Greatest place ever. This place by far has the best easy food you will ever eat
Great Eatery!. Been a fan of the chain for a long time. There just isn't anything like a chili dog with onion served next to some chili cheese fries! Breakfast has been decent the few times i've had it. Nothing out of the park but not bad, if you want a place to grab some eggs and bacon and a good cup of coffee stop on in. But lunch is what they do best.
Chili anyone?. I stop here on a semi-regular basis for a couple dogs with everything, which in chili parlance is chili, mustard and onions, a cheeseburger with the same and fries with chili. In case you haven't noticed I like chili. The ground meat is always fresh and not of the preformed patty type. The mix is most likley 80/20. The buns are always steamed soft. The fries..........well I'll give them a demerit for not using a better grade or maybe better selection of spuds. Overall I would have to say that I enjoy the food and the atmosphere is pleasant and laid back. A nice joint run by the proprietors whom are always hands on and onsite proving to me that they truly care about their establishment and product. It does show.
Awesome old-school experience. Prices are unbeatable for a filling meal. Delicious shakes, good weiners and crispy fries. Great throw-back style environment with fast and friendly service.
The food is rather good
If you go in the early morning through the afternoon the atmosphere is wonderful and very hospitable
If you go later on in the day it seems like the employees don't care much
Overall I've had good and bad experiences here when I go during the day for lunch or breakfast always a warm welcome

Great hot dogs. Can’t beat the prices. Love the chili and cheese combo. The 2 paired together are just a party in your mouth. Nothing fancy just good old dogs and fries! Excellent staff.
Excellent tasting food. Service was professional and quick. Lovely atmosphere. The chili cheese onion hot dogs were on point. Cheese fries were delicious. I prefer just cheese on the fries because the chili can overpower the cheese.
I started eating here at 12 with my dad for breakfast, am 49 and simply have to eat here every time I come back. The hot dogs are the best, and chili/cheese fry with some vinegar hits the spot. Somehow the bun is so fresh and soft/warm. The prices are so cheap, esp compared to FL. Great milkshakes. The hamburger is one of a kind, well was 15 years ago and copied now. I have eaten here over 150x in my life and is honestly the only place I buy hot dogs. Darlington location rocks! West Pgh a little run down but still tasty, had it 3x a few weeks ago. Daughters LOVED it too.
My favorite lunch destination. The chili and onion dogs- perfection every time. The dog snaps when you eat it and taste great. Fries are crispy and I always finish everyone. The crew are very friendly and will offer menu suggestions if you ask.
This place was cool, chill atmosphere and the chili cheese dogs and fries were banging! Good service and clean environment.
Old school hot dog shop. Serves good food, has friendly staff, and the prices are decent. The only thing I really hate about this place is that the booths are hard on the back, so I'd you have a bad back I suggest bringing something for cushion.
I've never been inside, drive-thru only for us. The hot dogs are pretty good, but the chilling cheese fries are yummmm!!! Sometimes, we go specifically for that.
Always fast, great food with great prices! Always come here at least once a week! Will continue to go here!!! The people are always so nice and friendly!
Fresh cut fries a drink and good cheeseburger for ten bucks you can’t beat it! The employees were polite and the food came out fast. The restaurant was also clean. To top it off I got a cool cup to keep!
Fast food prices, but food quality that at least matches that of most pizza joints and smaller restaurants in the area. Their burgers are fantastic and the toppings they use rival In-N-Out Burger's in freshness. Their hotdogs are great but their chili cheese dogs are even better. Make sure you grab a milkshake when you visit, too. I prefer chocolate but apparently peanut butter is legendary. I've gone 33 years in the Pittsburgh area ignorant to Hot Dog Shoppe but now I've seen the light and I've been making up for lost time by eating it three times a week 😎
This is always good! This is the only time I had an issue here. 3 milkshakes I ordered were only half full.
The chili cheese fries are to die for and their soups are surprisingly really good! I’m not a big hot dog fan but the other food is absolutely amazing. Great prices and a perfect quick lunch spot. The workers are very sweet and the place is well kept.
5 stars for hot sausage, fish sandwich, chili cheese fries, and banana milkshakes. Fast and friendly service at affordable prices. This place is substantially better than every nearby competitor. Thank you.
