Red Orchid - Pittsburgh - Photo album

I've ordered Drunken Noodles with chicken seven times. And WOW these noodles are incredible!! The first time I also got the sticky rice with custard and I'm not usually someone who likes sweet rice deserts but it was amazing! Same with the tulip dumplings, I love that they are loaded with pepper!!!!
Red Orchid is the best Thai place in the North Hills and possibly in Pittsburgh. I only say possibly because once we started eating here we haven’t tried any other places. Their veggies and meat are always noticeably fresh. The pork is especially delicious. The vegetarian sampler appetizers is our g
We absolutely love getting takeout from Red Orchid. I'd say we've ordered from them several times a month for the last 2-3 years. I'm a huge fan of curry and this place does it very well! My wife and several friends have ordered from nearly every corner of the menu and everything is good-- so we ke
I loved their chicken wings, pineapple fried rice and pad see eew!!! Green curry was ok. Will visit again when im craving thai food😊
The curry and rice were fantastic. Can't wait to return. Authentic Thai food
This place has the makings to be an excellent Thai restaurant. It has a very pleasant ambience, the piped in modern Thai music gives a good vibe. The menu is navigable. While it truly has the great Thai flavors👍👍👍, it’s claim for authenticity is weakened by listings that are not Thai🫤🫤🫤. Cheese (cr
Red Orchid is a restaurant that serves traditional Thai foods. So far, I have eaten inside the restaurant one time, and I plan to visit again in the future. My husband and I enjoyed our samosas, dumplings, and green curry entree, but my husband felt so-so about his fried rice. The employees’ service
There hasn't been anything I have ordered yet that I don't like. I will say if you don't like extra spicy don't order a 10 . I did this first time and it was super hot 🔥. Next time got an 8 and it was still spicy, but good . The rice noodles are my favorite. 😍
This place is large, very clean and the staff was super friendly. All the food we got was excellent and boy do they make it hot here. A level 10 here is a legit 10 if your not used to eating stuff spicy stick to a 6 or lower. The presentation of the food was great and very decorative as well
First time trying Red Orchid last week and we’ve already been back twice since. The bubble tea is delicious. I’m partial to the chocolate, but Thai coffee is a close second. You can tell that all the produce is super fresh. Highly recommend getting an appetizer sampler platter to try a few of their
I have been an almost once a week customer here for the better part of 15 years. I’ve tried many things on the menu that are always fantastic, but I stay ordering the Spicy Pad Ka Prow. I could not recommend this place enough and I tell everyone I know to come try it. I’ll keep ordering here until t
This place offers flavorful, filling, and authentic Thai food with satisfying portion sizes and at a reasonable price. The tilapia dish we ordered was especially a surprise in how good it was; it struck just the right balance between the thin, crispy breading, the flaky texture of the fish, and the
We had New Year's Eve dinner here and it was wonderful. Food was great and the service was sparse but good. I would definitely recommend!
This is the best Thai food in the North Hills. Everything here is spicy and delicious! I ordered the spicy tofu with eggplant and it was one of the best Asian dishes I’ve ever eaten. The crab rangoons are also good as well as the chai tea which is sweet.
Their food is so so good and accommodating to vegan/vegetarian. I got a sampler and the pumpkin curry soup which was to die for!! The rice also came shaped in a heart, so cute. It’s a really cool atmosphere inside and I can’t wait to go back :) Thank you so much!
Ate here during the pandemic and the food was great. Our server was a bit rude to some of the people in our group and didn’t seem interested in being helpful. Still would go there again.
Amazing food! Now serving beer and wine! Arguably as good as anywhere in the Pittsburgh area. The curries are always impressive. Prices are not to high either. The seating expansion really made for a great experience!
