Timberwood Grill at The Island in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Cameron was our wonderful server. Food was excellent! Ordered (1) fried shrimp with lemon basil rice and sweet potato fries and (2) smothered steak tips with mashed potatoes and crispy onions. Also had the fried mushrooms appetizer and two sweet teas. Everything was very good. We went in mid-afternoon and there was no wait to be seated. Highly recommended! Can't wait for our next vacation to eat here again!

First time here we loved it the cocktails, food, desert were outstanding. The staff was 5 star all the way. We sat at the bar had a great time. We had strawberry cake for dessert both my wife and I thought it was the best cake we ever had. If you haven’t tried this place I would highly recommend it to everyone. We had several adult drinks each, dinner and desert and it was worth every penny. We will definitely return.

Stopped in for a late lunch and found the restaurant to be very nice. It's decorated with a hunting theme and it looks cool. We were seated right away and our server Damien was very knowledgeable about the menu, even bringing samples of the local brewed beer for my husband to better choose. We tasted loaded potato cracklins for the first time and loved it. Lots of options on the menu, you won't be sorry for eating here.

We arrived just after 11am on a Saturday morning. It was pretty dead, no issue being seated right away. Food came out promptly and everything was very good. Highly recommend the "Gold Nuggets" appetizer!

The front staff girls seemed like they had a long busy day but they were super sweet. Our waiter bartender was super busy and amazing at his job. We had fried mushrooms as an appetizer. They were big shrooms with a slight season in the breading. The Bourbon Salmon was delish with rice, broccoli and baked beans. It's a must try. My husband had the steak, french fries, the Mac & cheese and said it was good. The drinks came in a huge cup. I recommend the sweet tea. The atmosphere was quaint and cozy. It has a big stuffed bear in the waiting area that was cool to see. For our meal and drink with a tip was about $100.

Been here twice, both times were very pleasant experiences. Awesome brisket sandwich!!!!! Also highly recommend the sweet potato fries with their marshmallow cinnamon dipping sauce. Burgers always good also! Recommend the nachos as appetizer, large portions.

Overall we had a good experience, the fans were turned up since it was hot out which made it a little cold inside. It was very clean, dirty tables were picked up quickly after people left. Our food came at decent time after ordering and we had no complaints on taste.

The chicken sandwich was good, and so was the burger also. No complaints at all. It was just mid. Next, I would try somewhere else, though. It wasn't so good that I would only eat here every time I'm at the island.

First time eating here, we arrived on a Sunday around 6ish. We only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table for two. I liked that they text you when your table is ready, so you can look around some shops while you wait. The food was delicious, I highly recommend the queso. I had the Blue Ridge Chicken Sandwich and my husband had the macaroni burger, both were so good. My only complaint is they don’t have Duke’s mayonnaise.

I had a vegan burger with a side of sweet potato fries. Boy was it good! Our beautiful waitress was well mannered made sure we were okay! Restrooms were clean! We had to wait on our table but it wasn’t that long. Less than 10mins it was worth it!

My family enjoyed our meal here! This place has tons of seating so we got right in when other places at The Island were outside waiting. Our server was Jamie E. and I'd like to give recognition to her service. She really made it a great experience.
The food was good! We loved the fried pickles, the little fried Mac bites, steak was great, my crispy buffalo sandwich was delicious! We don't drink but it looked like they serve big mug-style cold beers for those looking for that.
The ambiance is relaxing and just what you need after meandering The Island. Dim lights, woodsy, music not too loud 👍
The only thing I would mention that could be better is there aren't enough bathrooms. There was a continual line at the ladies room. I guess you could leave the restaurant and go to a different one within The Island in a pinch.
Oh and the mashed potatoes were disappointing. They look like they'll be good but meh. There are lots of other better options for the sides so I'd go with something else.
We'd definitely stop in to try more options the next time we're in town because it was difficult to choose from all of the delicious options.

Good American cuisine located in the middle of The Island shopping center. Even during the dinner rush, we were seated right away. Nice drink menu, and while the rest of the menu isn't huge, everything we tried was very good. Nice, creative options throughout the menu as well.

Our experience at Timberwood Grill was amazing! The restaurant was clean, staff was very kind, and the atmosphere was fun and interesting. Our food was really excellent! The prices were comparable to Margaritaville, but the food quality was MUCH higher. The staff we interacted with were actually so nice that we ate here two nights in a row! One of the best dinning experiences we had while on vacation for sure.

The menu wasn't that extensive but we managed to order the steak with mushrooms and gravy and the brisket sandwich. The steak was cooked perfectly and the whole dish was great. The brisket sandwich was overpowered by the bbq sauce. Service was quick and our server was great!

I was excited to try something new and they didn't disappoint! The fried mushrooms were amazing! I enjoyed the salmon but if you don't like sickeningly sweet fish ask for the glaze on the side. It was cooked to perfectly and my friends steak and shrimp were cooked perfectly too! I definitely recommend!

Ate here for the 1st time, loved the decor and the atmosphere. Was a mix between a sports bar and a up scale restaurant. Seated immediately and was waited on within the minute. It was around 4:30 and it was pretty packed.
My wife and I both got the Strip with baked potato and Mac and Cheese. The potato was huge and the M&C was a good portion. Steak was cooked perfect for each of us, mine Medium and hers Well (yuk lol) and age didn't have to send it back like other Steaks.
Its on the Island in Pigeon Forge, we recommend it. Bill was $78.00 not bad considering it's Pigeon Forge.
Just another note, we seen them taking Cheeseburgers to other tables, they was huge.

We had a large part of 9 on a Wed night and got seated rt away. Service was fast. Food was good. Their side salad was the best thing. So much bacon on it too. Everyone liked their food.

