Very good steaks. Atmosphere is outstanding. Wedge salad is good. Wine selection is very good. Service is outstanding. Overall a good value for your money. Kids are welcome but probably not your best best for a family dinner

Simply Wonderful. The Keg does it right. The restaurant is split in half. The right half is the bar. The left side is the steakhouse. Happy hour in the bar runs to about seven. We had two glasses of Cabernet in the bar and then headed over for dinner. The whole building is heavy redwoods with low lighting.

The meal was outstanding. The Bleu Cheese Wedge tasted great. The Santa Fe Chicken Dip was really spicy and good. For entrees, we had classic filet, bleu cheese filet, New York Sirloin, and King Crab. Everything was so tender and wonderful. The twice baked potato was really a surprise. The chives, bacon and sour cream folded into the potato mix was perfect.

What a wonderfully enjoyable place. I personally like this type of steak house over Del Frisco and Capital Grille. The food is on par, but not nearly as expensive.

I enjoyed the keg steakhouse filet. Cook to perfection. I could have cut it with a spoon. Yes it was that melt in your mouth.

Steaks were great, you can cut them with a butter knife. Service was excellent too, very helpful with selections of the Entrees.

Decent. I've definitely had better steaks in my life, but The Keg does a decent job, with competent service. The lobster tail is always perfectly cooked and served with drawn butter over an individual flame.

"Our" Steak Night Restaurant. We had eaten at The Keg plenty of times - but never at this location in Las Colinas. We went there for dinner tonight and I was reminded once again of why this is one of my favorite steak restaurants ever!

The night was off to a very rough start right as we were seated. We sat there for almost 5 minutes before our waiter rushed over and introduced himself. He asked what we were drinking and if we wanted an appetizer. We ordered the calamari and the lobster gratinee (which is only availble during their lobster season). The waiter went to put our order in and we were left alone yet again. We must have sat there for TEN MINUTES without ANY food and the watier was no where to be found. Our drinks went empty and we didn't even get that basket of bread that usually comes out right when you sit down. Finally, after a stern look at the manager, I saw him rush to the kitchen and later he came out with our appetizers. He apologized for the delay and as he was, the waiter finally came over to refill our water. It was then that he finally realized we hadn't even gotten any bread yet. Sigh.

The calamari was nothing like what we expected. It's lightly battered and fried, but covered with this spicy and sweet sauce - pretty original. The lobster gratinee was chunks of lobster meat covered in cheese and butter - delicious, but you'll hate yourself in the morning for eating it!

At this point, our waiter was really getting on my nerves and I was ready to call the manager over and really let him have it; but then, our entrees arrived. My wife got the baseball sirloin cooked rare (god, what a woman) with a caesar salad on the side while I got the steak and tiger shrimp combo with the steak cooked "blue rare" (the only way a steak should be). The steak made me COMPLETELY forget about the service. As soon as we began to eat our steaks, our entire demeanor changed. Buttery, tender, delicious steak made everything okay again.

For dessert, she got the creme brulee and I ordered the brownie sundae. They were both wonderful! The brownies were perfectly moist and rich with fudge. The creme brulee was so good, my wife ordered another one to-go! (She's been blessed with an incredible metabolism)

All in all, the food was amazing while this particular server was disappointing. We're certain that had we gotten another server, we would've been much happier with the service. Manager Paul Bentley is attentive and makes his rounds to make sure every customer is satisfied. This is how steak should always taste!

Surprisingly good steak - half the price of most of the other joints in North Dallas

The baked Goat Cheese is awesome @ the keg!!!

The bar at The Keg is a warm, roomy area with a variety of seating options--at the bar, at a table, in easy chairs arranged to create intimate spaces with small tables for drinks, or (our choice) at a small, oval bar table. The bar is dimly lit with wood and stone decor, making it a great place for after-work relaxation -- and there were several groups of people, young and old, doing just that.
