Best sushi I have had in a long time. Quaint little restaurant, friendly staff, awesome food. It may not be elegant, but the food was amazing. I don’t get to come to Pittsburgh much but this is one of those places I love the visit when I do.

Best sushi in town. Great little place. The hidden gem of downtown. Go before a baseball game and jump on T back to the game.

Best affordable sushi spot in Pittsburgh. I eat here often and am always treated kindly by name. The food is great and the prices are fair. 10/10 recommend!

Came back yesterday for the first time in 7-8 years! SO YUMMY!!! Missed this place! Great sushi that’s a little less expensive than other places in Pittsburgh!

Doing takeout while we visited Marketplace. Constant line inside. Not sure if it should be called a restaurant - can probably seat 15 at most and there was no table service. Everyone just orders their food at the register and wait for food. But there are reasons why people constantly return. Fish is fresh and good! Not as expensive as the other sushi places. Well worth going, even if its only for takeout.

Fast, fresh, and reasonably priced. This downtown spot is a staple for the office crowd. Weekday lunchtime can get pretty crowded but they keep the line moving efficiently and the high volume means the fish is always fresh. Not much room to dine in, so take out is your best bet.

If you work downtown, this is a go to lunch spot. The service is extremely fast and the food is consistent. Though it is not the best sushi, it definitely beats. Most takeout places downtown and regards to service consistency and cleanliness standards. Upheld is out I recommend this

Perfectly fine downtown lunch experience. The spicy salmon and tuna special was a little overpriced considering it was coming apart in my chopsticks but it tasted fine. The service was very friendly which was the best thing going for sushi sushi. The atmosphere was fine for a small downtown joint, and had a small view of the sidewalk but the inside was rather bare. I think that if you have a sushi craving, this place would be fine for it.

Fast, polite service. The food was good, the sushi I thought was better than the spicy tuna roll but that is my preference. I thought the presentation was good and the cost was good. Only recommendation is staying open later than 7pm to give more time for incoming travelers. Otherwise the visit was worth it! Thanks

First time eating at No. 1 Sushi Sushi and it absolutely will not be the last. Hands down some of the best sushi we've had. The sashimi had not even a hint of fish odor--just a slight salty smell--this is a good thing (try the scallop with a slice of lemon!!). The rolls we ordered were incredibly flavorful and well made. We also had the miso soup which was simple but excellent. Everything came out in under 10 minutes and prices were super reasonable considering the quality. It doesn't hurt that the location is right off Market Square downtown which generally has some interesting things going on. We can't wait to go back.

Our order was taken promptly and politely. This place is small with very little seating. We got our order to go and ate outside. The sushi was very good. Our only complaint about the sushi was that it fell apart when we picked it up with our chopsticks. There is not many places to park near the restaurant but we did find a parking garage within walking distance. If you like good sushi, with lots of options, this is a great choice in the city of Pittsburgh.

I was very very impressed with the food here. The sushi is made immediately for you, they offer millions of options it was hard to choose, and their pricing is very affordable. 8 piece sushi for less than $5? That's a deal! They also have indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered a mixed vegetable roll and spicy tuna roll. My friend ordered a social roll and seaweed salad. The seaweed salad was my first time eating it and it was amazing! Best part is, their service is quick! They have tons of people in the bacn rolling constantly, the wait for your order is less than 3 minutes. I did not expect such tasty and affordable sushi in downtown. I'm very impressed! I came here again yesterday and ordere spicy tuna roll, philadephia roll and sea weed salad. Like last time, the food is amazing and I got my order within one minute!
