I visited this restaurant for the first time last weekend, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I will definitely be visiting again. The host was told it was my first time, so she guided us through the restaurant and its layout. We sat outside and our server, Savannah was prompt and attentive. We started with the short rib bao buns (my favorite), pork lettuce wraps, and the Soba California rolls. I absolutely loved my Korean-style Miso halibut. My friend enjoyed their teriyaki glazed Scottish salmon. For dessert, we had the corn mochi crumble. That may have been the best dessert I've ever had. It had texture and fresh, robust flavors. Every part of this culinary experience was wonderful, and I highly recommend it to those wanting a cool date night. The ambiance, music, service and food were all wonderful.

Great atmosphere, especially on the lower levels. The food was delicious, the gluten free options are clearly marked in the menu. We ordered Pad Thai and Korean-Style Miso Halibut, both were great. The pad thai is huge portion, we both had a bit and there was still a lot for lunch the next day! We also had to try the Chocolate Maki, of course. The desert wasn't as great as other things, but the presentation is spectacular. A great place!

The food here is fantastic! I've tried a few dishes here and nothing disappointed. I especially love the seared rare tuna. It is delicate and the Korean barbecue sauce works well with the tuna, peanut and sesame. For appetizers the crispy tofu is delicious, as was the tartare. The atmosphere reflects the upscale mood. Well worth a visit!

I visited here for the first time and I will DEFINITELY return. I dined in with a friend and we sat on the terrace. The weather was absolutely beautiful and there was a nice breeze blowing through. We got to watch the sun start to set in the distance. Our server was pleasant and completely attentive throughout our meal. The food was amazing. We had the pork lettuce wraps, fried tofu and the Soba California Roll. The prices were a little high, but given the atmosphere and our entire experience, it was worth it. I highly recommend this place.

Delicious seasonal menu. Halibut and salmon (both raw and cooked) are so tasty. I do wish the halibut came with rice to balance the strong flavors. Lighting is a little dark, but overall great atmosphere and service.

The menu price ranges from $20 to $45 depending on the dish. Food is good, portions are reasonable, and the drinks have a kick to it. Crabcake Eggroll - one large eggroll cut in half, lots of crab meat and diced celery. Very tasty just not a large portion for 20 dollars. Double Salmon Roll - This one is very good with large pieces of salmon on top and within, and the jalapeño heat wasn't bad. Korean Style Miso Halibut - the fish is very tender, the Korean rice cake was a little chewy but still tasty, and then there are 3 bit size roast port which are delicious. The problem with this one is the sauce is very salty and sweet because of the miso, which felt like this dish needs to come with white rice on the side. Duck Fried Rice - this is the best dish out of all. Pieces of duck tight was juicy and tender. The rice has duck meat shredded within along with others things like crispy fried onions, and Asian pear mixed in. This is worth the money. Chocolate Maki - the chocolate mousse has a little salty taste to it and wrap around by a black crepe then you dip it in a dark chocolate sauce which balance everything else. This is also my recommendation. So if you are looking for a fancy dark quiet place to dine then I would recommend it. Food is tasty overall, service is very caring, but just don't except a great view or anything. Oh one last thing, to access the bathroom you will need to go down some stairs so take that into consideration when you go here.

I’ve been to many amazing Asian restaurants, but this just might take the prize as the best one I’ve ever been to. Let’s start with the overall aesthetic at the restaurant. It was amazing. I enjoyed just looking around. Best feature though is a toss up between the staff and the food… both were out of this world. The pad Thai was to die for, and the drunken noodles will change your life. The steamed pork dumplings are something you don’t want to miss out on either. Our amazing server Dalya (spelling?) helped us choose everything including delicious cocktails to compliment our food. The food voodoo was my favorite! However the servers were not the only amazing staff. Talya (spelling?) the hostess was amazing and carried herself so professionally and politely. All in all very member of the staff tonight was exceptional and I wish I could thank them all by name. 6 out of 5 stars.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff, very cautious about covid. The crispy tofu is awesome. Drinks are also good here. The main course is so so, not great. We ordered the fried rice mushroom and pad thai; I've had better in other places. I would recommend this place for special occasions for couples.

