I lived near Staghorn for quite a while before trying it. It closes relatively early, hosting coffee and breakfast items to the morning crowd and a select lunch options in the afternoon. When I finally visited the cafe for coffee and an early lunch I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly and committed to a quality cup of coffee (they redid my espresso because they thought the first pull wasn't up to their standard). I had their soup and toast for lunch. The soup was thick and creamy, it really stuck to the bread well and the bread was hearty and flavorful but wasn't chewy at all. I worked there for about 3 hours and found the seat reasonably comfortable (better than 50% of cafes I've been to). The shop also has a nice selection of items from local shops. If you have the time while they are open, you should definitely try their food/coffee and support this local shop!
A great place to have a relaxing breakfast. Love the scone sandwich. Warm, fresh and just wonderful. Also must try the local honey latte - a great way to start the morning.
The grilled cheese was incredible! The excellent food, a cozy and cool vibe made for a great overall experience. Street parking is right out front, and it was easy to find a spot around lunchtime.
Some of the better espresso drinks around town. They use Zeke's coffee who roasts darker than other local purveyors. They might have one of the best grilled cheeses in town, too. Apologies that my excitement precluded me getting a photo before 1/3 of the plate disappeared.
Also come here for other hyper-local products like Zeke's coffee, Leona's ice cream sandwiches, chocolate, honey, soaps, greeting cards, books and more. As such, the space can feel a bit more constricted than cozy.
Still a charming spot well-suited to Greenfield with great staff and ownership.
Love that Staghorn features locals artists and craftpeople's work for sale. Was here for a poetry reading, another way that Staghorn creates a creative space for the community. Had a large iced latte, perfect for a summer day, served in a mason jar, thank you very much!
The staff is very nice and helpful. It has a good ambience. Their coffee is OK and food is good.Prices are above average, but it's a local shop so it needs to sustain itself. They are family friendly and they support local community. Eating in is a better experience then getting a take out.
4 stars because 25% of the time the bagels are not fresh and coffee tastes watery, which ruins the breakfast experience for me.
Hello. This is quite a nice coffee joint with many comfortable seating options. They have a wonderful selection of locally sourced and crafted memorabilia. Good food selection for all diets. Great coffee and the breakfast tacos (weekends only) are fantastic. Always very fresh and made to order. This place has been a very welcome addition to the neighborhood and is family friendly: they even have a little play area for kids with books and toys. Be sure to check out all the local crafts and foodstuffs available as well.
Kid friendly. Good coffee. Good tea selection. GREAT food. Perfect for my work from home days. I love this place. Owners are amazing, thoughtful and very careful about the curation of the shop. I love the local artisan focus. I love the products. I will come here weekly for all the days I can.
