This is a no frills amazing Mexican restaurant. Everything was so good. My favorite was the enchiladas verdes! I
I love this place! The staff is so nice and I love all the flavors of agua frescas they have. I usually get the pollo tostadas. Great value for the price. They accept debit cards too.
Amazing food, friendly staff, and a cute interior. I had three tacos: carnitas, al pastor, and carne asada. I love how they bring out bowls of diced onion, cilantro, and sauces for you to add to your taste. The mangonada was also a nice treat…spicy, sweet, sour, salty, it’s just so unique and fun. We will definitely come back!
The quesadillas doradas are so delicious. The lightly fried outside and gooey cheesy inside is everything just remember the green sauce is milder than the orange one ❤️🔥🔥
I was starting to worry that I would never find a decent Mexican food joint in Pittsburgh, but this is it! Having grown up with authentic Mexican food and lived in places with some of the best Mexican restaurants in the country, I have high standards--and this place exceeds most of my expectations for what makes good Mexican food! And yes, many folks come for the amazing paletas and snacks, but the tortas and tacos here are the best in town, in my view! Absolutely amazing food.
Everything we had was authentic. My absolute favorite was the drinks they made. I love the fruit drink the best. My daughter adored her taco that had little chunks of pork on it. It was seasoned fantastically.
Had a Torta and a Gordita. Excellent Food, will definitely be back !
On a scale of documentaries to novels, Alquisiras Paleteria reminds me of The House of Broken Angels by Luis Alberto Urrea. Story and food transports consumers, and Alquisiras Paleteria did exactly that.
Walking in to this restaurant feels like you were just transported to another country -- from the décor to the menu. While the restaurant does show some wear and tear, it is clearly a community staple, and the food blew my mind.
We ordered a quesadilla, enchiladas, a tostada, and two cups of corn as well as horchata. And I'm already dreaming of returning for another serving of quesadilla, tostadas, and the horchata! WOW, this meal was astoundingly delicious, and I'm excited to return to try the tacos!
If you love a meal that feels wholly authentic, Alquisiras Paleteria is a must.
I cannot recommend this place more. The staff was so friendly. They have homemade soups and homemade chilled drinks. The beans are great! And the enciladas were delicious without being steeped in butter and grease.
Food was amazing, got elote and 3 Birria tacos with sauce. They are not stingy on the sizes. Only con to this location is that I spent about 25minutes waiting to place an order.
