This restaurant is my only think the cleanest restaurant, their service attitude particularly is very good, and thir boss is very nice. If you feel when dining in the restaurant is very cozy. If you like to eat fruit sushi, try a "Chinggo", which their sushi contain mango or litchi, both fruit we can pick one. When I came in they are restaurant, me with my friend. we have eight people. Their sashimi is very fresh, when I eat, I also felt a sashimi was very fresh. Because the sashimi taste good. I inquired to boss "where is your sashimi from?". The boss is very nice answer to me.he say" I was selection of specialized and dedicated to shopping back." They feel that the best deal is special in that column. "LUCK LUCK ROLL", "PLAY BOY", "SOTA ROLL" and "NARITA ROLL" is most worthy to eat. because the Not only price is very sixpenny and full material.
We ate here because we stayed in a nearby hotel. Service was excellent. And the sushi was even better! We had the Big Daddy roll, Dragon roll, and The Scotty roll. All were terrific. Highly recommend.
Good sushi. Rice was over cooked. Flavor good. Could have been fresher, but good.
Just had dinner here and had a pleasant experience. Enjoyed the private booths and overall atmosphere. We were attended to promptly and found our waiter to be friendly, very attentive without being overbearing. Sushi was fresh and delicious and others were pleased with their hibachi meals. I would recommend!
Great service, okay sushi. I travel extensively for work and eat sushi quite often, so I decided to try this one because it is close to my hotel. The service was fast and friendly. I liked two of the three specialty rolls I ordered, though they all had too much mayo on top. The cooked roll that came out in the foil with fire under it was not good -- I think they call it the Scotty roll, but it was an example of gimmicky tricks gone wrong because the whole roll had a nasty metallic and burnt taste. I would definitely go back to sample some of their other offerings and would say they score 6.5/10 IMO
A wonderful treat. I've seen this restaurant as I've gotten off I-70 going to work to get gas and decided to give it a try on the weekend. The decor is beautiful, definitely date night worthy. I loved the private booth I got when requested, even as I dined alone. I had the hibachi steak combo. The steak was melt in your mouth tender with a really good sauce. The fish, good as well, both very generous portions. The fried rice was not overly salty and the veggies tender crisp. With soup and salad both it was more than I could eat and I ended up getting a "to go" box. The onion soup was a winner, I'd not have tried that on my own, but it was SO good.
The service was first rate, an older man who I believe was probably the owner or manager greeting me and seating me, and bringing my hot tea and a young man taking care of me during the meal. He was quite attentive without being intrusive, an art many wait staff have forgotten today.
The only criticism I could make was the sound of a basketball game playing loudly in the sushi/bar area was distracting in the dining room where music was playing. Still a VERY pleasant experience and I will most definitely be back.
Suprise!!!. I have been to many japanese restaurants in my life but this is hands down my new favorite. The food was amazing and the restaurant is beautiful. One thing i would suggest is having a host stand in the front of the restaurant as i was pretty confused when i walked in where to go. Also, the menus need to be looked over by an english teacher, haha. Read through it for awhile and it will make you laugh. All in all, will return over and over again. Best onion soup i have ever had at a japanese restaurant.. Cant wait to go back!!
Best Sushi around. If You are Impatient Don't Go On A Friday Night. ThEy Will Be Packed. But Their food Is The Best. Try The Scotty Roll. So Good! We GoHere Once A Week Most Of The Time!
Horrible Service. The food at Narita is great. That should never be doubted. Me and my girlfriend would go once ever month because we both love the food and sushi there. However, the service is simply horrible. Every time we have been there there is never a hostess at the front waiting to seat customers. Every time we've had to go find a waitress to sit us, once we had to knock on the door to the kitchen, the last time we had to uncomfortably stand in the dinning area until the third waitress who walked pass us seated us. They don't understand that customer service is what people remember, if its not convenient , the food isn't worth it and one of the other hundred Japanese Restaurants around town will get my business.
What a Drop Off in Quality. We have been to Narita's several times in the past year and, aside from service problems early on, found it entirely enjoyable. However, on our last visit the sushi quality was noticeably diminished. Very noticeably. I can't say I have any interest in returning after that. It sounds like the non-sushi options aren't faring much better.
