Squirrel Hill Cafe - Pittsburgh - Photo album

Went here for the first time. These kinds of places are disappearing quick! Talked with the bartender who has been there for 40+ years. There wasn't a cool, so we didn't get to try the food, but we will definitely be back. Nice beer selection in cans and a few drafts.
A great tavern feel with wonderful food and friendly service. Highly recommend!!! Had my grandma, mother, brother, and twin daughters here. Was great!
Such a cool place. The grilled cheese is awesome and the prices are reasonable. My boyfriend and I got 3 alcoholic drinks and my grilled cheese 26 bucks. I also mistakenly forgot my wristlet. The bartender, who was very nice, noticed it and put it behind the bar where it was safe. The history b
A very casual, neighborhood street cafe. Went here while strolling the shopping street. Surprisingly, the food is great here. I wasn't expecting that given the ambience is more like a busy little bar. On my second visit, I ordered a Cajun chicken sandwich. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Have
I passed by the Cage once before, and I have always decided I wanted to give it a try. I can say the Food is very good and it is indeed a Pittsburgh and Squirrel Hill staple. It is an old Town Charm with an old Pittsburgh feel. The Lady who took care of me is an older woman named Jan and she wa
This is by far the best dive bar I’ve ever been to. Ever since they banned smoking this is both our go to neighborhood bar and our final stop of bar hopping any given evening. As far as I can tell when ppl who work their have days off they just hangout at the bar as patrons. What better endorsement
EDIT: No more smoking and limited menu is back! Try the burgers, fries, fish sammie, and any of the apps. Some of the best bar food in town. Cozy, smokey dive bar. Great prices, great staff, and awesome chefs. It quickly becomes your go-to spot.
Best place on earth me and the girls go multiple times a week for cheap eats and good vibes
A not-so-hidden treasure. Fantastic neighborhood bar. Very friendly. Nice people. Great food. Good prices. Excellent service and staff.
Wonderful cafe & bar. The gal tending the bar was so sweet. She gave it that home town feel the second you say down. The prices were very reasonable. In fact for the size of the portions and quality of the food, the prices were down right amazing! The food was delicious as well, so if your looking
Bring your own food while the kitchen is closed. Great vibe, $4-5 local taps, PBR on tap too!
It has a neighborhood bar feel with a very diverse crowd. You get to meet so many people from all walks of life 👍👍
I really enjoy this place. It's not fancy. It's a cozy neighborhood bar. The staff has no turnover. I have literally watched some of them go gray. You might have to wait a bit for a drink. For the right person, it's worth the wait. The story is, during prohibition, they sold 'coffee'. In coffee cups
A smoky gem. Great dive bar with excellent staff and maybe the best burger in Pittsburgh, certainly for the price. Tony Bourdain knew what was up at the Cage.
Just like everyone said the cheese balls were the bomb. We had drinks and dinner too. Good music playing on radio and good atmosphere. Would go again. Feels like the local neighborhood bar
Charming place with an old school vibe that offers fast and efficient service. Smoking is allowed indoors, just something to keep in mind before going.
