously, try the brisket. I definitely recommend and will definitely return!
I have been here twice under new ownership and the food has been fantastic. The restaurant is very clean with friendly staff. I would highly recommend the Westerner sandwich with sliced brisket and pulled pork. If you’re looking for good quality BBQ this is the place to go.
Spare rib dinner was $10.95 on Tuesday special. Included four ribs, one side, bun, and a large drink. Well seasoned and tasty. Great customer service. We had our dinner in minutes.

Friendly, fast, and clean I'd rate 4 to 5. Appearance and portions of food were on bit of the cheap side about 2 to 3. For the amount they charge per plate, I'd say the ribs are best deal, and okra. The rest really small portions of meat. A bit Warning Pulled pork bit blan w/out sauce. They have 3 sauces on the side away from counter. Could use in adding some more greens like ex: green beans.
The serving plate was interesting. On 1 hand I felt like the tray was like an animal would be feed off of or used for cooking only. then on the other hand I get the easy it gives the cleaners to wash and reuse do to nonstick surface. also how there trying to be good for being environmental by using metal surface and not paper. So kudos for thinking outside the box but maybe some nonstick metal plates might be better use here.
You do get free soft serve ice cream that's only extra reason I gave a 4 and not a 3.
I would say this is definitely more of a grab and go place. Good for quick lunch or take home.
Them menu could also take some reorganization maybe should take note of panda express menu idea.

I have to say, this is probably the best tasting barbecue place to eat at . I had a brisket BBQ sandwich and a side Caesar salad. I usually eat brisket sliced, but this time I decided to have it chopped up. Mom and I were the first ones there when it opened, so it really nice and we just sat at ate and visited with each other while eating the most delicious barbecue. Of course we had to have our ice cream cones after the meal, that's another one of my favorites.
The guys here are so nice every time I walk in they greet me and remember my order.. last time they forgot one of my items and when I called to replace it they knew exactly who I was .. manager is super nice
This is under new ownership and the new owners have done a great job! Food is amazing and love the atmosphere. Highly recommend!
I really liked the burnt ends and sides the roll was really soft and a nice take home bag, the gentleman preparing the food was very nice and lady too ringing customers up
The staff were friendly to this 1st timer as soon as i walked up.
Helped me understand the menu and got the order up and delivered quickly.
I ordered the 2 meat plate, with pulled pork and sliced beef brisket.
In my opinion,
The pulled pork works best with the spicy bbq sauce,
And the beef brisket works best with the original.
The pork ribs have a sweet, brown sugar glaze taste to them, and the meat just falls off the bone.
Large assortment of sides,
And even a free soft serve ice cream maker for cones as dessert.
The only complaint,
Is that for the price, the servings are not generous, but you could say the quality makes up for it.
I was here approximately a year ago and I enjoyed it, but I recently came back to Peoria to visit a friend and I dined here again. The restaurant was very clean and the service was exceptional! I had the sandwich and it was delicious. I also tried the brisket and it was made to perfection. I spoke to the manager Brandi and she was very polite. She was talkative and didnt act like i was bothering her with my small talk. Johnny took our order and he was just as friendly. I wish more restaurants were like this one.
