Rated number 1 again as best Indian restaurant in Pittsburgh. I concur because it is some of the best tasting Indian food I have ever had. Love the Buffet for lunch and dinner. You get to try a lot of different foods and not all are spicy. By far one of the best places to eat in the North Hills!

Also the buffet is served on Monday and Thursday nights as well. I have probably eaten here well over 75 times...maybe more. Not only is the food delicious but the service is a delight. I tried lamb chops, chicken kebabs, they are excellent. Chefs will cook as per your taste. Deserts are mouth watering, they have wide variety of appetizers and Deserts. I do think they do have buffet on all days, and dinner buffet is just on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. They do cater for lot of events, i saw them Cooking food onsite during some events. They make fresh naans, tasty kababs, Jalebi, and appetizers. Visit once to try authentic Indian food. Bet you!! You will not be disappointed.

#1 Indian Restaurant in Pittsburgh! Amazing food and staff. Extensive vegetarian menu. If you are a new-comer, expect to become a regular. Everyone is family here. Things to try: fried appetizers, any of the curries, and special Indian desserts. And they offer spice levels for everyone, from zero to ten.

It was our first time here at Taj Mahal, and we absolutely enjoyed not only the delicious food, but also the friendly staff. My husband enjoyed eating his Shrimp kebab and I enjoyed my curry chicken tika masala. Thank you, chef Javad, for cooking such delicious food.

First time in this city looking for Indian food and found this gem. Overall great food with good Indian flavors. It was nice to see folks form various cultures dining here, not just from India. I just knocked down a star for the sour coconut chutney and tardy cleanup.

Best Indian food in the Pittsburgh area. Seriously id lick the floor of this place if it had curry sauce on it. Omg the mango ice cream they pass around during the buffet is AMAAAAZING. Everything is amazing here. Can't go wrong with anything.

This is the most varied and delicious Indian buffet I have ever tried. I am amazed at how many things they offer, from goat curry to tandoori chicken to paneer saag and baingan bharta, indo-asian fusions like hakka noodles and fried rice, to desserts like gulab Jamun, rice and mango pudding, and cream of wheat + semolina cake... So delicious! When I asked a server what the liquid was for (first photo), she told me it was an appetizer and she offered to make me it. Every person was so nice and helpful. The man (I believe the owner?) instructed me to mix the rice pudding with the gulab jamun and it was delicious! The rose flavor from the rice pudding mixed with the gulab was the perfect combo. My favorite dishes were the chickpea curry, the paneer saag, and the malai kofta. You definitely won't regret coming here!

Pretty good Indian cuisine and the food is served fairly fast which I liked. The staff and manager here are friendly. One thing to note is that their proportions are very generous. No one in my group could finish and we all boxed our leftovers. We came as a group where everyone ordered their own curry and shared couple appetizers and nans. Would come again

Our server, Praneeth is very kind and attentive. I LOVED the buffet. Everything was very fresh and extremely tasty. I don’t know very much about Indian cuisine, but I felt welcome here and it was approachable. There were helpful signs describing the options. Can’t wait to come back!

My recent experience at Taj Mahal hotel was nothing short of extraordinary, blending exquisite dining with exceptional service. The ambiance added to the overall experience, creating a perfect setting for a memorable evening. What truly elevated my experience was the impeccable service provided by Ahmed the dedicated staff member who assisted us throughout the evening. Ahmed's offering insightful recommendations and ensuring every aspect of our dining experience was flawless. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction were truly commendable. The food itself was a revelation—fresh, flavorful, and presented with artistic flair. This place is highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a culinary adventure accompanied by top-notch service.

Great “home cooked” style food with almost no floating oil !! Main dishes in the buffet were cooked to perfection–not too spicy. Deserts were awesome as well–not to sweet and well prepared. Staff was polite and service was quick. Our favorite joint in the Pittsburgh area.

Tonight enjoyed the buffet! The food was delicious! The service area was clean and organized! The servers were courteous and excellent in their timing! They were also accommodating as we were able to bring in a birthday cake to share at our table. They even played Happy Birthday and offered to take a video/photo for us. We had a lovely experience and we will return! And we will keep recommending!

I tried the buffet here and was very pleased with the variety of the food offered. 20 or so dishes on offer, including standbys and some I'd never had before. All were very tasty and I was so pleased to see a child's option as well, which they added in the last 2 months according to the staff. I will be back especially because of the children's option!

This place is good. I will come again and again. Enjoyed the buffet with a pal, enjoyed the buffet with a pal... Feeling funny though after the meal.. but in a good way if that makes sense.. I love the way Indian food tastes.. my tongue is dancing.. so I open my mouth to let it free.. because my tongue needs more room to dance.. my taste buds are smiling.. all of them.. not just some .. I've left the restaurant at this point .. but the taste of India has not left me.. and I don't think it ever will. A hunger has been embedded within me that will never be satisfied by another.. I'm no longer human.. I have become something else entirely..

Had dinner here on a busy Memorial Day evening. The buffet was open and they were doing a roaring business, but we were allowed to order off the menu with no objection when we asked to. Ordered chicken kadhai, chicken tikka masala (both came with rice), naan, and mango lassi. All were excellent! "Medium" spicy on the kadhai packed a punch.

This is one of my family’s favorite places to dine in(buffet). If you coming to Pittsburgh or already staying here, this is one of the must go Indian restaurants. So many varieties of food including veg and non veg. Trust me one visit not enough to Eat all of them. I tried doing in couple of visits to taste all kind of food but still not successful.. so many varieties of starters along with main course. I was surprised to see the crowds here, more than 90% people come here are American. Only one thing I wish they work on the NAN(bread), I wish they serve Crispy delicious directly on table instead of getting from Stack..
