Alexander's Restaurant - Pittsburgh - Photo album

Didn't start off well given two dirty plates and dirty napkin; then a replacement plate was ALSO dirty. But having survived that, my dinner salad was terrific - made special with candied walnuts and cranberries. Their "build your own pasta" has great selections. I had fusilli with red pepper sauce
Great food. Not super fancy but service was good. The kitchen door was loud as it swung open and shut, so try to sit away from the kitchen. I had goat cheese ravioli and it was soooooo good. Everyone was happy with their meal. We brought our own wine and paid a corkage fee.
Went here for a rehearsal dinner. They have classic Italian food that is pretty delicious. The couple rented out the bottom room and it was accommodating and pretty. The bartender for us and very quick and nice. Definitely worth a trip to this restaurant. The whole place is welcoming and the appetiz
Had a NADA mixed drink that was delicious while we waited for our table. Host was kind and funny. Waitress was excellent. Food was filling and delicious. Had the Bloomfield salad. Rice pudding dessert was okay. I have had better. Tried a bite of my mate's cheesecake. It was creamy and very delicious
Excellent food and service. Sausage pasta with red & white sauce. Beautiful stained glass windows
After several months of trying to get together with friends, we finally had a day that worked for everyone. After the first place we went to wouldn’t honor our reservations, we called Alexander’s and were told they could take us. I’m very happy they could! The food was delicious ( I had the weddi
Stopped on my way for a sleep study at West Penn Sleep Center. Awesome meal. Veal diablo with side of penne in marafrado sauce.
The food was fine, but the bartender/waiter was fantastic. He was so charismatic and made great suggestions. I would go back specially because the service was so good. Also I’m gluten free and they were absolutely fantastic about it. It’s a solid neighborhood restaurant for a nice night out.
The grilled asparagus appetizer comes topped with pesto and tasty goat cheese and is not overcooked or soggy - done just right. I have had the wedding soup appetizer previously and it is good and for an appetizer the portion is generous.. On my last visit I had the Mafalda Alexander which I liked. T
Really seems like a family owned restaurant. Decor isn't amazing but the food and service was great. Their marinara sauce sticks out in my mind as being particularly good. Not sure if it was the owner or manager but he was super friendly and outgoing. The type of place that will get to know you by n
I love Alexander's and frequent here either with family from out of town or dinner dates with my partner. The ambiance is warm and homey and nicely decorated for the holidays. The food is fresh and quality, honestly I'm not sure why people disagree because I've never had anything less than delicious
The meal started with the best house salad I've had in a long time. Our pasta dishes and the veal scampi were so delicious. We ended with the pumpkin mousse that was so light and flavorful. Our server, Raymond, was nice and funny and gave us great recommendations.
Great Italian food! We had quick and courteous service. Everything had a homemade quality...the wedding soup and the marinara sauce were memorable. Don't miss out on the tiramisu!
Discovered this place upon Uber eats deliveries. I placed three orders In which I asked that my meal had no bacon. I received my meal which had bacon, called and immediately was told I would get a new order. All three meals were excellent and once I got my replacement meal I received desert as a bon
We're just finishing dinner at Alexander's. This has been a delightful experience with excellent service from our waiter, Carlo. The Gnocchi Alfredo was beautifully prepared as was the Angel Hair with Marinara and Shrimp. If, and when, we're back in the area, we'll make a return visit!
Good wedding soup. Chicken and asparagus salad was awesome. Tiramisu was to die for! Angel hair pasta and clams was also very tasty. Nice service. Good food. Not a chain!
Good food, good atmosphere, friendly service. Great Italian restaurant to take friends and family to. Dishes aren't overly exotic. Love the calamari and Kemmer carbonara. Also a fan of the scampi and provolone. Bread comes with the meal, which is awesome, and they're happy to send more home with you
