It has been awhile since I come here. Normally, our Cambodian community comes here for wedding reception and the food was always delicious. I decided I wanted to drive out here and reconnect with this restaurant again. The food remains the same delicious food as I remember. Give it a try if you are close!
I have been coming here for more than two decades, their Dim Sum on the weekends in unbelievable. Moreover there is nothing on the menu that will not meet your pallets saturation. Coming from a New Yorker who always ate in China Town, this is a really good compliment... take it from me, this place is a must go to if your a local or just visiting.. Larry
Having lived in Shanghai for three years and I can most definitely say this place meets the standard for Chinese food! My family has been coming for years and when I moved back and came back to this place, I appreciated it so much more. I will for sure need to come back for dim sum on the weekend. Keep in mind that western food service is different then Asian food service, so it’s not that the service is terrible, it’s that it’s different from what we are use to. Also could barley snap a pic because everyone started grabbing right away
Best Dim Sum, Cantonese, Hong Kong style cuisine in Phoenix. I used to come with my friends at this place years before Covid. It’s been almost 8 years since I had lunch here, but it still impressed my stomach today even after living in San Francisco Bay Area for years with so many Dim Sum places.
The classic Chicken Feet with Black Bean is so tasty and mouthwatering. It remains some tenderness while making it very soft taste with a great balance of salty and mildly spicy. Chinese Broccoli with Oyster Sauce is impressive. I am big meat lover and usually forget to eat veggies for days, and I finish 80% of this veggie dish in one minute. It’s so crunchy and tender. I will keep updating my reviews in my future visit.
Their desserts are really good. It’s very different from American popular desserts that heavily adding butter, sugar and salt. They have all sorts of options to explore different flavors with spectrum of sweetness.
The price very reasonable in my opinion. After crazy Covid era, everything’s price goes up. We ate a lot of stuff today and the final price didn’t surprise us at all. One more thing, the tip option on the credit card machine ranges between 15%, 18% and 20%. Much better than some restaurants to start with 20% even though it might have zero service…
First time at Great Wall! Typically I have dim sum in mesa but Great Wall is a good alternative. The place was very busy Labor Day Monday but we were seated within 15 minutes. The food was fast since they’re on carts. I don’t know if we came at a bad time or not but options were limited. Seating was a bit cramped and the sticky rice we had was cold. You have to ask for chili oil if you like that. I’d say good in a pinch but if you have time to head out to mesa I would choose the latter.
Little sad that we missed dimsum hour, but also happy to try their other food. They were all super great, we liked the donut-like thing too
Authentic dim sum experience. Food is great and umami and has many tea options. Weekend might be busy and average wait time is about 20-30 mins if you go on lunch time. I recommend go earlier on weekends or just go on anytime weekday. Also recommend to try other item on the menu. The roasted duck is perfection and the chef also cooks seafood very well. Highly recommend.
Service: not the best compare to other restaurants. If you know you know, if it’s an authentic Asian food then service won’t be the best lol
The first time we visited a dim sum place in Phoenix. We also ordered shrimp vegetables stir fry and enjoyed both of them.
It wasn't no waiting time on Satarday at 1pm.
One of the best dim sum in Phoenix. We can pick dim sum from the cart and the waitress will check our order from the ticket. Fast service. A la crate menu also available.
I would recommend ordering the stuffing streamed tofu, roasted duck, and pork ribs. I was not impressed with the tribes (it was quite smelly).
OMO!!!
This place is amazing. It was my first time here, and I have passed this place a million times over. I'm sad to say and admit that I have ignored this place. You see, I love Chinese food. I will travel the distance to eat good food.
Everything we ordered was delicious 😋. We decided to dine for 2 Sichuan style that included hot and sour soup, appetizers (egg rolls, butterfly shrimp, and cream puffs), Kung pao shrimp 🍤, and Mongolian beef.
We didn't expect large portions at all. Soup was large and it served 7 cups of soup. We finished it. I'm not a big fan of hot and sour but it was too good not to eat. Shrimp was plump and tender to eat. Beef was so tender and easy to eat.
The best part was the orange slices at the end of dinner. I have been to other restaurants that give orange slices, and it felt like it was only for Asian diners. I always felt cheated. I'm so grateful to be included this time.
Great service and friendly servers. I would like to try dim sum next time. Thank you for the wonderful experience and making it special for us.
Happy eating 😋 and dining. 😊
