This is the hidden gem you hoped for in this intimate authentic Italian restaurant. The gnocchi in bolognese was simply amazing along with melt-in-your-mouth short ribs. We ordered a tasting of just about everything on the menu and nothing was disappointing. Not only was the food fantastic but, the owner chatted with our table and the passion and pride are evident. Came here for Easter and will be back very soon!!
Nice warming environment inside! The owners are amazing and make every effort to make sure you enjoy your time in their restaurant. The food is amazing and made to order so be prepared to be amazed! Can’t wait to come back for another meal. I recommend the anti pasta for 2 if you are a meat and cheese lover I’ve never seen such a beautiful delicious spread!
I went today for a taste of Italy ! I was not disappointed. The food , atmosphere and chef and owners where all amazing . Truly a taste of Italy ! Fresh made pasta was delicious. Short ribs fell off the bone ! Dessert was decadent! This restaurant did not disappoint! I will go back !!
I absolutely recommend Nancetta's! I ordered the gnocchi with high hopes it would taste similar to when I ate it when I was in Venice. One bite and I was thrilled! Absolutely delicious and amazing. It was like I was back in Italy. My highest compliments to the chef and the service!

Nancy and Paul are quite possibly the best hosts and then to follow it up with the best food I would of said blasphemy - but it's true. One of the best dinners I've had ever, not just in Pittsburgh. I didn't mention the word restaurant because it's more, go - enjoy this favorite secret spot to have a romantic dinner.
We had a wonderful dinner here last night. Our waitress, Dawn, was lovely and attentive. We were even greeted by the owners during our evening. The food was incredibly delicious (homemade pear and Asiago ravioli in a lemon butter sauce with crab-YUM!). Prosciutto stuffed dates and risotto balls for our appetizer and 4 different desserts to share to end the evening. This was our first time dining at Nancetta's and we're looking forward to our next visit!

My girlfriend and I went here about a week ago, and it was one of the best restaurant experiences. The food is amazing, homemade, and has authentic Italian flavors. My girlfriend had the gnocchi, a house specialty of sorts and a great decision, and I had Chilean sea bass (one of the fish choices for the day), also a wonderful choice. Next, the owners were the people dealing with us the entire night, so the experience is even better because of the level of knowledge and passion about the subject when they are speaking with you. Plus, they are very kind people that will make you feel very welcome. The food is not overpriced like some places because of the quality, and the experience of going to this restaurant also justifies something extra. We will definitely be going back, and we recommend it to everyone.
Just finished eating dinner at my favorite restaurant! The homemade chicken parmesan with homemade noodles was excellent like always, along with everything else we had. The homemade bread with the olive oil dipping sauce is always delicious and the Italian dressing on our salads was the best we ever had. We tried the Risotto balls tonight for an appetizer and they melted in our mouth. I always look forward to coming here for dinner, the prices are good, everything is homemade from scratch including the pasta noodles-you can't get that at Olive Garden! The owners are both so friendly and they always go above and beyond to satisfy customers.

Homemade bread and oil! The margarita pizza was amazing. Homemade Ceasar salad! You can tell they use the freshest tomatoes for their sauces and dishes. I wish we saved room for dessert!
As a Individual who has worked in the food industry for over 9 years now i have been to many restaurants and markets. I will say that the food served here is nothing like any other place in Pittsburgh. It truly is made with great passion. We started with Artichoke hearts with crispy Pancetta.... literally to die for mouth watering taste. My Veal Parmesan literally melted in my mouth. The presentation was immaculate. My fiances Alfredo was amazing the noodles are home made. We finished our meal with a Lemon tart that made me feel like i was eating something off the Foodnetwork. Would reccomend this place to absolutely anyone. The menu is very extensive and has anything your mind could imagine. (By the way i didnt need to use thd knife to cut the veal)

Nancetta’s Ristorante is a small, locally-owned restaurant that delivers the best of the best dishes in the form of spreads, appetizers, salads, soups, entrees, deserts and speciality drinks, all of which are freshly made within the realm of Italian cuisine. Our bartender and waiter, Jay, provided impeccable attention to our table. Jay genuinely provided above-and-beyond service to us that is professional, thoughtful, courteous, accommodating, caring, kind, considerate, respectful, attentive and passionate with sprinkles of delightful humor. The owners, husband and wife, equally provided such service to our table and seemingly to all other tables in the restaurant. This restaurant is indeed a rare, precious gem conveniently located close to the exit of Route 28. For those looking for a top notch, small, local restaurant that serves up freshly made, homemade Italian cuisine, this is it. The wait is long because the food is freshly made and not just sitting around, it’s all made from scratch and is absolutely delicious, I HATE premade noodles now and I need their freshly made pasta. Literally the best chicken Alfredo I’ve ever had in my life!
I absolutely loved this restaurant. My dad and I came in after a long day and was greeted by the owner at the door. The service was fantastic and had great hospitality. The food was delicious. Everything is homemade and you can really tell the difference. Highly recommended for a fantastic Italian dining experience.

We were not impressed with the appetizer, and like other reviewers, got restless as we waited for the main course. However once it arrived, the food was outstanding and well worth the wait. I took the advice of our very knowledgeable server and am glad that I did. She was spot on with her recommendation!
No doubt this place is 5/5 stars. Great, tasty, and authentic Italian food. It’s a scratch kitchen, and the chef came out and spoke to us for a bit. It’s a family owned spot and they’re so sweet, and the service was phenomenal. It’s not a very big dining area, but that allows it to be very quaint and romantic. great date spot.

This was a last minute decision to try this smaller tucked away resturant that we always pass on our way to the Yatch club. We ordered the duck and it was very good! We are looking forward to trying the other items on the menu. We are excited to come back again and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere and relax over a nice glass of wine!
Food was excellent,service was to be expected for a made to order small restaurant,as most places staffing is an issue but it did not interfere much,maybe took longer than normal but went with a group of 4 and we all left very satisfied with the experience.yes it does take long,this is normal in my experience for any restaurant that makes meals on an individual basis. Yes it is expensive,but no more than any other fine dining place I've been to,in fact prices here are on the lower end compared to some. We will go back.
