Food here was better than expected. We were in the area and stopped for lunch. I had the pouting with the added pulled pork and it was pretty good. Kids chicken tenders were OK, my daughter ate two of them so that's a win. Would go back here if in town. Spent about $70 (2 kids 2 adults) before tax and tip.
Food was all great, although there was a hair found in the fries that we didn't notice until the end. Service was good otherwise Forgot a side sauce at first but then came over and brought it after reminding them. We might have gotten another drink if they came over a little more frequently. Overall, I would try again.
Hailing from NYC, it's hard to not be critical of eateries outside the 5 boroughs. Hop Haus ended up exceeding my expectations. Truffle fries were tasty, well seasoned, and plentiful. Menu items are reasonably priced.
The sweet and salty Cap'n Crunch crusted chicken and waffles had a slightly spicy twist that made a great combo of flavors.
The porky mac was a delicious and rich take on the traditional carbonara. Portions were huge, flavor was stellar.
Both entrees also tasted great as leftovers the next day. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu options.
Great drinks selection on tap along with a great cocktail menu. Food is absolutely amazing, especially their chicken and Waffles. Also a great and cheap happy hour menu as well. Staff is super nice too.
Absolutely amazing!!! Server Darnel was great and attentive. Chef hands down great cook. Management checked in on us. Superb service and will keep coming back! Absolutely no complaints what so ever!
Great food and atmosphere, service was great and super friendly. French onion soup was delicious, not too salty and perfect amount of bread and cheese.
Amazing experience! We had some local Ipas. One was the fat orange cat brew "Baby Kittens" , which was a hazy glass of goodness. For food my bf had the frenchman burger, a french onion soup burger! Sooooo good and I am not an onion person!!! Definitely eat it with a knife and fork. I decided on the "do you want to play a game?", a mystery game meat! All the hearts for that! Not a first for me but definitely the best game I've had in a minute. We will definitely visit on our next visit to town!
This place was fantastic, the inside looked really nice but the patio was where it was at. Our waiters were amazing and very attentive, the food was to die for, and the patio had this awesome bohemian vibe. Definitely a place I am coming back to.
To be honest, I completely wrote this place off for a while. What started as one of my frequent stops became so disappointingly unrecognizable that I could condone returning. The service decline, the bar declined, and the food declined.
That's in the past now. After getting a few recommendations to give Hop Haus another shot, I caved and went back and am happy that I did. Things are back on track and as long as they stay that way, it will remain in rotation for places to stop while in Southington. Good on them for bouncing back.
My husband and I had a great time! The bartender was fantastic. The amount and types of beer offered was great and our food was excellent. We had the brussel sprouts, a Reuben and the Hop Haus burger. We will definitely be going back!
Just went back recently. Still a great place to visit with a friendly bartender and good food. This time we tried the Mai Tai Cauliflower which was very, very good.
I went with a co-worker after work and thankfully it wasn't too busy. We had the French dip burger and it was tasty and juicy. The beer and the bartender were the best parts of the evening as the beer was great and they had a variety along with the super polite bartender that made us this wonderful dragon fruit drink that was amazing.
For a place that prides themselves on “hops” they also do a tremendous job on their food. Over 24 beers on tap (plus some craft beverages in cans/bottles) and all the beers we tried were fresh (implying that they keep their beer lines well-maintained and clean!). Several folks gave great recommendations for IPAs and food options. The cauliflower Korean bites were the best IMO, but the close second-place was the wings. Only two downsides were cold chips (called house crisps) and the black bean burger was very dry. Would offer to their staff to consider slapping some guac or avocado on the burger to give it flavor and make it more juicy.
Cozy bar, excellent food, great service at a fair price. Love the house made chips!

Well let me start off by saying every time I go to this place For any type of service it is always the best. If take out is always ready when you get there. loved every meal we've ordered from here. And always a good place to go before you have to go check on your room.
Cute town, great stop for family dining! We ate outside on the lower patio, which was shady and very pleasant. Kids had kids meals (the fish and chips, the chicken fingers—all great) they were great portion sizes for bigger kiddos and much higher quality than is typical for a kids menu. Buffalo burger was very good, truffle fries were “okay”, and the reuben was one of the better reubens I’ve had. Malt fries were fantastic. Great family dining, food was really good, service was great. 5/5
First time here and found another place that we will visit. Excellent selection of food and drinks. Service was fantastic.
