After recently returning from a Thailand/Malaysia trip, I was feening for some good Thai food. I hopped on Yelp! To see what was good in the 'hood (neighborhood) and found Thai Thai Sushi. It was hidden in a plaza, but inside was a lot more spacious than one would imagine. The wait staff was in traditional Thai clothing and were extremely friendly. We were seated quickly and even though there were many families there, the place did not feel at all cramped or crowded.
So most Thai restaurants tend to have Japanese and Malaysian food as well on the menu, and this was no exception. However, I was feeling for more Thai dishes, and they had quite the selection of soups, noodle dishes and a variety of meats, tofu, and veggie meals. While my folks had sushi, I went with the crispy fried duck, with spicy basil sauce. Everything came out relatively quickly and was delicious. The duck breast was huge, crispy on the outside and succulent. I was able to get some additionally spicy basil sauce on the side as well. It was the perfect addition to the meat. The fish in the sushi was extremely fresh and the rice was cooked perfectly.
I had the green tea ice cream, and my parents had the coconut. Both tasted very natural; they were not overly sweet but were still flavorful. There are a couple other desserts I have my eye on for next time.
We will definitely be returning to try the other traditional dishes on the menu. And I loved the service. We shall meet and feast again soon.
The menu is great. It has all the Thai dishes I love. I ordered takeout. They do an excellent job packing the food. There is nothing worse than losing all that wonderful Thai sauce with a spill. Tom Kha soup was one of the best I've ever had. Tom Yum was good. Nam Sod had great flavor. The lettuce was not crunchy- many pieces had a slimy feeling. I picked out the iceberg and then added kale to it. This was awesome. Next time, I'll just say no iceberg ( kale is not a Thai staple). Thai basil is one of my go-to entrees. This one had beautiful presentation but was too oily for my taste.
This was my first time. I will return for the Tom Kha soup.
Thai Thai has been here at the same location for easily over a decade. And, that whole time they have been consistent in their service, cleanliness, and quality of food. It is a family business that always has fresh flowers on every table and an attentive staff that treats you like royalty.
Clean tablecloths and cloth napkins adorn every table, and a sheet of glass covers each table and adds a professional touch.
The walls are covered in an attractive wood design and adorned with plants and butterfly sculptures. Two TV's allow the guests that need their sports fix to be comfortable, without detracting from the overall ambiance of the restaurant.
I had the green curry chicken with a side of roasted cashew nuts (cashew nuts are not on the menu, but they always accommodate anything I ask for). It was presented in an attractive yet simple 3-pointed dish with a large bowl of rice on the side. Absolutely delicious!
My date and I stayed to chat for a good 30 minutes after we had our dinner and paid the bill, and we never even once felt pressured to leave. This is a great restaurant for a date. It is classy, affordable, and the food is beyond delicious. And, the service is exceptional for this price range.
It's a nice place with good sushi. Not fancy but again, a nice place and good service too. The boat for two it's a lot for two lol. At least to us (me and my husband). We've been there a lot and we'll keep visiting this place. This is the Salmon Tempura Roll. I like it. But this one is cooked/fried. So you'll get an even more fishy taste. I just wanted to try it.
After a long weeks of quarantine we were able to eat out and found a new Thai restaurant. This place is clean and nice. The staff are courteous. We were able to take a seat right away with a six feet away from other guest. They do clean the tables and chairs after each guest, I know because I saw them cleaning the other table after the guest left. The foods are nice and serves as fast as they can. The price is cheaper than other Thai restaurants we been too. We surely will try again to eat in this place. Highly recommendable.
Excellent neighborhood Thai food restaurant. They've been serving delicious Thai food for many many years. The shopping plaza they are in seems to be getting run down, but the restaurant is still consistently very good. Service is top notch as they attend to your table constantly throughout the meal. Typical Thai menu, and very good sushi selection as well. You can't go wrong at Thai Thai.
The food is excellent. The staff is very attentive and extremely friendly. Did I mention delicious food?
Atmosphere is great, sushi was not the best but still pretty good. My Panang curry tasted delicious. Would definetly reccomend.
Very good Thai restaurant. The curry was very rich in flavor and the beef satay was tender and very good with the peanut sauce. Definitely recommend for lunch or dinner.
I love the chicken basil, I work nearby and have eaten it a few hundred times...keeps getting better every time. I’ve been to Thailand, and Thai Thai’s Basil Chicken has them all beat...i suggest Thai Hot!!!
Never been to a Thai restaurant before but this place is very delicious! The food is so fresh and the service was nice and welcoming. They even made adjustments for me. I ordered the Thai soup but since it was only an appetizer and a small portion, they were able to make a large one for me and I appreciated their willingness to do so. I definitely recommend to try!
This place is great! The service is really good and the workers try their best even on their busy days! On mothers day I ordered a Large tom yum with shrimp and an entree of the broccoli beef, I came to pick it up by around 25 minutes and they had it hot and ready for me! It was very busy and I'm happy they prioritize to go orders. If it ever gets busy and your order hasn't came yet, please understand they must be trying real hard! Over all I really like the food, the workers, and just the servers in general. 10/10.
Excellent, fresh cuisine. This is a lovely, family owned/operated restaurant that I happened to stumble upon. I've never been to a Thai restaurant and decided to give it a try. I ordered the fried calamari. It came out in a flash (their food is fresh and fast) and was honestly the absolute best fried calamari I've ever had. It was light and crispy and not greasy.
I had dinner plans for later that evening and told my guest of my fabulous find. I enjoyed the food and atmosphere so much that I went back again with my guest for dinner that same day. We shared (though I would have preferred to have not 😉), a plate of the fried calamari and ordered the red snapper. Once again, this dish was cooked to perfection. The dish included a large salmon steak with a generous heap of perfectly steamed vegetables that had a scrumptious crunch to them and a bowl of white rice.
The menu offered four different fish and about six different flavor styles. I had ginger and it was amazing.
If you're in the area and looking for delicious food, I highly recommend this restaurant. Tell them Doreen from Jersey sent you. 😉
It has a variety of delicious food, with a great ambiance. It is one of my favorite places to eat! A must try!!!
Ambiance is cute/comfortable. Papaya salad needed a little more fish sauce but after that was 10/10. The pad Thai was 👌. I feel like pad Thai is hot or miss depending on where you go but this one was really good. Also, the poke bowl was beautiful. The presentation was the best out of any poke bowl that I’ve ever had. Little flowers, fanned out oranges as garnish, the 2 gingers, very pretty. And a ton of high quality-fresh fish on it also. Overall, definitely worth checking out.
Great sushi. I come here regularly and they never fail to impress me. The quality of the food is really good. I won't lie the service is 7/10 but I get it. It gets busy I wouldn't blame them. I got the shrimp pud Thai and a red curry with beef and it was really good. They service you with a variety of drinks and I'm grateful. 👍🏼