AWESOME!. Moving to Plainfield from the East Coast, I was worried i would never eat good sushi again, then i found Naritas! Amazing sushi, everything i have ordered has been so good! Amazing staff, the owner is so nice and all the waiters are super friendly. Great place to go for a nice dinner, they don't rush you in and out -Good, fresh food takes time!
If you go once you will go again!
Excellent Sushi Rolls. We first went to Narita because we had a Group-on coupon. At that time, they were still finishing up the decorating of the restaurant and we enjoyed the eagerness the staff had for our arrival. The sushi rolls were excellent - different and creative. The nigiri was not as good. We've been back twice since. The second time, the place was looking nicely decorated, and we had the waiter that I think other reviewers must be referencing. He was...not wonderful. But this last time, the service was back to its friendly, original self and the food was delicious.
Best. BEST sushi you can possibly get in an inland state. It even competes with coastal cities. Very fair pricing since its in a suburb and not a posh downtown scene
I love sushi and narita never disappoints. The rolls are prepared perfect, the best ratios of ingredients. They have several fun rolls we love getting like the scotty roll which is brought to the table flaming. The only thing narita is missing is cook infront of you hibachi grills. Ps def try the rock shrimp appetizer!
Friendly and relaxed, not speedy and impersonal. My husband and I meet here for lunch every once in a while. The service here is laid back and inviting. It's not speedy, but it is friendly. The atmosphere is very nice! The music makes me laugh sometimes though. I really like their Inside-Out Philadelphia Rolls, and they have a great menu selection. I quite enjoy our visits here together amongst the hustle and bustle of life.
Best sushi in indy ..we have scoty roll & giri roll so good and sashimi combo for2 r the best in town ..
AWESOME. This place was awesome. The food was great and so was the service. It wasn't like your typical resturant where they will rush you through your meal. They spaced out your appetizer, salad, and main entree. It was very relaxing. If you want awesome food with a great atomosphere Narita is perfect.
Always good. Best bang for the buck in the whole Indianapolis area. Always fresh and always good. Biggest sushi menu I think in town, one of my favorites for sure.
We've been to narita twice now and we absolutely this place. Its quite a drive at 30 miles one way, but totally worth it! Both times we got about 5 different rolls and we haven't had a bad roll yet. Our favorites are the miami and bahama rolls. Each meal comes with soup and salad. The miso is some of the best around, and I love the dressing on the salad.
Sushi in Plainfield...finally (sorry Akira). I enjoy this restaurant and frequent it when I get the chance. It isn't the best sushi in the Indianapolis area (see Sakura, Makado and Ichiban) but it is very good and located nicely for Plainfielders like me who love sushi and don't want to drive.
I really like the decor and the atmosphere. The service is hit and miss for me but never extremely good or bad. I have routinely had billing errors, including the first four times I went there-- so check your bill.
Other than that, sit at the bar and ask what's fresh. Order, eat, and enjoy! Bon appetit!
This place is awesome good food good service and the staff are really friendy and make u feel at home
Best sushi on the west side. There are a couple of great sushi places on the west side of Indianapolis but I have yet to enjoy one as much as I have Narita. The atmosphere is incredible and the food is just as good. After 4 different visits, I have yet to get a bad meal.
Great sushi, fair prices. Tried this place for the first time tonight and loved it! I had picked up a Groupon for it which was an awesome deal, but even without that their prices are good for what you get. Good variety and fresh tasting sushi. We used to go to Ginza on 38th St all the time and the chef they used to have there is now at Narita, as well as our favorite waitress! We've found our new favorite sushi spot!
We will be open on Sunday Jan 29 till Feb 5th from 12-9pm come see us.

Mr. RAF in order for us to honor your "groupon" you have to actually buy them at Groupon, then they will give you a barcode number that you can use to redeem it. So far we have an excellent result with all of the others Groupon user that already redeem their actual coupon. You can not just print it and cut it, you will actually have to buy them from Groupon.com. Thank you very much
NARITA HAS REOPENED!. I first discovered Narita back in August, and loved it. I had planned to eat there again on my birthday, but the night before, they had a fire and have been closed since. Much to my pleasure, they have reopened. We had lunch there today and loved it.