Soba has been a favorite for many years. We visited again on Sunday evening, after not having been to Pittsburgh for several years. The atmosphere is truly extraordinary. It is open, stylish, and inviting. We had cocktails that were exceptionally good. It is pretty easy to find good cocktails, but great cocktails are rare. Soba's cocktails knocked our socks off. My wife and I ordered two appetizers and an entree. The steak kabobs were excellent, particularly the sauce paired with the kabobs. The short ribs with bao buns were very good, though the buns were just a bit dry. Our entree, the Pad Thai with shrimp, chicken, and tofu, was very good, though the chicken was somewhat overcooked. Our server was very good. She got everything right and she was attentive without being overly so. If I were reviewing Soba irrespective of cost, I would give it a five star rating. However, it is pricey. At these price levels, I expect all elements of the experience to be nearly perfect. There are very few restaurants that are this good, but Soba could still do better by paying a little more attention to a few details. Even so, this is probably one of the best restaurants you will experience in Pittsburgh

The vibe of the restaurant is amazing. Great place for a date or meeting with coworkers. Strongly recommend their Chirashi bowl and their chocolate sushi dessert. This place gets 5/5 for amazing taste, price, and vibe.

We came here to celebrate our birthdays and loved our dinner. Everything looked so good we decided to order a few sushi rolls and several small plates and everything was delicious. Get the Chilean Sea Bass, you won't regret it. Our server recommended the Shrip Tempura I believe, and it was also fantastic. Service was great and the atmosphere was perfect for our special night. I would definitely recommend Soba!

The Thai corn and crab chowder hit the spot on a cold day. Delicious flavors and the Japanese curry flavors gave it a bit of a kick. The only thing I wish, the temperature was a bit hotter. It was nice to have chunks of crab meat in the soup, however, the curry definitely overpower it, so you don’t taste the crab much, but still very good. I also got the chirashi bowl. The sashimi was good and refreshing with the avocados. The rice under the sashimi was a bit salty, I wish they left the rice plain and warmer rice... but see my pictures, it was still good

Lovely ambience and food was absolutely phenomenal! The salmon roll had large slices of fish and the textures worked really well together, the steak cubes on the beef skewers were so tender. The black cod dish was absolutely to die for, the broth was so rich and flavourful (take it a step up and order a side of jasmine rice). Finally the chocolate pretzel stack was hands down one of the best desserts I have ever had.I wouldn't order the pork dumplings again but overall a wonderful experience, would 110% recommend for a date night.

I have a bit to say about this establishment... Pros: Comfortable lighting, noise setting and seating. Relatively convenient location next to a wonderful hidden Japanese market. Clean environment. Welcoming staff. Surprisingly short wait times for food. Immediate table with no reservation. Above average waitress. Delicious, fresh food. Cons: Parking is scarce. Final summation: I will 100% be returning. We arrived in street clothes, a little wary of being frowned upon but when we entered, that was far from the case. Our waitress, I believe her name was Denae, was overly welcoming and knowledgeable about everything on each menu. She made our visit stand out entirely. We had the shaking beef, which was cooked to such perfection, the meat almost spread like butter. As well as the shrimp and lobster noodles and the winter duck; both of which were absolutely decadent. With a gogi cocktail that opened the tastebuds to a plethora of palates, it was a fine dinner. Ending the night out with the banana split; today's flavors were condensed milk, milk chocolate and honey hibiscus ice cream. All three so vastly different but delicious. The banana bread was a bit dry and didn't get to shine much in the desert but still notable as a texture change. The handmade whipped cream as another texture came in quite nicely, seemingly unsweet. The star of the show, and my personal favorite, is without a doubt the caramelized banana. Warm to the tongue, the perfectly ripe, soft fruit melted away under the satisfying crunch of the crystallized sugar. I'm already dreaming of my next visit!