The atmosphere when you first walk in is underwhelming, but comfortable, the food was a bit pricey, but after I sat down, our waiter made it worth it.<br/><br/>Friendliest waiter I’ve ever had, not overly talkative, but really smooth and seamless dining experience, he made it happen and his timing was great; he was an absolutely flawless waiter. If you’re looking for him, I had to call to get his name, but he goes by J.R or Ed, oddly.<br/><br/>The food exceeded my expectations, I’m a vegetarian and I’m not a huge fan of mushrooms, so it’s always a struggle for me, but there sides were great and the macaroni and cheese bites were probably the best I’ve ever had.<br/><br/>Let me reiterate these macaroni and cheese bites, they were gooey and cheesy on the inside, not even a little bit of the filling was over cooked, the outside was crunchy, and it tasted exactly like I imagine fried macaroni and cheese bites were supposed to taste before other lackluster attempts from casual dining and fast food ruined it for me. You should seriously get these.

Place is cool however the service was awful! I am in the service industry and when you hear a host complain about guests coming in the door at 8:30 when they close at 11 there is initially an issue. The poor service continued with the bartender ignoring us to the point of us having to get his attention just to order a drink and actually receive a menu. This wouldn't have been an issue if we weren't the only guests at the bar! This bartender continued to be absolutely awful the remainder of our visit. I do not recommend to anyone looking for decent service.

Wow. I mean... Wow. This is the worst service I have ever gotten. I want to lead with stating the place was a ghost town so there is no reason for what happened to transpire. Our waitress took our order, or so I thought... By what transpired next I think she was just doodling ponies or something, and it was all downhill from there. <br/>We ordered the fried Mac and cheese which comes with a jalapeño ranch that we did not want. When it hit the table, I asked the woman who served it to us (not our original server) to please bring some standard ranch which she smiled and acknowledged and then promptly went about doing whatever her job there is, minus the part that entails getting customers the stuff they ask for. <br/>The fried Mac and cheese was actually quite good and it's a pity we couldn't get that regular ranch we wanted to enjoy it with. <br/>Next, came our burgers... Not remotely how we ordered them. No onions on either. Add cheese on one. Maybe the mix up happened because we were served by a third person who was not our server and she had trouble translating the pony drawings into a coherent order.<br/>I've worked in the food service industry. Mix ups happen. I was still trying to be patient and kindly asked for the order to be corrected. The burgers came back still missing a slice of cheese. When our original waitress finally came to check on the handiwork of her hard working coworkers, she'd been pretty busy flitting around and doing not a whole lot other than avoiding serving us, there wasn't much of an apology. I mentioned the cheese and she offered to take the burger in the back and have them melt the cheese on it. No thanks. We already sent it back once. I know line cooks. They already hate us because of your mistake, overly exaggerated cat eye makeup waitress. Just bring us the cheese. Also she made no attempt to refill my water which remained empty the entire meal. <br/>It became pretty clear she knew she'd goofed. She knew we weren't happy, and she just wanted to turn the table and get her tip. She gave us the check before we were even half way through the meal. There were so many times someone... ANYONE could have turned this really quite delicious meal around for us with better service. There were zero attempts... From anyone. It's a shame the service wasn't as good as the food.

The service is poor. The server forgot our salads! The menu has changed drastically since July. Overall much simpler and just like all the other chains. The food isn't bad and portions are fair.

Awful. We waited 10 minutes before someone even came and took our drink orders, and then it was one of the hostesses that took it. Our waitress only made 2 apperances and our drinks were never refilled. The food was sub par, and completely overpriced for what it was. We will NEVER be going back.

The service was adequate but the food was hit and miss (amongst the same entree). My wife and I had the TWG steak which is 3 steak medallions and 2 sides. We each had one properly cooked medallion and one tasty side.

Seated immediately on arrival. Appetizer (fried macaroni & cheese bites) arrived promptly & did not last long. Part of steak was over cooked (well done-medium well instead of medium). 2/3rds of steak was prepared as ordered and seasoned well. Mashed potatoes with gravy was quite tasty. Mixed corn seemed straight from can. Wife really enjoyed Smoked Salmon Salad. Would recommend and likely will return.

This was the anniversary of our first visit to this restaurant...for the most part, our experience was the same (read our review from 12 months prior)...lack luster service but tasty food...once they get it right! There were only 10 other tables with guests and the service was still lacking.<br/><br/><br/>-----16 Mar, 2014-----<br/><br/>TWG is a good addition to the area, but they still need some improvement. The kitchen was very slow and our waitress was not familiar enough with the menu to recognize my order was incorrect, even after sending back a second time it was still wrong. What did come to the table had a good flavor.

Decent food, good service. Not a bad place, they had a friendly staff. Food is good. Decent beer selection. I had a Saw Works Pale Ale. Pretty good. I saw several tables around that had meals that looked good. we had chili, prosperity sandwich, and kids Quesadillas. chili was good. Chunks of steak and beans in a heavy cumin-based sauce. Prosperity sandwich was turkey, ham covered with cheese served open-faced. I'd have like the meat grilled before topping the bread. It was cold. The sandwich was good. Kids scarfed down the Quesadillas, so they passed the test. 3 of 5 stars. Nothing super special, but solid American fare.

Awesome!!!. First time to eat here. It was awesome! Myself, my wife and our son had the Bison burger, they were great. Our daughter had the lumberjack stack ( club sandwich ), she loved it also. We will be back!

Great new restaurant in the Pigeon Forge area. The food and service was awesome. The corn dodger appetizer is to die for and I believe my meatloaf was the best I've ever had. The whole family loved it. We will definitely be repeat customers. Give this place a try!
