WOWZERS!! These sandwiches/burgers were HUGE! I’m not sure if it is a Pittsburgh things or what. These sandwiches are a must try! We came in at 8 on a Friday and got a table!! Nice little spot. Lots of college kids! Good beer and friendly staff. We sat up on the second floor and enjoyed everything! There was lots of art on the walls and cool signs. They did have one vegetarian option, a black bean burger! A grilled cheese too! If you’re in the area and need a good bite to eat. Check this spot out!!

They offer massive sandwiches - stuffed with meat, cheese, coleslaw, tomato, & fries at good prices. You can also get drinks here as well. Definitely a good late night spot or a quick lunch visit.

Quick, inexpensive food and drinks. I honestly don't know how people eat these sandwiches. I practically had to unhinge my jaw before finally disassembling it and using utensils. Fries come on the salad. As a Southern, I was surprised to discover the slaw is vinegar based rather than mayo based. All in all, it was a fun, unique experience but not the best food. I enjoyed the mural and artwork.

I love this place! The first time I went was September 2016. After my trip, they brought a location to Michigan (2 actually). They just abruptly closed both locations and for why I will never know. This was very disappointing news. I think their food is great and they offer a good selection of beer on tap.

After hearing from my friends who are in Pittsburgh that this place was overrated, I'd like to strongly disagree with them. In the matter of fact, I was extremely impressed. I came in for lunch, and it was surprisingly quiet for such a well-known place to eat. All I can say is get the Rueben - it is so damn good. The fries do a really good job of adding texture to the sandwich. They also definitely don't skimp on the meat- there might be too much actually. Pricing is also very fair - expect to pay around $15 after tax + tip for a sandwich.

No longer living in Pittsburgh this the truly Pittsburgh sandwich. The Pittsburgher with a burger and fries and coleslaw between two pieces of bread is coming home. I remember going to the Strip and getting sandwiches years ago.

No trip to Pittsburgh is complete without a stop to Primanti Bros. And let me tell you, it is DEFINITELY worth the hype! The food is absolutely amazing and pretty affordable. The staff are very friendly and very quick too. This was an above and beyond experience. Will be back.

I have eaten here probably way too much and will keep doing so until my doctor tells me to. The portions here seem generally smaller than other locations in my experience. They often have issues with gift cards and rewards points. However, for the money, it’s more than worth it to me.

Having moved away, it's been thirty ish years since I last had a Primanti bros sandwich, and it's still as tasty as ever. Sure, slaw and fries in the sandwich may seem a little gimmicky, but it goes together well and you can see how it would have been convenient for workers/drivers in the strip district. Anyway, it's a busy sports bar. And a bit of Pittsburgh history, though you might not be able to tell since they're busy selling sandwiches and aren't trading on their local fame. Maybe the original shop in the strip district will have more memorabilia type of stuff. The Oakland one doesn't... And doesn't have room for it. IIRC the Oakland location was their first expansion out of the strip district. Now they have many locations in the greater Pittsburgh area.

The family went on an impromptu trip to Pittsburgh and stopped in for a late lunch. Busy place but well worth it! I got a cup of chili and some delicious mozzarella wedges. The little wanted chicken tenders and fries. And all I can say is WOW! The New Yorker is what my man got. Super messy and very good! We enjoyed the friendly staff and enjoyed sitting at the bar to watch all the action! Thank you Primanti Bros. For lunch!

An awesome grassroots Pittsburgh experience. You can't get a full Steel City experience without Primanti Bros. This is my favorite location.

Meat and cheese sandwich, white bread, with fries and Cole slaw.....also ON the sandwich. Makes for interesting experience, both delicious and messy. I confess I pulled off most of the fries and ate separately.
