I’d ordered to-go from here before and been very happy, so I was looking forward to coming in again. It’s nice to have something a little more upscale than Qdoba in town (though don’t get me wrong, I love a good burrito bowl.) My server recommended the Diego Rivera margarita, and it was the perfect blend of sour and sweet with just a mild bitter flavor for balance— very delicious! I ordered the carne asada fajita. The tortillas were a little thick for my personal taste, but very fresh and flavorful. The cilantro rice is delicious, too, and service was friendly and reasonably quick. I saw some people mentioning that they disliked not getting a mountain of chips before their meal, but why would I waste stomach space when the food is so delicious when it arrives? I also enjoyed hearing the servers talk to each other in Spanish— it reminded me of growing up in Southern California. I’ll definitely stop by again.
I was blown away with surprised to find a mexican kitchen and tequila bar with delicious mexican food with the most flavorful margarita and the best latin music hits. Thanks to our fantastic server Fernando Peña who made us feel like family.
Drinks were good, beer selection had some unique ones on it. We had the yucca fries for an appetizer. Delicious and very generous portion! We ordered the barbacoa tacos and the lamb tacos. Both were excellent! Overall a refreshing atmosphere and delicious food. Would highly recommend.
Amazing tacos, I've never been a fan of any kind of slaw in my life, but I can't get enough of the jicama slaw on their tacos. Pork belly tacos here have been amazing every time. Also, they make some great spicy drinks if you're into that! If you come in, ask for Ashley, great server, even better person. #serverappreciationmonth
Sandra was an amazing waitress. Tres Rios is very lucky to have her. The food was great and we will definitely be back soon! Great spot in the south side, I would absolutely recommend!
They had good service and good food, great music. Our server Morgan recommended the Frida Kahlo drink and it was very enjoyable. This is my submission for server appreciation month and I hope if my review is selected she gets a raise... Or like a free drink after her shift
Best quac I’ve had in a long time. Lamb burrito and duck tacos!!! Are you kindling me? Empanadas to die for. Good thing I had a D.D. because the drinks were awesome.
Great food. The menu has a good variety and staff is very pleasant. Highly recommend it.
Loved it!! The place was busy while we were there, but i loved the food and service!! Madison our server was great!
The people are wonderful, the service is attentive, the food is trendy good, the beer cold, the tequila selection includes my particular favorite, and they have all the colors of the rainbow worth of Jarritos flavors. Buen provecho.

Pleasantly surprised with this place. Popped in for $2 tacos and ended up stuffing 6 in my face. The Pato tacos are the best I’ve ever had.
Great food definitely different from standard Mexican fare, went w 2 friends and we each had wonderful meals. I could have did w out the loud and fast Mexican music playing but otherwise wonderful food and atmosphere! #serverappreciationmonth thx Ashley
The chicken fajitas and chicken taco were excellent. Husband loved the black beans. Cilantro rice was the best.
Outstanding service
Will definitely be back
Went with the family and was pleasantly surprised. Amazing tacos and empinadas. My lady really enjoyed her burrito. I had duck and pork belly tacos and they didn't disappoint. The sauce with the emphases had an unexpected spiciness (though it could have been on the menu and I missed it). Service was great, too.
Stopped here on a whim looking for takeout but since no one else was there ate inside.
The drinks, food, and desserts were amazing. It seems like a blend between authentic Mexican with a little American kick.
We had the Mexican Street corn, pork belly tacos, barbacka tacos, and cheesecake chimichanga.
Part of Gary and Nate's Taco Tour Pittsburgh... the tacos were pretty solid, liked the creative fillings, especially the duck. Fish taco was average at best. Happy hour is the time to go, $2 tacos and a good price on drafts. Nice bar with good craft selection. The place is Tastefully decorated.
Really great food and drink! We went during a pretty slow time and everyone was very attentive. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful.
I think the owner(?) ended up making my SO's drink-- a jalepeno margarita-- and it was actually very good!! (To my surprise!) Was also very surprised by the beet tacos- everything was phenomenal!
Bartender was such a sweetheart and made some amazing recommendations when we were having trouble deciding. Crab cake (with jalapenos) torta was amazing, and it wouldn't have been the same without the sauce they give you on the side. Absolutely delicious. (The only complaint I have is the greasy bun... I couldn't really eat it!) The boy loved his carne asada tacos.
What was even more amazing was the Roasted Red Pepper Margarita. I totally recommend 🔥👍