The decor is relaxing, and the booths very roomy and comfortable (and semi-private). Our server was friendly and made sure we were taken care of. The prices are good, and the food awesome. The avocado rolls have gigantic chunks of avocado with sesame seeds on the outside, and just melted in my mouth. The "Mexico" roll contained the best shrimp tempura I've had.
If you're looking for great sushi at a reasonable price in a nice setting with good service, you should check out Narita.
Nice atmosphere, friendly service, very fresh sushi, spider row good
Very good sushi. It's 4:45 on a Saturday afternoon and we're hungry. Specifically, hungry for sushi. We decided to try Narita because it's close. What a treat. The staff is very nice, and the menu is amazing. The wine/drinks list is interesting, including about 10 brands of sake. And, of course, there is lovely sushi. We ate way too much of it. We did avoid the booths, which look very dark and very, well, private (wink, wink.) The decor is Japanese modern/swanky. We were in Saturday afternoon clothes, but you could really dress up for this place. They also have other Asian dishes (Thai, for one) from a regular menu.
Delicious!. My husband and I LOVE this place. We have been searching for sushi closer to home with many disappointments. This is the first place that actually knew what they were doing. This has become our date night place and we visit 2-3 times a month if not more. The lunch prices are fantastic. The waitresses are very good with our children when we do decide to take them. If you like sushi you will be very pleased.
Went for lunch on a friday afternoon and the place wa empty. Wife and I immediately thought "oh no", then we saw the menu/prices and the fact that they don't cook at the table and considered leaving. I was starving so we decided to go with it. Quite glad we did! Had inside out Philly roll sushi which was amazing and NY strip steak which was a bit chewy but wonderful anyway. Would love to go again but definitely not a good place to go if wanting to eat on the cheap. I do hope they stay around though...I'll be getting lots of take out sushi!
Unexpectedly Awesome!!!. We are very picky when it comes to sushi, so when we saw that Narita had opened in town, we were exciting but very skeptical. The staff is great!! Unlike some of the other reviews, we had very quick service and it was a Saturday night!. The sushi was excellent!! The design was very cool...a perfect combo of Asian influence and touch of the 70's. I know that doesn't sound cool but it is!
We will definitely be regulars!
Pretty good. I went with a group from work for lunch. The service was a little slow, but the meal was pretty good and good price for lunch. I'm looking forward to trying it again for dinner. I just wish they had a website.
Great Sushi. This is an excellent restaurant for sushi & other southeast Asian dishes. Very sleek & modern furnishings inside, flat screen HDTV above the sushi bar and private dining settings. The owners were great!
I come early to eat, never disappointed with the Sushi. Service is fine nothing out of the ordinary for today, when staffing is tight. When I want sushi this is where I go!
I tend to eat here during the day hours, close to opening and it is always quiet. The service is very good, and prompt. The menu selection is plentiful- with sushi and other food entrees. Lunch and dinner portions, and clean modern decor with comfortable booth and table seating. It is reasonably priced but not inexpensive, and portions are good for price. I eat the sushi or sashimi and it’s excellent each time.
Nice atmosphere. Food was typical of a Japanese Restaurant in US. Hibachi dishes, Sushi, Sashimi, white rice, fried rice, etc. Service was good. Prices are fair. Across the street from the Best Western Plus.
Enjoyed the Hibachi Chicken.
Great little Japanese restaurant. The staff were very attentive. I always had a drink refill at my table. My waitress was kind and professional and was very knowledgeable about the food being prepared by the kitchen. Most importantly the food was fantastic and didn't cost near as much as comparable restaurants.
The food and service is worth 5 stars all the way! My only reason for docking 1 star off is bathroom cleanliness. The restaurant was clean and beautiful, but the bathroom needs cleaning bad. The urinal and toilet looked like it wasn't cleaned all day. My wife had a similar complaint for the ladies room. Considering the restaurant was somewhat empty, there is no excuse for dirty restrooms even with shortened staff. The photo is proof of the pride in their cuisine. Everything was cooked perfectly and the meats were tender. Chefs need a payraise for that quality.
