Very nice restaurant we went there for breakfast. The food portions are average. The omelets are big. Come hungry. The biscuits and gravy are wonderful. Our server was very polite courteous and attentive to what we needed especially the coffee. What do I recommend coming here and checking it out.

I was very pleasantly surprised after having lunch with a friend at this restaurant a few days ago. It had been years since I had been there. I was invited to go to lunch and when they said to meet at Four Star, I honestly didn't even know it was still in business. I never get to that part of town, sorry. Over a decade ago, we went there pretty often, but we moved to a different area and forgot about it. When I arrived, I was struck by how clean and cozy it felt. The menu is pretty standard for a "Family Restaurant" with a few nice surprises. I think there has to be something on the menu to please anyone. The Quesadilla options were very tempting. I was disappointed that there was only one soup option on the day I was there. Maybe it was my fault, we got there just after lunch time. I must say the soup was delicious though. Everyone enjoyed the meal they ordered. My friend ordered a salad and it was huge. It looked really good and made me wish I had chosen that. The grilled ham and cheese sandwich I had was really good. There was quite a lot of ham and it was not too salty. The cheese was melted and the meat was heated all the way through. (Not always the case when I've ordered it elsewhere. I like hot sandwiches!) I purposely ordered one of the least expensive item on the menu as I wasn't paying for my meal that day. There were many things I wanted to try. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. We were there during a quiet time and we hadn't seen each other in quite a long time. We were given the luxury of just sitting and talking and not feeling like we were inconveniencing anyone. The waitress was always nearby when we needed her but felt like we were sitting in the dining room of a friend's home. Very relaxing and comfortable. I hope to be able to return to this restaurant soon!
