Great place. Love the vibe, and the service was impeccable. Even the people who were not serving us were friendly and nice. The food was great with good portions. Again, everyone was amazing. Great place for a date night or just to hang out. Their seating is comfortable and accommodating as well. Parking may be your only issue, but they do have valet. 10 out of 10.

We had a fantastic experience for lunch at Casbah! The service was perfect and quick, the food was delicious and perfectly cooked (I had the Long Island Duck with gnocchi - photo here - and my wife had the Saffron Papperadelle with lobster). It was indeed a pricey meal, but I mean it when I say it's worth the cost. Parking is a bit tricky so give yourself time to park or splurge on the valet. Casbah is 10/10 highly recommended!

Excellent service and arm with delicious food. Highly recommend a reservation for the weekend. The menu is simple but it includes enough choices for anyone. The salmon was cooked to perfection. So was the steak. There was four of us in our party. We all enjoyed our dinner and cocktails. A must go if you're visiting Pittsburgh

Casbah is a Pittsburgh staple. I came here for the first time this summer and enjoyed it. Some of it feels a bit overpriced however, the ingredients are mostly seasonal and local. I enjoyed my cocktail and the conversation Olive assortment was lovely as well.

Casbah has two ambiance offerings: a 'cozy cave-like' realm and an open 'courtyard' realm (enclosed with walls lined with exotic, tall plants and covered with a translucent roof). But these features cannot rival the deliciousness of the food. The sauces are to die for - including on the dessert of bread pudding! There are subtleties galore in all of what I tasted - and I will definitely be coming back for more! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I really enjoyed the semi-outdoor patio area and appreciated that the brunch menu had creative mocktails as well as the usual cocktail offerings. The pre-fixed brunch options were plentiful. Our starter course was delicious, but I did not enjoy the entree as much as I did not enjoy the uncooked mushrooms in the goat cheese/mushroom omelette. Otherwise would highly recommend for a Sunday brunch spot.

Had brunch with a friend here. The $38 course is very much worth it, with a cocktail, an appetizer, and an entree. The meal started with some mini pastries with whipped butter. The taste was regular good for scones, biscuits and such, but size just melts my heart. We had beet salad. They used golden beet instead of red ones, which allowed for a more vibrant presentation. The salad is on the lighter end for taste (or maybe I was just tipsy with my drink lol). We had steak and omelet for entrees. The basic good taste of such dishes are secured but nothing too out there or innovative. Overall, portion is large and service is great. Would recommend having brunch in the exterior part of the restaurant as the interior is probably better for dinner with its lighting. Felt weird sitting in the inner part while it’s day time. Good for treating family or friends to a fancy meal.

It was lovely here. I took a friend for her birthday and Casbah did not disappoint. Busy without feeling crowded. Attentive waitstaff, delicious food, family oriented atmosphere (though I did see a few romantic dates 😉as well). The restaurant is very warm and welcoming inside. The duck and salmon entrees were delicious as well as the bread pudding.

Perfect place, so delicious food and super nice waiter. I have never written google review, but they were the best. Their sour dough was wonderful, and we got perfect glass wine by recommendation.

I've dined here before but never for the Sunday Brunch and it was worth it! I had the "Prix Fixe Brunch" which gave you the choice of a First Course, an Entree, and a Brunch cocktail for $38. I decided on the creamy Tomato Bisque soup, and my favorite dish, the Orecchiette pasta which is made with grilled chicken and dried cranberries in a velvety goat cheese and sage cream sauce! My cocktail of choice was the Sangria and one was all I needed! The only warning I'd give is to be careful when you sit on the deck during a sunny day; you may need to move tables which we did with no problem from the hostess. :) This is a great spot when you are feeling fancy and want to eat fancy!

Casbah is a local institution. A long standing, fine dining, establishment owned by the well known Big Burrito restaurant group. Standing, prominently on Highland Ave. in Shadyside since 1995, Casbah is well respected and cherished by many local, Pittsburgh foodies. And this is for good reason! Casbah is fantastic. The menu is mainly influenced by Mediterranean flavors. Everything is done exceptionally well here. From food to service to cleanliness. On my most recent trip, myself and three others visited for Sunday brunch. We tried a variety of menu items including: the Baba Ghanoush (a smoky eggplant dip), the Mediterranean omelette, steak and eggs and cavatelli with marinara. My absolute favorite bite during this meal was the beet salad. There was an incredible amount of flavor packed neatly into that dish. Just divine. A birthday brunch should end sweetly and it did with creme brulee. Casbah has withstood the test of time and they don't appear to be losing any steam.

My friend and I decided to come here on a Sunday at 1pm. It wasn't crowded so we were able to get a table easily. Parking: the parking is so limited around the restaurant so I was glad to see that they have complimentary valet parking. Food: The Brunch is a set price, you are able to pick a first plate (appetizer), an entree and a brunch drink. They brought us out three types of bread, along with a glass of water, the poppy muffins were so good. I got the salad as an appetizer, two eggs, potatoes, fruit and chicken sausage for brunch and an apricot mimosa as my drink. The food was good and filling. The service was excellent and fast. The waiter was very attentive. I would recommend this place and come back with my husband ☺️.

What a treat! This was our first trip to Casbah and certainly won't be our last. I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to try it. The drinks were well made, the bread and accompanying spreads were good, the calamari was delicious, and the entrees were fantastic. We tried the lobster pappardelle, which was very good (though a bit too seafood-y tasting), and the pork chop, which was cooked to perfection. A pork chop rarely sounds great but my mouth will be watering when I think of this one. Definitely one of the best I've had, right up there with another well known pork chop on Mt. Washington. We skipped dessert because we were bursting at the seams but will absolutely be going back to try more of the menu soon. And to top it off prices were very reasonable. Well worth the trip!

I have lived here for a year and a half and this was by far my favorite meal. The service was great and the food was excellent. I started with a half portion of the short rib ravioli, which was surprisingly a nice size portion and the raviolis were stuffed well which made it more enjoyable. I had the filet mignon for my main course which I loved. It was cooked perfectly and tasted great. I had to try the chocolate bread pudding which my father and I devoured in like 30 seconds. Overall great experience and I will definitely be returning.

Sophisticated. Casbah is a lovely, classy and exceedingly well run Mediterranean restaurant. Free valet parking, superior service, relaxed atmosphere and great food. I loved the feeling of the bar and the lighting in the restaurant. Both my cocktail and my dinner were extremely well prepared. I think my favorite thing was the service, it was just excellent.
