I probably wouldn’t have complained if I hadn’t drove a total of 50 mins to get my food and make it back home. Along with the 40 min wait to get my food prepared that was “fresh to order”! Everything tasted like it came straight out of a can!!! Let’s start with the dressing! It was stuffing from the box! Cabbage was over soaked in water! Pork chop half done. Gravy was thicker than the canned kind. Oh the Mac and cheese the noodles were over cooked and you could tell they placed it in the oven way past time. The cornbread was sweeter than jiffy. It tasted like cake. The food had absolutely no seasoning. I would never recommend this place to a true southern person, maybe if you’re from up north this may work for you! 2 stars only bc the couple who worked their were nice. They do need help and it will need to start with that menu!

Food was good but had to wait 45 minutes for the food. Apparently there was only 2 people working their at the time. Maybe father and son but they were struggling. A lot of people were their and complaining but didn't want to add to the lost of uber eats and regular patrons by pulling up on the demands. It was a Sunday and for a soul food place to not be properly staffed is tough. No sorry for the wait or anything when we got the food. Catfish was good though. I would say call, but they only answered it once while we were waiting. Maybe I'll go back when they fix their staffing issues.

Placed 2 orders. The first one the shrimp are small and feel like little pieces of shell was added to the batter-nasty! The second is just completed wrong. Ordered 4 WINGS w/collard and Mac. Didn’t get a single wing but instead these dry nasty pieces that taste like they were cooked earlier in the day and couldn’t sell. Then I got candied yams that ain’t candied instead of the collards I ordered. The Mac tastes old as well. Throw the whole food away with the restaurant it’s garbage. Must’ve been staff writing the positive reviews! Highly disappointed and very displeasing to my palate!! Oh yeah the muffin was trash as well.

I tried the vegetable plate. In all honesty, the food was pretty bland. The yams were a bit dry, and didn't taste fresh or thoroughly cooked. I'm a big fan of Mac and cheese but this one lacked the flavor that I'm used to. The cabbage was meh...it could use a little more seasoning. The cornbread was decent and was the best thing out of all the items I had. The banana pudding was decent too (a little on the sweet side for me though). The staff are friendly which saved this place from getting a 2 star rating.

1st the food took forever 2nd the boss got sporty with me after I asked why you keep letting the lids up She replied Is it. Problem! Yes because every time you lift the lid up you lose heat 3rd the 4 wings with Mac n cheese and cabbage was awful Mac n cheese more cheese than noodles The cabbage water down and the wings was soaking in the cabbage water & the canned yams was not seasoned She looked under those plates 20x So I say hey you need to mark your plates Wish I had read the reviews I wouldn’t saved $23 The food ain’t worth the price I stumbled up on the place NOT wanting to cooked I threw the entire plate in the trash because that’s what it was I will never patronize them EVER AGAIN Close your doors or hire some real chef Coming from Mississippi I’m very picky on soul food and that ain’t it I can really teach you a thing or two but you got ugly with me !

Sunday is truly the day of the Lord! It is my "Treat Day!" Let the church say..."Amen!" Why should we call it a "cheat day," when the food you are eating tastes Mmmm...Mmmmm...so good! This is what I have to say about my experience eating at Savorite Southern Cuisine in Plano, TX. The food was Mmmm....Mmmmm...so good with a cherry on top! :) I ordered a vegetable plate with macaroni and cheese, collard greens, yams, a dinner roll, and a side of cabbage. Everything was seasoned so well. Most places these days don't serve good macaroni, but this place did not disappoint. It had the right amount of cheese and enough salt and pepper to where no additional was needed. The greens were very juicy and favorable, just like I like them. The yams were a little sweet (I don't eat a lot of sugar), but they were very tender and had the right amount of cinnamon to nutmeg ratio. The cabbage was a hit as well. It had flavor and it wasn't too mushy (I can't stand mushy cabbage...lol). To wash this hibernating Sunday dinner down, I ordered a cup of green tea lemonade (the lemonade is made in-house). A bit sweet for my tastebuds, but still a good addition to my meal. Overall the meal was delicious! The customer service from the man and woman team behind the counter spoke volumes in more words than one. Together they were managing phone orders, taking orders over the counter, cooking the food in the back, and preparing orders for the customers. I am not sure if they are the owners of this establishment, but they both served as an excellent representation of what Southern Hospitality truly is! I am a satisfied customer that will be returning on my next "Treat Day!" ;)

Mm-mmm! Delicious and savory southern goodness. My wife and I found this spot on a quick search for restaurants featuring collard greens in north Dallas. So glad we found Savorite! Although they only do take-out orders for now (thanks Covid) we guarantee if you want some of that good ole fashioned southern flavor cuisine, get your behind over here. We had the shrimp-n-grits, greens, and topped it with cornbread. The owner and cook are fun, warm personalities. My only gripe is probably a plus for them though. The wait was a little longer than we’d like, but that may just be cuz they can actually cook and ppl are willing to wait extra. Highly recommend their cornbread and shrimp-n-grits but best believe I’m coming back for those po’boys and pie.

Where do I start? When ordering she acted like she had an attitude when asking questions about the menu. She makes you wait 1hr when your the only one. There are no descriptions on what the plates include such as the smothered porkchop. Its a baked porkchop smothered in brown gravy however it lays on a bed of rice. Which is not stated on the menu and she (server or whoever) didnt mention it either when asked. The worst part was that the smothered pork chop was too salty like she dropped the salt in it. Also the brown gravy was in my 2 sides which changed the taste of them and ruined it. The most disappointing thing was the store bought yellow cake with caramel sauce spread on top. I would not be going back.

I can't believe I just found out about this place. A soul food place in Plano - LOVE IT!! I ordered fried pork chops macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes. The Porkchop was a center cut very well seasoned fried flavorful piece of meat! I cook so it takes good food to impress me. I'm impressed. The potatoes were REAL no instant pour potatoes here. Macaroni and cheese was gooey cheesy and yummy! For dessert I had the red velvet cake - i can't complain about any of it. All good!! I will be back!
